I definitely think self-assuredness and modesty go hand-in-hand. A quiet confidence is genuinely one of the most attractive things a man can have.

There’s no greater gift to women on OLD than a man who tells on himself. Wish all LVM were like this...

He doesn’t want someone who’s a happy medium of good self-image, because those people wouldn’t bend over backwards for him trying to fill an insecure void with his external validation. He knows that if an individual is complete, there’s nothing attractive enough about him that’ll actually compel them to stay with him.

You’re absolutely right; you can never expect behavior to be normalized if it’s constantly glorified. I remember my male psychology professor mentioning that the expectation for decent behavior is so low for men that bare minimum acts of kindness performed by them will always be socially pedastalized and rewarded, from baking to domestic labor to even simply being seen holding a baby. Whereas those things are completely expected of women so no one really bats an eye when she exhibits those quali…

This is why the popularization of radical feminism and its principles is so important. Before FDS I assumed that liberal feminism was the apex of feminist thought and genuinely the only option I had, and I went through life with such a skewed perception of what female liberty truly is as a result.

I second this with the bond between me and my late Quaker parrot! I think it’s especially beautiful because they naturally form a lifelong attachment to their one favorite person, like the true epitome of a soulmate bond.

Yes, but that’s because they’re unaware that biological arguments always go both ways, and even favors the woman since sexual selection is naturally the female’s right and privilege cross-species. The best way to counter a “biological argument” that favors a male is to acknowledge the fact that we have our own set of reasons as to why our behavior is biologically and evolutionary advantageous to us.

Unfortunately this isn’t uncommon; I’ve had a few porn accounts/sex work scammers PM me too out of nowhere. They’re really pervasive here because they know Reddit’s saturated with an unusually high concentration of lonely men who will engage with sex accounts out of desperation.

I really do think he’ll grow up to be a great HVM! I regularly hear him tell his sister how proud he is of her, he’ll happily help with painting her nails if she asks, and whenever I visit he makes sure to ask me how my college classes are going, my future career goals, and my hobbies without any prompting! It’s so beautiful to see.

The language we use when talking about women is usually so subtle, but so damn important!! You can gauge so much about a man’s overall character just by the way he talks about women.

I think the issue here is not so much about him being less enthusiastic, but more about him being actively dismissive of your genuine excitement and inspiration. Even if I’m not as passionate about a certain topic as a loved one, if I know it inspires them and brings them genuine fulfillment and happiness, I’m so happy to support it! His insistence at trying to stifle your happiness in such a meaningful moment wasn’t cool :/

My niece (10) and nephew (8) were watching Kamala’s speech and when it came to part where she addressed “all the little girls out there,” my nephew turned to his sister and tapped on her shoulder and with the most enthusiastic smile said “she’s talking about you!” It was such a cute moment to witness.

If you ever feel like a person in your life only seems to engage with you when it’s convenient for them and then “puts you back on the shelf” once they’ve gotten their boredom/ego fix, it’s time to drop them. They’re doing the bare minimum to keep you in their orbit without actually giving you the mutual respect/effort you deserve.

Also, I don’t really think you deserved to be downvoted tbh. Your comment is indicative of the fact that women are so amazing that even in the midst of being objectified and degraded by men on the daily, we still strive to adhere to a standard of fairness and empathy. It’s incredible. Just wish men were capable of doing even close to the same.

I understand where you’re getting at, but there’s a world of difference between the way men truly objectify women in their minds vs the way a woman appreciates the aesthetics of a man’s physique every once in awhile. We don’t have the capacity to dehumanize men in the same way men do with women.

If life is too short, why would I willingly put myself on a trajectory to waste even more of my time? Life is too short to text a man first.

This was an amazing body language/facial expression analysis! Out of curiosity, was there any literature or courses you took in particular that helped fine-tune your body language analysis skills to get to this level, or is this more along the lines of things you’ve noticed and picked up on over time?

You definitely should be creeped out; a woman he started seeing before the show recently revealed that he accidentally sent her an explicit video of himself jerking off to another woman. This all happened right after he told her how much he wanted to get engaged and start a family together. 🤢 Yup, a complete class act.

Right under the post/right above the AutoModerator comment, there should be a feature called "best comments." If you click on that, it'll let you sort all comments by Best, Newest, Controversial, etc. Also when scrolling through the subreddit itself, there should be a similar feature that says "Hot Posts" and if you click that, it'll let you sort all posts on the subreddit by the Hot, Newest, Top (most upvoted within a given time), and Controversial.

https://www.labroots.com/trending/genetics-and-genomics/17865/human-eggs-choose-sperm-prefer Chemical signals that are released by human eggs can attract sperm, and new work has shown that eggs also use these molecules to 'select' the sperm they want. The egg didn't always pick the sperm of a woman's partner; sperm from another man was sometimes more attractive to the egg than that of their partner. Since sperm function only to fertilize eggs, Fitzpacktrick thinks that the choice is entirely up …

I’m fuming at this. Normally with these types of posts I just shake my head, but hoards of men convincing an actual abuse victim that their fetishes take priority over her mental well-being? For fucks sake. Why is beating your girlfriend considered all across the board as a standard act of violence, but as long as it gets a man hard it’s suddenly okay and immune to all criticism?

This was beautifully put. It’s such a heartbreaking thing knowing that men are happy to tell an actual abuse victim that their fetishes take automatic priority over her mental well-being.

Your first sentence reminded me of the quote “Women are the gatekeepers of sex, and men are the gatekeepers of relationships.” This is so important to remember because it hasn’t changed since the dawn of time. A man will comfortably withhold a relationship/commitment from a woman if he knows he can get a steady stream of sex from her no-string attached. This is why it’s SO important to withhold sex until a man has proven to you that he will give you a secure, long-term relationship with clearly …

This is a exactly what a man who has your best interests at heart sounds like. He narrated the LVM mentality perfectly. Also, hearing him say “don’t even allow a man to kiss you until he takes you on 10 proper, real dates” as opposed to the “date 3= sex” rule that LVM try to push really hit me... These men KNOW that physical intimacy is a sacrifice on your end that they need to work for to deserve.

I’m also in my early 20’s and use it as my preferred way of communicating with my friends (aside from calling). I’d steer clear of it during the vetting stage of dating though, and if a guy in their mid-20’s or older is trying to push for it I’d take it as a red flag since it’s probably just their vehicle for nude exchange.

“But... He’s my TWIN FLAME!!” I’ve seen the words “soulmate” and “twin flame” being thrown around so often that they’ve lost meaning to me tbh. The concept of designating any single man on this earth as your one and only soulmate isn’t advantageous or healthy for you
