As someone else pointed out, in 2005, the site was more for hookups. In 2015, more for relationships. Women hooking up tend to expect that the man has had a lot of partners of he's on a hook-up site. But, getting relentlessly pursued for sex when you want a relationship gets old pretty fast and women seeking relationships have increasingly been more intolerant to those they dub as "fuckboys." So, they see men without many partners as being less likely to cheat them for sex. And, men nowadays ten…

Slavery? Really? It's bad, but that's not the right term for it and you're both making your own argument look disproportional and not recognizing the horrors of actual slavery. Men not being able to wear dresses as a feminist issue? Sure, but few feminists would take up arms over something so minute. Fathers having difficulty with custody is most definitely a feminist issue that gets picked apart frequently. Men aren't seen as caretakers because of the "women are the home makers, men are the bre…

There is no feminist 'doctrine.' One woman writing for the Irish Examiner is not a 'doctrine.' Almost all feminists recognize men's issues. Most just also see them as stemming from misogyny.

Honestly, killing the mood is better than not getting consent. Absence of a no isn't a yes. But, what people forget is that consent isn't "May I have permission to insert my penis into your vagina?" It doesn't even have to be verbal, though it should be. There are so many sexy ways to ask.

That's all the legal proceedings AFTER someone has been accused. Yes, then it does lean in favor of the perpetrator. But, the laws are generally put in place to prevent people from becoming victims first. Again, using the drinking example: A drunk person cannot consent because they are not in the frame of mind to make reasonable decisions. A drunk person is responsible for rape because, even drunk, they are in a a well enough frame of mind to make reasonable decisions. Do these two contradict on…

While it's to be expected that people will take advantage of you and should prepare for that, it's still vile and illegal and completely warrants being upset... at the bare minimum. Here's the way I see it: two people consent while sober: great one person does not consent and both are sober: rape two people consent while drunk: fine- neither one can really be taking advantage of the other then. one person does not consent and both are drunk: rape one drunk person and one sober person consents: r…

Alone? It doesn't, but you can't really ever garuntee that you will be alone on the road. Additionally, while the laws are in place firstly to protect the other drivers- would be victims, it's there for the drunk driver, too. He doesn't want to die, most likely, and needs to be protected from himself in that scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/17 04:39 PM

In the eyes of the law, your actions only matter as they affect other people. It aims to prevent people from becoming victims. It will always, and should always imo, be more extreme in protecting victims than being fair to perpetrators. That's why a drunk person isn't able to consent to sex because they're not mentally present enough, but a rapist is held accountable for raping while drunk because he is mentally present enough (which is a better example than your false equivalency). It's not mea…

I think that it can signal virtue, but that all in all that attitude is beginning to die out. You're probably right in part about the viewing their potential based on sex bit, but I think that the distaste comes from the idea of "selling yourself out" for something you don't want to do, which applies to many things other than sex, as well. I think this is also why so many women are perfectly okay with other women being prostitutes, but dead set against it for themselves, because they feel that t…

Thank you for your well thought out answers, as well. Seriously. It's nice to discuss rather than argue. Yes, I think that's a reasonable assessment, at least for the majority. As for why I'm the only blue pill to woman to reply so far, my best guess is that the title sounds a bit condemning from the start and others probably thought that a debate wouldn't get very far. I actually almost scrolled past and wasn't planning to reply for that reason, but decided to check it out anyway just to see. A…

I wish I had saved the threads. Usually on askreddit, but I might keep my eye out here, as well. There's already a reply somewhere about how a woman is stupid if she doesn't use her sex appeal to get ahead.

Fair enough on the false equivalency. And no, I don't. I don't have anything against prostitutes and don't think that they should be disrespected. But, the prospect of camming of selling sex being a hugely viable option doesn't really fit the reality of most women's values, and for good reason. For one, I find it to be pretty insulting, as if womens' actual merits and training aren't needed because I have sex appeal. But, that might just be me. I also simply do not see myself as a good fit for t…

I think a lot of men on this site drastically overestimate women's sex as it pertains to their careers and incomes. At least three times in the past few months, I've been told that, because I'm a woman, I'm poor by choice because I could always become a prostitute or camgirl, or that I'm stupid not to use my body to get ahead when it's available. 🙄 Yeah, and you could become a heroin dealer to make money or frame your coworkers for mishaps to get ahead. Doesn't mean that's a half decent option.

It's not the horse bit that makes horse girls "crazy." Horseback is an expensive hobby for someone who doesn't own a horse and many times more expensive for someone who does, and most riders have their own horse. "Horse girls" are only ever able to participate in the sport because they've grown up rich and their parents have indulged them. Add that in with the competitiveness of horseback and you have a perfect storm. Of course, this is a stereotype and not a truth across the board, but there's …

Me? Nah, I'm only slightly taller than average at 5'6 and have been dating the same guy since we were young teens and still growing anyway. But, from talking to my taller lady friends, and especially my guy friends and my bf's friends (much larger sample group) they all seem to say that they'd be significantly turned off by a woman taller than them.

