Japan prepares for its 2018 Women's March next month, to fight discrimination against women and action "A Day without Women". Presumably few men will notice/attend due to their overtime exceeding 80 hours per week for over 25% of workers, usually unpaid, with 100 hour work weeks extremely common.Let me preface this by saying I am in no way an expert. I'm simply a haffu (=person with one Japanese parent). You can start from here, although the article mainly talks about historical stuff, not so much current day stuff. Japan has a very homogeneous population (something like 98% Japanese), and so has very few outside cultural influences. Unless you live in the urban areas, where people are more progressive, Japan is very traditional and conservative. But even so, there are still some issues… | /r/MensRights | 28/02/18 01:58 PM
How the MRM addresses incels, or more broadly, the state of males pursuing romantic relationshipsI like browsing forums regarding relationship advice. One of the most common theme I have found is the following: "I thought my spouse was X, but it turned out that Y. Now I'm miserable and I don't know what to do, because we've already bought a house together and we have three kids. Help!" I've seen this in so many variations, whether it's about Dead Bedrooms or domestic abuse or simple incompatibility. People rush to get into relationships without communicating, without actually getting to kno… | /r/MensRights | 28/02/18 12:05 AM
How the MRM addresses incels, or more broadly, the state of males pursuing romantic relationshipsWhat crucial advice do they need to hear? The one everyone should hear, again and again, so that they don't end up talking out of their asses. Your experiences are very limited and biased, and thus constitute too small a sample to lead to any meaningful inductions. In other words, just because that girl from high-school was a lying bitch or a cheating whore doesn't mean all/most women are. This is why sexists exist. This is why racists exist. In fact, I would argue that it's the root of most evi… | /r/MensRights | 27/02/18 11:53 PM
How the MRM addresses incels, or more broadly, the state of males pursuing romantic relationshipsIf they are, should there be social movements aimed at changing the attitudes of women and giving men an "equal chance at getting laid?" At first, this sounded weird to me. Telling women to lower their standards? Telling women who to be attracted to? Sounds really weird. But then I thought, wait, aren't there a bazillion of campaigns doing the exact same thing for women? Things like, curvy is beautiful, body-positivity, beauty in all colors, etc. They actively campaign for the notion that all wo… | /r/MensRights | 27/02/18 11:45 PM
So sick of all the double standards around mens bodies and genitalsMagazines write what the readers want to read. Apparently, men want to read about ideal penis size. There is no conspiracy. It's simple marketing. Also, bear in mind the culture of click-bait. Many publications may deliberately publish something controversial in order to go viral, create a comment war, and thus get more hits. | /r/MensRights | 27/02/18 11:40 PM

Presumably few men will notice/attend due to their overtime exceeding 80 hours per week for over 25% of workers, usually unpaid, with 100 hour work weeks extremely common.Uh, guys, this isn't exactly worthy of mockery. There are plenty of women's issues in Japan, especially in the more rural areas. Yes, men are still expected to work and provide and all that, but it doesn't mean women there have the privileges they have in the West. If you want to talk about men's rights, do that. Help Japanese men form MRA groups, inform them, organize them, etc, and do your marches. But you can't mock women for doing the same thing you should be doing for your own rights. If yo… | /r/MensRights | 27/02/18 11:09 PM |
| -3 | "Sure my boss took advantage of me, but I will always remain firm on this point: it was a consensual relationship," Lewinsky wrote in 2014. 2018, "I changed my mind. I was raped."Careful with those generalizations, good sir. As a young woman in my sexual prime, I can assure you I have absolutely no interest in fucking Trump or Obama or Bush or Clinton, nor would the knowledge that they want me have any reaction on me. I'd rather fuck my dad than any of those old-ass men. Do I find power sexy? Not really. Ambition is sexy. Confidence is sexy. Conscientiousness is sexy. Intelligence is sexy. Those personality traits can get you power, but power itself is meaningless. If it… | /r/MensRights | 27/02/18 11:00 PM |
Why the invention of the term "toxic masculinity" is damaging to society. And why is there no such thing as "toxic femininity"?There absolutely is toxic femininity. Why do so many people think it doesn't exist? In fact, this very subreddit talks about instances of toxic femininity all the time. Gold-digging is toxic femininity. Being a professional victim is toxic femininity. The entire culture surrounding Mean Girl Syndrome is toxic femininity. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/18 06:16 PM
Men are expected to sacrifice their lives, I wonder what would happen it this Deputy was femaleBeing incompetent is not the same as being guilty of a crime. I'm not advocating for the deputies to be arrested, but they should be fired/suspended/whatever, since they failed to do their jobs. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/18 06:08 PM
How far the mighty reddit has fallen. Posts about mensrights on other subs are nil, whereas posts criticizing incels had tens of thousands of upvotes. It's easy to denigrate and dehumanize those who are below us. "All those homeless people are just lazy, why don't the just get a job?" "All those depressed people are just faggots, why don't they just suck it up?" "All those incels are just losers, why don't they just get a life?" Most incels are the way they are because of extreme marginalization turned into extreme resentment. Sure, calling them retards makes you feel good about yourself, but it solves absolutely nothing. Incels are just anoth… | /r/MensRights | 25/02/18 12:28 PM
Britney Spears’ Ex Kevin Federline Requests More Child SupportI don't understand the morality of the argument that a parent's child support dues should be a percentage of their earnings. Shouldn't it be calculated by the average cost of living? Seriously, with $20,000 a month, I could literally retire. | /r/MensRights | 25/02/18 12:18 PM
