Whatever doc is available to sign for divorce, do it asap. She showed her colors

I would strongly suggest security cameras and one of those personal cameras for when you have to meet her.

Same situation. Not sure how to get my 50%. Following!

Get some hidden USB charging cameras or get security cameras installed in and around your domicile. You may need the proof in the future depending on the lies she tells

I thought Disney dads were just trying to make the most of their time with the kids, as that time can be taken away so easily by the x with false accusations etc

She bought a place 150 meters away and then blocked me from seeing my kids. 🤦 had to fight in mediation for too fricken long to get the judge to see her spitefulness

Sounds like OP dodged a bullet. Stay strong and move on

Strictly a business decision. If you could cruise through life while your significant other worked to provide and build the asset pile, then leave on a dime and take 1/2 (plus payments for years to come), wouldn’t you?

Take your kid and get the fuck out. Then deal with it in court. There is no coming back from what she is doing and she will only get stronger as it continues.

Sounds like you know your boundaries but are unable to enforce them for fear of being the "bad guy". Simply say "No". No reasoning. No negotiating. No fucking around. Its your boundary and if she tries to step over it, walk. If you are frustrated enough to post on reddit about it, and saying you are going to file, simply just file and move on. My advice would be to take your son with you and be the main custodial parent.

Focus on you now. You were so adamant about focusing on "us" before. Let your new chapter go forward. You dont have the mountains of debt you would have had to cover for her. Additionally you wont have to deal with the bad vibes etc. Now is your time to succeed, go get it.

Don’t forget to turn on timeline tracking on your phone to automatically track your location. May be beneficial if she says you were somewhere you shouldn’t be. Located in google maps

When someone gets angry at you for your reaction to their action, it means they hold themselves in higher standards than you. They only consider you as something to be controlled and manipulated. I’m glad you are out of that hell. The longer you are away from it, the stronger you will become. You’ll soon be able to look back on the situation and realize that all of the yelling and tactics were simply an attempt to control you and make you do what she wanted. Setting clear boundaries for future i…

Depends on which country you are in. Western & more civilized countries have orders in place that are enforceable

You had me until number five. It really depends on where the OP is living. It’s quite common (where I am) for the ex to take the kids and completely block visitation until the courts order it, and even then it’s not enforceable.

Put small hidden micro USB charger cameras in common areas of your home. Only argue in front of them. They are motion activated and will record any arguments so she cannot claim domestic violence Move over 1/2 your money to separate bank account with only your name on it Turn on google timeline tracking on your phone. It will record all movement so she cannot say you are somewhere you werent supposed to be If you can ammicably do the divorce without mediation & court, do it. If not, strap in and…

Go to google map of your phone and turn on your timeline tracking. If she says you are somewhere you shouldn’t be, u will have proof. Also consider camera of all interactions

What is the purpose of the marriage? Keep in mind you are entering into a business/financial agreement. If you are bringing more assets to the table, what is she bringing to even the table? You don’t have to be married to be in a monogamous relationship

Take the kids and go

Take the kid first and move out. Then file for the divorce. You will have the initial custody

From now on every small step forward is bringing you closer to peace and success. Those steps will be hard, but keep pushing on. Left foot, right foot, left foot.

Awesome advice. Thank you!

It’s been 1.8 years of her blocking with no end in sight unfortunately. Any excuse is accepted and visitation contracts are not enforced. There is no joint custody. Therefore I have to move forward to provide for child support and work

Stonewall is the best option. Let her threaten and dig her own hole
/r/Divorce_Men26/08/24 01:58 PM

Then drag it out. Ruin her financially

I’m moving 3 hours away next month.

She is the enemy now. Information is power from this point on. Only basics regarding the daughter. She will use ANY info against you so don’t give it. Look up greyrock for an idea on how to cut off the info
/r/Divorce_Men16/08/24 01:17 AM
2

Then stop all info immediately from now. No social media, nothing she can use. Only provide financials subpoenad by the courts
/r/Divorce_Men16/08/24 12:50 AM
2

Don’t give her any info at all
/r/Divorce_Men15/08/24 10:08 AM
8

Don’t let her know anything about the business financials. Don’t pay yourself a salary above what you were previously making. She will ask for your tax filings anyway to figure out alimony etc.
/r/Divorce_Men15/08/24 10:05 AM
1

Get her out of your house. Period. Then take your time. Unless she goes for spousal support, which she may do... if she has a lawyer. But she doesnt right?

I always wondered if it was just blind pride for her lack of apologies. Either way, glad to be away from it!

She sounds like a manipulative nutter. Change the locks while she is at work and let her be an independent woman.

Maybe give him some advice on how to take some protective actions if he does get married? Like prenups etc? Or red flags to look out for?

Parental alienation doesn’t stop there. She may be brainwashing your daughter as well. Try whisking your daughter away instead of her, while you still have the right to do it

Absolutely get a test

Take your daughter and get the fuck out. You only stuck around for her anyway. Don’t look back