I mean yeah. If that approach were to result in less child rapes, then by all means, do it. But, because in this case the perpetrator and the victim are separate, and you can lock up one without posing a risk to the other, I'd guess that it wouldn't. It's some food for thought, though.

Like the parent comment said, a lot of the advice in TRP, about working out and not playing games and gaining confidence is good. But, this is just standard dating advice for anyone and not unique to TRP at all. That's why TRP is widely considered to be a hate group: because the only thing that sets it apart and is unique to it is its disparaging attitudes towards women (which, by the way, women hate.) Any success with TRP comes from that standard dating advice that is present literally anywhere…

I wholeheartedly agree that women on drugs should not get pregnant when birth control is available, and while I also agree that abortion would be a good option then, due to legal + financial issues in some states (Texas comes to mind) and religious ones, that gets a bit more tricky. I have to disagree with the illness and psychological trauma. If you've been with the person for a long time, then it would awful to bail on them when they need you most like that, and most of these situations are referring to very new relationships. I think no oral is a perfectly good reason. That's the only way I can cum with a partner, so of they won't do that, I'm out. Also, someone who won't do oral usually won't do it because they think their partner's genitals are gross, which tells you a lot about their maturity as a whole.

Also, a lot of bustier women will just have cleavage in almost everything. Most of my shirts weren't made to show cleavage and look cute and sensible on my friends, but when I put it on it looks slutty and I'm spilling out of it. Just the way most tops with a normal neckline (I hate how high necklines feel, and even then my boobs stand out) fit in me and I've gotten used to it. And you know what? I'm not necessarily saying that you held them. Apologies for the wording. Generally, incels tend to believe that women are a hivemind, that women should be required to have sex with incels, that women are another species, that we're sluts, only out for "Chad," that we shouldn't judge you based on your looks, but that incels should be able to judge us on our looks, etc. Did you believe these before and if so, do you still now?

Why don't we just ask her? This is a seriously good question. I have not once seen an RPiller actually ask a woman. But, regardless, women all the time tell RP that these conclusions are blantantly wrong. In response, we're told that we're lying and manipulating them, or just blind. And that's why RP doesn't even ask: they've made up their minds already. I was with you until the end. Physical harm is another story entirely. Perhaps women didn't evolve to cry more to manipulate. That's a huge assumption to make. Perhaps it wasn't women who evolved to cry more, but men who evolved to cry less to whisk tears away efficiently in order to see better while hunting (long distances running/walking makes some people tear up, particularly women). Women don't really cry to manipulate men. First of all, due to the many array of hormones that regulate our menstrual cycles ( mainly estrogens and progesterones, which are classes of many interacting hormones and not just two hormones) some women can be more emotional, plain and simple (though that doesn't impair their mental abilities, mind you). These affect other hormones in turn, including your endorphin levels (the happy hormone). Adding oestrogens and progestins to the mix can often make …

Feminism is a subculture and movement, not a religion, which worships a deity. There are SO many women that will masturbate again and again and again, with porn or without, with different techniques, and different tous, and it still doesn't do anything for them, so they just wind up stopping. Honestly, your first paragraph is dead on, but it's not necessarily anyone's fault. Men were made to have orgasms from penetration. Women weren't. The entire penis is available for stimulation. The vast majority of the clitoris is internal and the vast amount of women don't experience enough stimulation to orgasm from internal PIV sex. The very definition of rape is sex, of any kind or intensity, without consent. It has nothing to do with how rough it is. Just a lack of consent. The two are apples and oranges.

Beats me. I can see how someone who doesn't understand birth control and its effects might think that not being on it could be irresponsible, and I suspect that some of these people take a leap and extend that alleged irresponsibility to other things like sleeping around and having STDs, as well.

It tends to be the prevailing opinion in regard to sexually active young women not looking for a child and not on HBC or copper contraception. If you know you react terribly to progesterone and oestrogen, then it's more responsible to care for your health and just use barrier methods.

Yeah seriously. There are plenty of blue pill types, both men and women, at parties.

I'm entirely convinced that men, and even some women who speak ill of women not on birth control do not know the full scope of its effects. A woman not on birth control is not slutty or irresponsible or lesser. Hormones are huge. They are the difference between a man and a woman, and you are essentially asking her to mess with those hormones every single day for your own benefit. The only truly effective methods are hormonal ones and the copper IUD. Hormonal options can cause mood swings, depres…

There's already results of it out of Denmark, I believe, but I'd have to double check. But, what you fail to understand is that it's not a matter of justifying these actions. Could drug use during pregnancy ever be justified? No. Of course not. It's a matter of minimizing harm. As much as we may want justice for an act, if that justice in the end causes more harm than good, you're only working backwards. Your goal is to save babies from being born with disorders due to drug use during pregnancy?…

I'm not saying that's right, but your response was that if one group has to endure ineffective prosecution, another group should, too. The goal should never be to "get even," even at the expense of everyone, but to improve things for all parties.

Umm... Okay? Maybe then that means prosecuting isn't the way to go, then.

