10 small yet important physical improvements that skyrocketed my dating lifeGrain of salt with all of this advice. Sounds like a young kid just getting into dating | /r/seduction | 27/02/25 03:39 AM
A random surprise this morning.Dude, who cares what she meant. Doesn’t matter. You’re living your best life now! | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/04/24 04:51 AM
Random Thoughts...6 weeks inBeen there buddy. I’m coming up on 1.5 years since separating and it will be 1 year since the divorce was finalized this March. A LOT can happen in a year. I know right now it sucks, but it will get better. The key is engraining in your brain that you are creating a new life without her in it. Look at it as building a new, much stronger foundation. Hit the gym, focus on your job and when you’re ready, meet new women. I started dating pretty quickly and I’m now in a healthy relationship with a mu… | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/02/24 04:41 AM
How did y’all get over ex moving on?Amen brother | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/24 04:39 AM
As soon as the ring came off….Your call brother. I started dating immediately and I don’t regret it one bit. Been in a happy relationship with a 29 year old (I’m 35) for 1 year now. Had my fun for 6 months prior to that, after we separated. Everyone is different though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/01/24 10:16 PM
How do I not be the creepy old guy?Ya dude I wouldn’t worry about it. People are too caught up in their own shit. Do you and carry on. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/12/23 06:54 AM
What would you do?There’s no inventory, prices aren’t going down | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/23 11:50 AM
I give up on love it doesnt existLook bud you just gotta have more awareness on what is and what isn’t a high quality woman. Do you consider yourself a high quality guy? Take away what you can from those old relationships and apply them to new ones. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/23 11:45 AM
I give up on love it doesnt existThis does not belong here. You just made bad decisions on short term relationships. Learn from them. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/23 01:12 AM
Why are we telling men to wait a year before dating? Each person is different. I started dating immediately and a year later (30 or so lays later) I’m in a happy relationship. To each their own. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/23 11:29 PM
Ex wife asking for things post divorceGreat advice! And the appeal window was 60 days after March 2023. So ya… she gone. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/09/23 05:22 AM
Ex wife asking for things post divorceSounds like the appeal window was 60 days so that would have been back in May. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/09/23 02:51 AM
Those that finalized and are on the other side. Looking back what was the worst part of the whole process for you?Initially, the biggest thing was losing the life I used to have, along with my partner who I thought was going to walk it with me. Now, I am grateful for the new life I have created and how much happier I am and will continue to be. I think a lot of the initial thoughts were caused by oneitis and truly believing she was the only one for me. After having fun living in the city with 25+ women, I found a much younger, more fit partner and moved back to the burbs. She’s now 3 months pregnant and I c… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/23 06:12 AM
Had sex with a friend last night after a year without any. I hated it. I was not ready. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Most women have less friends then men on average. All of my ex wife’s friends were my friends first. Sounds like you need some new friends my man! | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/08/23 03:13 AM
Had sex with a friend last night after a year without any. I hated it. I was not ready. This is the way. Eventually, your mind will create a neural pathway that reminds you of all of the negative things about your ex and why her not being in your life is a blessing in disguise. Date and have sex when you’re ready, but you will be over her the moment you start seeing the good in people again, especially women. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/08/23 03:09 AM
I’m new here and need advice re: dating while separatedGo for dating right away then, OP. You don’t need to post shit on social media until you’re in a serious relationship for over a year. Even then, who cares. Your life is your own life. Dating right away was the best decision I made. 20 something gals love an established 30 something dude! | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/07/23 04:22 AM
I cannot believe this is my reality.Sounds like you’re making excuses for her behavior. She is who she is. She’s probably looking at your Facebook to see your kid? Who cares. She sucks. Move on. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/06/23 03:40 PM
OLDFacts! | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/06/23 06:43 PM
OLDMeh, disagree with your first sentence. Yes, there are plenty of single mothers out there. But there are also plenty of younger, never married, mature 20 something gals that have WAY less baggage. Just depends what you’re looking for I guess. I veer away from single mothers like the plague. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/06/23 05:59 AM
OLDBro it’s like fishing with dynamite in your 30’s. We’re in our prime and can date up in or date down in age (my personal favorite). Mid 20 something gals love an established, fit, driven older guy. Have your fun! | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/06/23 05:56 AM
STBXW (very likely) having an emotional (maybe sexual?) affair with a coworker during the very early stages of our separationYou gotta find new hobbies and social groups to get your mind off of that shit. Go start lifting weights and working out. Set some short and long term goals. Invest in yourself my man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/06/23 12:33 AM
Dating. Anyone else finding it hard to get back out there?Kind of in line with what others have said, but you gotta go out there and just have fun on these dates. Meeting new people is interesting and exhilarating. I’ve had success going into each date with my goal being to find the good in each individual person. Some it is noticeable immediately, which is good. Others you have to dig to it through introspection, which is also good. If you’re interesting in return (get some hobbies and passions if you don’t already), that’s when attraction starts to b… | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/05/23 04:20 AM

