Yeah young men need to know that. That there’s a way to express their sexuality. That it’s not just a dangerous thing you should keep to yourself. I think a lot of men and women would be happier if men felt more comfortable expressing their sexuality. Rather than neutering themselves for fear of making people uncomfortable. Be like the love interests in fantasy novels and aggressively pursue what you want, regardless of if it’s passé, don’t be the sexless nice guy.

I’m glad because in acotar I’m like this is all so fucked up.

I have only read the first one so I can banter with women about it. I give them shit about all this stuff and it makes it easy to ham fist some double entendre in there about us having kinky sex later. Which works way better than being a kind, respectful, gentleman. Kinda the whole point of my argument here.

exactly why date? Lol

I honestly have no problem with this type of material. My issue is the hypocrisy of people telling men to be these non threatening, enlightened, vanilla boys. When in reality what gets you going is the exact opposite. A hyper masculine, sexually aggressive, bad boy who may have taken you prisoner against your will at some point. And to your point about office romance stories, again a fantasy about having a relationship with a coworker. Something I was always told not to do. Which is bullshit adv…

Haha dunno mate, my modern, enlightened sensibilities make it hard for me to understand how these characters could be “sexy” in any way. I think any real person put into these situations would be so overwhelmed with disgust that by the time it was revealed that he’s secretly a good guy... It would be too late and no healthy person would be down. “I only roofied you and non consensually groped you because my boss said I had to, I’m actually a good guy” oh well in that case come here handsome….

Yup it’s why it doesn’t make sense to “just be yourself” instead you should curate your best, most appealing qualities and lead with those. If she earns your trust you can tell her later about your closet anime addiction.

It also blows as a man to be wanted by many women and never able to act on it. Just saying.

This is why you always gas up the homie. Make your buddies look good and they will make you look good and everyone will be more attractive to the ladies. GUY CODE!

It all tracks directly on to the successes and failures of my romantic life. All is confirmed upon real world experience.

I agree it’s a really stupid that he would choose a random illiterate pauper. However that’s why people dig it. He has oodles of power, she has none. He has oodles of experience and wisdom, she has little. She is his prisoner, but she starts to like him. It’s all these gross things that people truly find disgusting in real life. I can’t reconcile the hypocrisy of folks who hold these beliefs then flick their bean to all that stuff they ostensibly find “icky”
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 04:16 PM

You can depict any situation how you like it doesn’t change the facts of the situation. Is marital slavery okay if you fall in love eventually? I think most people would say no. But make him a handsome rich guy and boom it’s a “sexy” fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 04:10 PM

Agreeing under the auto mod. I’m not gonna say you should pretend to be someone you’re not, but definitely sell the best version of yourself. You should put your most impressive, most palatable, most confident foot forward. Save the DND, anime, and video game talk for after you’ve gotten your foot in the door.

Brother acotar is all about an ancient fairy prince (~500yo) manipulating a 19 yo girl. One of the most popular books of late. Lots of questionable to problematic intersexual dynamics in that series and women of all ages devour this type of media.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:42 PM

No but I think the fantasy just displays the hypocrisy of what people say is right and wrong vs what people truly believe is right and wrong.

Yeah I think my dating life turned around when I started looking at it like “selling myself” rather than displaying my true self. As a rule I never make a self deprecating joke anymore, never discuss anything I think might be “icky”. I have a shredded body and a nice face, why ruin a good thing by telling her I’m actually a dnd playing, HEMA enthusiast. I’ll brag about my “cool” hobbies though: soccer, snowboarding etc. Use the most flattering phrasing when describing my job, these kind of thing…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 01:52 PM

Well I’m scrutinizing and criticizing the hypocrisy. Leo D dating a young girl? Ewwwwww. Sexy 5000 year old fairy prince dating a young girl? Very nice, bag that prince, sis. The media designed for the female gaze pornifies these kind of relationships but any man who can pull it off in real life is “gross” this is the kind of thing that is both frustrating and hilarious.

I’m really good looking. When I match women they’re surprised that they are the first match in a few weeks or so. “But you’re like one of the only good looking guys I saw on there” It’s like… I’m not lyin. They really believe that because I’m good looking, women are throwing themselves at me on dating apps. It’s different. I probably do better than most men but still it’s no competition with women’s dating app/social media numbers.

I’ve had a girl laughing, good conversation, a kiss after the end of the date. She even left a hand lingering on my chest as she said “gosh you dress so well”. Of course I thought we were going on a second date. Turns out she felt no “spark”. Had me proper fooled mate.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 03:42 PM

I agree but for the sake of CMV I’ll say that there is a big group of women out there who do not know how to reciprocate this kind of gentlemanly behavior.

