Its called AP(asset protection) in some companies. They do not get physical unless attacked. Its a liabilty thing, one the store doesnt want to get sued because an AP associate just clothslined a theif, and two and company doesnt want to deal with the very expensive liabilty of an employee injuried on the job. 1	Female YouTube star Lauren Love pretends to be a Walmart Supervisor in prank video and fires random unsuspecting employees just for reactions and views. Walmart has several layers of management, including layers of management who you pretty much never see or talk to unless you are a salaried manager. So while its possible for an associate to not know who their market manager is, i find it hard to believe that these people fell for it. A firing would never be done on the salesfloor, its the typical "johnson can you come to my office" deal, and it would be a manager you recognise never a higher, out of store manager.
