Trying to pretend? Do you read what you wrote before you typed it? I mean, generally people don't try to pretend. They either pretend that they know something or they don't. There is no failed attempt at pretending. I am in grad school and have taken a number of philosophical and debate-oriented courses and can assure you that, while I am no expert, I do understand the subject fairly well.

Enough to prove that you are the father of a child. If you were ever involved in a custodial or criminal case, this information could be accessed by the government to be used against you. Wow. I'm a biochemist and I honestly never even knew this. But, then again, I my coursework only involved some genetics and we didn't discuss this technique. That is disturbing. I was debating sending in a test kit, even paid for it and received it, until I realized what could happen if I did. Threw it in the trash.

This is why I refuse to hand over my DNA to services like 23andme. Tom Leykis mentioned on his show a while back that you can be found if you have given your DNA to one of these companies if a child you didn't know existed comes looking or if the mother comes looking.

I see this shit on Tinder and other sites commonly. I flag all of these profiles because, in essence, it is a scam. Although the women claim that the man will have no responsibility to the child, the law doesn't see it that way and the man will eventually be drained for child support. ​
