Well that’s your opinion, which you are entitled to. I think it should be a combination of both how easy it is to falsely accuse, and what damage could have been caused. I mean, it’s pretty hard to falsely accuse someone of murder, if you don’t have a body, or any substantial evidence to back you up, and an accused murderer is generally not automatically judged as guilty by society. But someone accused of rape is judged as guilty by society, resulting in destruction of their lives regardless of …

It is relevant though. It’s way easier for a woman to falsely accuse a man of rape and get away with it, then it is to falsely accuse someone of murder. Hence the punishment for falsely accusing rape should be harsher.
