Keeping her anonymity teaches both her and other young women that they will not be named should they commit a similar crime. Yup. If they're not going to be named, what's the problem with them being taught that? the men in this case should never have been named. what's with the edit? The death threats, mass downvoting of anybody not toeing the party line, the fact that all my previous comment history going back a week has been downvoted within the last few hours, that one line insults get upvoted handsomely. Folks seem to want a more solid answer as to why she shouldn't be named along with the innocent other than "She's 16".
