I just don’t understand the extra steps. Breathalyser, put her in jail for 24 hrs, send her home and that’s it. Let the judge take it from here. DUI, couple of years probation and all is done without having to interact with a drunken person.

Yeah, exactly. I find the field tests pretty degrading and escalating the situation. Just put her on the big breathalyser and it’s all done. No need to do a 1/2 hr. show, who can touch their nose and stand on one leg.

Don’t US police stations have breathalysers ? These field sobriety tests are ridiculous! Where I live, you have to take a breathalyser test if you were involved in an accident. If it is positive, you have to do a blood test too. No standing on one foot shenanigans. Alcohol content in blood above 0.5‰ and you are done.

Tidy up daily, vacuum and mop the floors one to two times a week, clean the toilet bowl. Clean your windows. I do it once every two months. And most importantly, make your bed the moment you get up. Yeah these articles seem much more informative. She actually did get punished pretty harshly to be honest. A month in jail and a suspended sentence with a three year trial period is not nothing. The bad thing here is, that her punishment was not a direct consequence of her actions, but due to the shitty police work and legal process.