Many states have tried prosecuting women who gave birth to babies with abstinence syndrome. It tends to backfire massively. Instead of seeking help and trying to get off of the drugs, or onto less detrimental ones prescribed by her doctor, they tend to go underground and avoid prenatal care altogether, which normally results in both the mother and child being much sicker than they were to begin with, and it doesn't do a whole lot to limit the number of women in this situation at all (though numb…

For the record- I am a genetic biologist. It's a mixture of both "nature" and "nurture." Life sciences are going to have an excess knowledge of one and sociologists an excess in the other. You need both to analyze the extent of each and its overall effect. Edit: A word. Also, let me assure you that, as someone in the field of bioinformatics/genomics myself, those who believe that genetics are the only things that determines personality and preferences and not environment at all are few and far b…

Two x is mostly open letters about almost sexual assault, and abortion experiences, at least the ones that get the most traction. I like them. While I can see how they might come off as a bit overreaching to others, when it comes down to it, they're vocal. Not violent, and not promoting violence.

If your just talking about evolution, no, not necessarily. It would mean more competition or more violence I need to protect myself from for me. Or, it could mean more help for me. We don't know. It's all speculation and it's almost unanimously agreed upon by sociologists and psychologists that genetics are quite limited in their effect over the preferences of people.

No. I look for this in my female friends, as well. If you're a lazy bum, regardless of sex, there's nothing there to cultivate into any kind of positive relationship, platonic or otherwise.

Even if you have nothing, there's a way to pay tuition. I speak from my own experience and the experience of nearly everyone around me. Plus, in most first world countries, it's incredibly affordable. If you didn't go to college, it's because you chose not to, not because your situation imposed it on you. I don't care what he pursues, so long as it's SOMETHING he cares about, whether that be art or law. I could never date a man who is going into a field just for the money, regardless of status o…

Kids might not even be in the question. I can take care of myself just fine. You should be able to, too. I'm looking for a partner to share things with, not a child who needs to be babysat. But more importantly, if you have no drive, we have nothing in common and our relationship is going to be really dull.

Haven't seen a lot of these, but if they are what you say, then yes- they should be banned, too.

Correlation is not causation. Status is really of little importance to women. What is important is drive. Your drive and aspirations mean a lot. If you're 30 years old and working at McDonald's, you're going to be unattractive, not because of the status, but because of the implication of the status as it pertains to your personality: that you have no aspirations or drive and lack discipline and the means to meet any goals.

The point of view is well understood. It's just terrible and delusional Name one thread that actually got any traction The one about an Incel stalking a woman in a park The one where an Incel asked for advice on how to rape women The ones where they've told women to kill themselves and then celebrated women's suicides The one where an Incel was harassing a woman for standing next to him at a bus stop The one where a guy tried to rape a girl because "women actually want to be raped."

Which left wing subs? Also, while moderation might be hell for a little bit in a lot of subs, with decent moderation, it's unlikely they'll take other subs over. I think it would do the incels some good- stepping out into the real word for a little bit and away from their strange cognitive biases.

TRP philosophy about accepting the "true nature" of women is just... wrong. Plain and simple. All the stuff about fitness and self improvement and such is great, but everything else just completely misses the mark when it comes to us. We're not horrid, despicable, lying, solipsistic, hypocritical, psychopathic cunts. We don't look for fame and money in men. We don't look to cheat on you for someone more "alpha." We don't look to manipulate you or only care about looks. Yeah, there are some menta…

The men in that sub really didn't see women as people, going so far as to call women "femoids" and actually saying that we are another species sometimes. And, when you dehumanize people like that, especially with those hateful ideas in place, it's the perfect recipe for violent action against them. I know I'm picking a disproportionately extreme example here, but just look at any genocide in history and you'll see this pattern again and again and again and again. They didn't just talk about init…

I'm going to brace myself for the hailstorm of downvotes now and just give my brutally honest opinion. Apologies ahead of time. To me, Red Pillers are like hypochondriacs. Hypochondriacs interpret normal body functions as illness and worry and go to the doctor to find a cure for a problem that doesn't exist. Of course, even though the problem doesn't exist, it's still very real as perceived by the hypochondriac. You can't cure their physical illness because there is no physical illness. You can …

I think that men are encouraged to go into STEM and discouraged from liberal arts. Women are encouraged to do the same verbally, but practically are still told that they are better fits for liberal arts over STEM. And, that conditioning determines what each individual will be best at down the line a fair bit. But, some people are just drawn to certain fields regardless of this, and are great at them anyway.

I can't speak for all women, so these will be broad generalities, but for starters... Most women are looking for a set of things, yes, but that doesn't change from day to day at all in... well, most all women. Men provide everything? Well that's just not true, plain and simple. I know just as many women who are the true breadwinners of the family as women who make less or stay home. And, even in those cases, they actually put in more hours on average on child care and housework than men do at th…

Honestly, my question is why now? They've been dangerous and delusional for a while. I'm thrilled with the decision, I just don't understand why THIS was the nail in the coffin. I think the leading theory rn is that a user pretended to be a woman on r/legaladvice trying to figure out how to get away with rape, but there's been some really rapey things in that sub for a while. Still, I think it was a good decision. It was starting to become a cult. When you get so many people like that together, …
