Hmm I didn't know that. To me DFW is the most genuine of the modern semi-academic/semi-popular writers. If you ever get back into it Jerzy Kosinky, Paul Auster, Kingley Amis, and possibly Tao Lin are writers you'd probably like.

haha I think that honor should go to michael chabon or even better John Green. If you ever get a chance you should read a few pages from Eggers first book 'a heartbreaking work of staggering genius' he explains that the reason he's such a cuck is because he was raised by burly domineering women.