Getting lots of sex from women is one of the best ways to make sure you don’t get taken advantage of. Because your options will keep you from getting one-itis.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 03:38 PM

Dude one of the most popular book series right now involves fairies dating humans with age gaps exceeding 400 years. Not only is it not problematic to date someone younger than you. It’s literal fantasy to an enormous group.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 06:33 PM

I disagree that it “won’t allow” us to reckon. All it would take is a little honesty when talking to young boys.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 06:13 PM

No but there is this weird thing where they tell men that they like sensitive, sweet, gentlemen but that is just not what gives ladies that “spark” feeling they crave. Not saying women are all liars. Just that they have a hard time admitting they have a predisposition towards liking a certain archetype.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 11:50 PM

Be the man in whatever environment. At work? Be the best performer with all the answers. At game night? Be the one making everyone laugh. At the bowling league? Be the one with the skills and the knowledge. You don’t have to be king of the kingdom, be the king in the room.

I think a lot of us are scared to make girls feel uncomfortable. We’re constantly told that male sexuality is dangerous and violent somehow.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 08:02 PM

We all think we’re not good enough. So we never try.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 08:00 PM

I disagree. I was trained by women to be a perfect gentleman. Girls wanted me sure, but I never figured out how to make things sexual. So a lot of things fell flat because I had no idea how to escalate. Kinda “respected” women to much. Never allowed myself to be “selfish” when the time came. Basically neutered myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 07:54 PM

Romantic movies. Coached by elders to be a gentleman. They left out everything about how to initiate sex or escalate.

Talking about sex with a girl you have not had sex with is almost certainly gonna get you kicked to the curb. You’re supposed to imply you’re interested without ever saying “I’d like to have sex with you” or “what kind of sex are you into”

Yeah probably just the way I was raised. But it’s okay I’m doing really well in the lady department now. But years wasted neutering myself to be the gentleman I thought girls wanted.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 02:11 PM

Raised to be a gentleman and basically de sexify myself. Basically wasted my 20s trying to be a good guy, yet never had a faithful partner. So now I’m basically just using women in lieu of masturbation.

I think the problem with the blue pill is they still believe that being good will make the universe bestow upon you good things. When in reality, good things happen to bad people all the time. And they disregard that humans are just apes. Even the most enlightened human has fantasies and urges they may be good at controlling but they are constantly working to fight the urge to pursue those fantasies.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 01:44 PM

I think it’s a generally good rule though. Ever wonder why celebrity relationships hardly ever last? Just like I wouldn’t want to date some 10/10 insta model. Or a salesperson who travels a lot.

That’s what I’ve been told but the response to these types of men is overwhelmingly positive from what I’ve seen out on the “grass”. You kind of have to assume girls are interested to go up and chat them. That’s arrogant to me. To assume someone is interested based on a simple look or minor compliment. Especially when ladies explicitly say ALL THE TIME that a simple look or kind gesture or compliment does NOT necessarily mean she is interested. Also I think it’s arrogant to advertise the way you…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 01:08 PM

Dunno, I don’t personally feel that way but it’s how I imagine folks with a negative view on these ladies arrived on that sentiment.

I don’t put a lot of stock in those statistics. I’ve seen enough of the behavior of people in real life now that I don’t really need any further evidence. Sure I could dissect the data and scrutinize the validity of the arguments but why do that when I grew up around women, was trained by them to be the most “husband material” guy ever. Then realize they don’t date guys like me. Furthermore I’m a good looking guy, had moderate success following the principles I learned growing up. However when I…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 05:24 PM

Because they almost certainly had opportunities and never had the guts to just stick it out with one person. Maybe they had a string of bad relationships but with the access that women enjoy it’s hard to believe that they never had a decent man to settle down with. Rightly or wrongly people perceive them as having squandered good relationships in hopes there was greener grass somewhere else.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 04:48 PM

I reckon it’s probably for safety reasons. Cant have men out here thinking they can get away with what the sexy fairy prince does in that spicy novel. Because most men are not a sexy fairy prince. So they say that is actually gross, and hope that a guy who is super hot and rich ignores their shit test and pursues them anyway. Sooooo romantic…..
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 04:13 PM

I listened to women my whole life and rarely got laid. Started watching the way they act and listening to men who have had success with women and instantly had more success. Also I would contend that if you examine media made by women for women you’ll see that those “mansplainers” are not far off. It’s something in the way women want to portray their preferences while speaking to men. It’s as though they want to ignore what actually makes them tingly and instead pretend like a boring khaki pants…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 04:03 PM
2

Well how about if once in a while ladies made sense or conceded that maybe they do display a liiiiiittle but of hypocrisy. Here and there. It’s disingenuous to say that women always mean what they say because…. Well we all know that it’s just not the truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 03:32 PM