For those that are divorcedMoved from a 5 bed, 5 bath. No kids. Lived in a 2 bed, 2 bath condo in the city renting for 6 months until I bought again. Aka, banged a bunch of mid to late 20 somethings until I found one I liked. Recently bought a place last month, 4 bed, 2 bath with 3/4 acre backyard. Upgraded my backyard for a slightly higher mortgage due to interest rates. Can always refinance and got a steal on this house off market. Came out pretty good! | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/05/23 06:48 PM
How do you guys overcome sheer loneliness?Find a hobby that will allow you to meet new people. Engulf yourself in that community. Get multiple hobbies and do this, assuming your schedule can allow it. Women love guys that stay busy and have hobbies. You want to come off as interesting. Look at it this way - if it doesn’t work out for you two, you’ll be fine because you are doing what you love. You need to embrace that mentality brother. I know it’s tough after having someone so close to you leave after so many years. You’ll be alright. … | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/05/23 04:31 AM
How many of your all’s marriages were savable? But your wife refused to work with you.Go for younger tail. Mid 30’s as well and the mid to upper 20’s gals love an older, established 34 year old who takes care of himself. I settled with a 29 year old and haven’t looked back. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/05/23 04:44 AM
What’s my dating range?This is the best answer. I’d shorten it to 25-35 tho | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/04/23 11:28 AM
Please drop some wisdom for me - early 30s about to be divorced. The ups & downs?Ya I also didn’t have kids, so it makes jumping back in pretty seemless. You’ll know when you’re ready. The advantage of dating early on is you avoid any thoughts that you’ll never find the right woman again. There’s literally millions of options. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/04/23 06:19 PM
Please drop some wisdom for me - early 30s about to be divorced. The ups & downs?I’m 34, recently divorced and separated for about 6 months prior to that. I started dating pretty quickly. You’re in your prime for any 20 something straight out of college. Some are mature enough to tolerate, others not so much. Either way, they’re all fun. I met a down to earth 28 year old gal and we’ve been steady for 3 months. Date when you’re ready, but have some fun out there. There’s plenty of it my man! | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/04/23 04:43 AM
What music did you listen to during your divorce?Any Zach Bryan | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/03/23 03:19 AM
Anyone withdraw their divorce petition after filing?Ya I would say push through with the divorce. I’d echo other comments that there’s no way she has changed in 6 months. Go no contact for a few years and if her desire to reconnect is genuine, then she can reach out after she does the work needed to change. And then MAYBE you can start a new relationship. This relationship is done. Time to leave it in the past and move forward. Best of luck bud. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/23 06:32 PM
Just wanna give a big shout out to every god damned salt of the earth man in here .Hell ya brother | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/03/23 12:29 AM
Officially filed, feeling bittersweet and conflictedSounds messy. Best of luck to you. My only advice is go through mediation if you guys can work amicably through your assets/debts. We agreed to no lawyers early on and thankfully didn’t have to communicate about much since there are no kids. This led to us not interacting and not getting pissed at each other all the time. There were heated texts/emails sent, but if we had to interact more, one of us could have easily gotten emotional and gone nuclear on the other with a lawyer. Thankful that we … | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/03/23 10:04 PM
Officially filed, feeling bittersweet and conflictedWe sold our house and split equity evenly. Bank accounts split. Basically agreed to cover our own individual debts (loans, credit cards, etc). I make more than her, but we both do pretty well and she has too much pride to ask for alimony. No kids. So ya, pretty amicable. I’m one of the lucky ones I guess, from what I read on these divorce subs. A silver lining to this entire shitty process. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/03/23 09:59 PM
Officially filed, feeling bittersweet and conflictedVery true. Only action and true repeatable actions would maybe move me to considering she was being remotely remorseful. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/03/23 09:25 PM
Officially filed, feeling bittersweet and conflictedThanks. I forgot to mention that she did say she is sorry for her decisions and everything that led up to this. Too little, too late honestly. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/03/23 09:20 PM
Mediation paperwork signed, now to file. Next steps…Thank you for the words kind stranger. I am currently in therapy. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/03/23 03:01 AM
How did divorce change you emotionally?Preach | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/03/23 08:23 PM
Where exactly should a man meet a woman?Telling a woman she’s gorgeous right off the bat is just terrible game, especially a cold counter like that. Learn how to have a normal conversation and you’ll be fine. Literally anywhere but the gym basically. And even then, just approach it casually and be cool. Talk about anything within the immediate environment, compliment what she’s wearing in a non creep way, etc. | /r/MensRights | 08/03/23 04:45 AM
Every "single mom" in OLDThis guy has read about Stoicism | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/02/23 09:51 PM

Any success stories after divorce?Which Rational Male book would you recommend? In regards to reading before dating. Theres seems to be multiple versions? | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/23 12:55 PM
Recently divorced 33m 6 months agoSometimes you gotta go through the motions before you even know where you’re at, ready or not. That’s what sucks because there will be casualties. Best to just take as much time as you can. The rule of thumb I keep hearing is 1 year post divorce (not separation) before dating again. Every one’s different, especially if you’ve been through a long term separation first. But I think the 1 year rule has some solid ground. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/01/23 01:46 AM
Recently divorced 33m 6 months agoBy no means do you have to buy pussy wtf are you talking about 😂 | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/23 02:55 PM
Recently divorced 33m 6 months agoLook man you gotta get out of that mentality that you need someone to talk to and have in your life. I get it. I’m going through that same shit where there feels like a void that I need to fill. I’ve tried filling it with multiple women and all I’ve done a hurt them because I’m not ready. If you feel like you need that companionship, you’re not ready. You’re making the right call not dating for a bit. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/23 02:54 PM
Why the hell im I still thinking about herI’m in the same boat. It’s always in the morning. Been with multiple women during the separation and seeing someone that checks all of my boxes currently. Hard to let go of that past life and person. I just keep trying to remind myself that this person was someone I created in my head and does not exist anymore. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/23 02:47 PM

| -3 | STBXW claims I ruined her life, career and any chance of us being friendsYa no kids thank god. It was a short marriage at 2 years, 7 year relationship in total. Hard to move forward when I just want my old life back. Her and my dogs were my whole purpose. I just feel empty now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/22 05:33 PM |
