Since you've had the discussion already, you could work it into a conversation reminiscing about your history together. Where you've been, which flows onto where you're going - that sort of thing. At the risk of being absolutist; assuming he's informed about the risk factors in pregnancy at later stages in life, his response likely depends on whether he's truly risk-averse or just decision-averse.

I think C.S.Lewis caught onto something with the character of Aslan. He's a terrifying lion able to tear people to shreds, but also a cuddly kitty to those he loves haha.

Not sure what I should've expected from someone calling themselves 'dog mom', but this feels about right.

A commercialised church environment drove her away? A verse comes to mind... Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” - Matthew 21:12-13, ESV As you say, there's definitely RP stuff going on here (always is), but the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Depending on whether you remain Christian or not 👇👇 /r/RPChristians Apart from that, being on a high earning, high dedication career path might scare guys off, but it's not like medicine isn't an extremely noble and caring profession. It automatically makes you high value - not just seen as financially capable, but also virtuous. Also, if you're upfront about your willingness to set aside career intensity for kids, that's massive for the guy, and moreso in your case because it's a larger sacrifi…

When a couple breaks up in Hollywood, it’s the woman who is scorned. The woman is left sad and alone. She’s the failure. F that. When was the last time you read about a divorced, childless man referred to as a spinster?” Never. Probably because SMV doesn't work the the same for both the sexes, Jennifer.

Yes, the illustrations seem to forget that Christ was a working man for many years before he was of age to teach. Performing a job that required strength of arm.

I guess the other side of the coin of admitting you're corrupted and sinful is (or at least should be) glorious ambition, a desire to become more like the creator. A man who sets for himself that high a standard must be incredibly commited to self-improvement, in whatever aspect the Lord demands of him. I do still see what is tempting to Christian women from the bad boys, it's a self sufficiency that is appealing. However, it is egotistical and hollow upon closer inspection. Better to have a fou…

One aspect I've yet to see discussed here (still reading through the sidebar material) is that Christian men may be seen as less 'alpha' because of their submission to Christ, acknowledgement of their deep flaws, etc. Christian guys know they're fundamentally broken humans, working to be more like Christ, that's not exactly 'bad boy' material. If you concede this (and you don't have to, please, go ahead and refute it) then would it not reduce the need of Christian women to work on their physical…

It has been suggested that perhaps the church, being a welcoming place for the broken and weary, naturally harbors more of the dregs and downtrodden of society. While this is likely a part of the reason, it seems insufficient to explain the whole of the situation. I'd like to elaborate on this point, using the following verse as a framework. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God - Matthew 19:24, NIV T…

[in] Biblical times courtship was a short affair so premarital sex is not an issue as it is today. So have a short courtship? But that would mean he wouldn't be able to abdicate the commitment of marriage and still get sex. One RP concept is that women are the gatekeepers to sex, and men are the gatekeepers to commitment. In that lens, he wants to take, but not to give. Edit: Apologies if this seems cold or harsh. I simply don't like this guy from what you've described. I want to share how much …

He spends almost every non-work moment with his girlfriend, but he says that he cares for me and that his feelings are complicated. I'm sorry, really I am, but actions speak louder than words. He's either not willing to give you up emotionally (which is wildly selfish), or can't work up the spine to refuse you outright. "Complicated" is a cop out on his behalf. He needs to commit either way, or he's not worthy of you to begin with. As hard as it is to hear, all signs lead to this guy not being w…

This is both very insightful and hilarious, haha. Worried about having a fat partner? Your solution is to have a FAT partner!

It may be unrealistic, depending on your community, but I certainly don't think it's wrong. If you hold yourself to that high standard of physical training then it should be more acceptable to her that she follow suit. One psychological tell would be how she talks about her exercise, or lack of - whether she has a vigor for it, appreciation of it, or eagerness towards it. Similarly, if you model this mindset as part of your frame she may come to accept it, see it as an essential aspect of health…

He did criticize MGTOW fairly harshly, and then apologized for the critique at a later date. He recanted his derision, but not so much that he accepted it as a wholly healthy movement. That sequence of events leads me to believe he may have delved deeper into the assortment of men's subs (MRAs, TRP and MGTOW) that grapple with the issues at hand.