Agreeing under the auto mod. Yes. I grew up with women. I’ve heard it all. Mostly waxing poetic about how important communication is, how gross toxic masculinity is. And guess the archetypes that these women’s boyfriends fit into. You guessed it. Terrible communicators who are masculine caricatures. It’s like they know intuitively what they should go for but just can’t get their sex brain to agree with their real brain and their heart.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 03:19 PM

Well that’s easy to understand. Thanks lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 02:21 PM

Okay then how do you create spark. Because from my experience delving into media written for the female gaze, all the things that make a girl “tingly” are problematic things like sexual aggression, power dynamics, or in the best case scenario rakish, bold, confident to the point of arrogance dudes. Thats what frustrates good dudes who were raised to be gentleman. Furthermore when you hear ladies say “ewwww I hate it when men are (insert toxic masculine trait)” and then all the media they consume…

The question is can society actually change enough for this to happen. It’s brutal when you try to be god as a man and everyone basically laughs at you for it. Like “how could you be so naive, or course women want be faithful to you if you’re just a safe guy with no edge”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 06:20 PM

Just do that with someone else and see how they feel about it.

Why understand someone when you can vilify and dismiss them? Classic low iq debate strategy (ad hom)
/r/AllPillDebate12/09/23 04:52 PM

Don’t: buy expensive shit for a first date. Only date one girl. Give her anything more if she won’t reciprocate something upon the first gift/gesture. Do: “chase” every girl you’re interested in. Get multiple numbers. Chat with every girl you see. TLDR: chase all the time but stop when it’s clear she’s a bad person.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 04:49 PM
2

I think part of the problem is that women fuck dudes who they may not want to be with forever and very carefully vet dudes they see as husband material. Which from a guy’s perspective really hurts because it feels like being taken advantage of.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 04:46 PM

The fact that words like “fat phobic” “slut shaming” exist reveals that people (read: men) ARE actually somehow bad for not wanting to be with a fat lady or a former sex worker. Sooo…. You’re wrong? Forced? Maybe not the right word. But pressured socially… that does happen all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 04:44 PM

Chivalry was always just about reigning in powerful people (knights) form abusing their power. So now that women have a lot of power too, they should learn how to not abuse it. It’s called being a good person.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 04:40 PM

BASED. This a great take. I’ve had much more success recently by simply treating women with less respect. I bust their balls when they do something stupid. I make it clear I only want casual sex. I will only take them on a proper date as a way to show off, not to prove how worthy I am.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 04:31 PM

Ahhh but it’s MUCH more common which I think counts for something and elucidates the fact that it is possible.

I’ve met lovely ladies by waiting for things to come to me but I’ve also missed out on a lot of opportunities this way too. But admittedly if you let a lady chase you she probably REALLY wants ya. As opposed to trying to constantly court and prove yourself to a lady.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 06:34 PM

It is a confidence booster. And women put an absolute premium on guys with confidence and guys who are a hot commodity. I see relationships where guys cheat and girls put up with it. Rightly or wrongly, it’s something that people seem to appreciate. For the record I think it’s messed up.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 06:23 PM

Is it offensive? Yes. Question answered. I would maybe say it’s annoying less than offensive but still it irks me. Nobody gives a shit about my safety. My question for you would be. Are you an enlightened person who believes in equality? or conservative, traditional person who thinks we should caudal and infantilize women like the days of yore.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 05:34 PM

So your argument is that ignorance is bliss. My counterpoint would be: why debate anything philosophical as this? I think it’s important, through discussion and debate we can potentially, by degrees become more enlightened together.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 03:06 PM

As a man. If I were giving dating advice to a lady I’d say yes it is a red flag. However I think ladies know these things they just have a hard time letting go of their innate preferences based on biology and social programming.

This is our lot in life. I’m a good looking guy and for a long time I chose to play the passive game. Read: technical salesman who pretty much only gets customers who are already interested. It’s obvious what is the truth. What is confusing is people espousing certain ideals only to live their life in the contradictory way. “I’m an enlightened woman, I would be totally comfortable being the breadwinner and having a SAHH” but then proceeds to date hyper masculine caricatures who do not even come close to that archetype.

Agree but it’s just as likely that some ideology comes along that complete swings things the other direction. I agree that for humans it’s more about cultural barriers to reproduction than law of the jungle, survive long enough to have offspring. “Fitness” doesn’t always mean big and strong, it can also mean cunning, slight, and quick. To me it’s: to be honorable and good and have less sexual opportunities, orrrrrr be a caricature of gross masculine traits that will let you have more access but will ultimately eat away at your soul. This idea that “women don’t like to be hit on” is a LIE and the fact that it “feels dangerous” to be hit on is part of the allure.
