Gotcha. Yeah, they definitely don't all fall into one camp, and I wasn't trying to contend that in the OP

They can't possibly fall into both Category A and B...Category A women were intelligent enough to figure out religion is bulls#!+, while Category B women were not intelligent enough to figure out that religion is bulls#!+. Congrats to you for leaving! Did you literally say "Bitch" to them?

There's plenty of stuff about marriage and family in the Bible. I'll list verses if I have to. As for the Old Testament laws, what basis do you have for saying the marriage and family laws only applied to that specific group of people, and at that time? As far as Jews are concerned, those laws still apply... As for Paul, two things: First, are you a Paulline Christian? Whose instruction on marriage and family comes first? Jesus' or Paul's? Second, with Paul, were you referring to 1 Corinthians 7…

You told me to broaden my thinking, as if I was saying only women do this and/or all they use is religion... I meant to say "this is the only place."

If you go back and read the OP, you'd see that I was not saying this is all women, and that I was not saying this is the place this kind of manipulation goes on. Nice try, though.

"Christianity is full of MGTOW wisdom man." Uh, no. Have YOU read the Bible? Two of the core components of Christianity are marriage and family.

"If the answer is the latter then the problems would be curtailed by adherence to any of the major religions I'm aware of." What? The problems would be curtailed by me adherring to them? You can't be serious, right? Mainstream religions are slap full of irrational women...

If anything, I was trying to take a jab at women. Religion is a whole sep issue that is incidental here. That said, I don't see how you can be a MGTOW and cling to any sort of mainstream religion. If you do, you too are guilty of incongruency. You can't be a mainstream Christian and be a MGTOW. Something has got to give.

I was under the impression that it is. Or, at least mainstream religion. Maybe not a generic concept of spirituality, though.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
