Wait, where is "here"? I've never seen this pin and I am a casual pin collector.

Sadly I did not have a lawyer and she did, so while I have some holidays and such, I don't have proper joint custody. And it's further complicated by she's not once followed the agreement (despite the cops she called on me explaining to her that I was legally following the divorce when I had my daughter with me during the week I had her instead of dropping her back off each night with her mother.)

When anyone offers a solution and says they "don't want to screw you over" that is an immeidate signal that they are screwing you over. That's not just a divorce thing, that's a manipulation tactic.

This is exactly what my exwife did. She said she wanted to go back to her mom's place to think for the summer. Two months later when I called to ask when she was bringing my daughter home she said she wanted a divorce, then had the audacity to be shocked when I sent her divorce papers.

Any links to those statistics?

Exwife and I went to three different marriage counselors, only one addressed it even though I brought her violence up to all three.

You figured it out a decade sooner than I did, and while initially the sentiment is overwhelmingly depressing once you accept it you realize the freedom of only having yourself to account for.

You have stats for the rate of rapes proven true? I'm always on the lookout for hard data.

Well..... before I vote in this poll, what's your definition of feminist? I was raised traditional Midwest mentality and now live in the South where you're expected to treat women with extra respect. I personally give women the same respect I give men - and both genders are required to earn it first. I'd vote that I've never been a feminist but I know my upbringing would be considered by many in this sub to be feminist.

They claim that female birth control is "safe" and you can stop without complications... and then bury the data on miscarriages and infertility from it. So yeah, the male version is totally safe, go for it.

At the height of its popularity, I had dozens of nerd friends push BBT on me as a "nerd show". On a dare, I binge watched the complete series (4 seasons at that time). Afterwards so many asked if I liked it, only to be disappointed when I told them "it's a show about sex disguised as a show about nerds/science." Best part? None of them could prove me wrong, even if they disliked my statement.

That angle was obvious from the trailer where they took time to say she's better than he.

I'm sorry your childhood was brutal. What happened to you was wrong, no excuse. As for the part about being blamed while also the victim, yes I too am enduring that treatment. Thankfully my experience was far less horrific, but you and I are not alone in this.

I'm wanting an opposite list - a spreadsheet of movies/shows which portray men favorably. Anyone can start a movie and notice misandry halfway through, I want a source I can check to find a good movie for movie night.

Was playing minecraft last night with the bros and we got on the conversation of therapy and all five of us stated that it's difficult to ensure we could find a therapist that wouldn't twist us instead of help us. The only one of us that had gone to extended therapy was the one whose parents had mandated it during their teen years. Bit of a sobering conversation.

Don't really want to delve into it further, but just putting this out here so others know they're not the only ones - I left a career because of a manager racist to whites. Company is still one of the best to work for, but that single manager drove an entire store to leave because his racism

I've seen this everywhere, do you have a study or (reliable) source for this? Most of my family are the "90% of statistics are made up on the spot" folks so it helps to have concrete data.

I was always told how to treat my two sisters, they weren't told how to treat me. My mother threatened me if I were to ever abuse my wife, has never said a word to me about the abuse I did receive from my exwife.

You're both right to an extent. I don't let other people's suspicions keep me from doing what I love to do, but I also can't force anyone to stop being misandrist. I've worked to raise awareness of misandry amongst my friends and family to do my part to steer society's future but I also recognize my part won't have a significant impact alone.

The dress code was clearly sexist when I worked for the Orange Hardware Store. Men managers were required pants and dress shirts while women managers were required casual wear instead.

Being automatically trusted around children is one that personally irritates me. I'm a better caregiver to my daughter than my exwife (corroborated by many friends and family). I've taught kindergarten in school and now work at a daycare, both places I am praised for being able to handle situations with better understanding than my female colleagues. I love working with children but every moment I have someone (parents, coworkers) watching me with suspicion simply because I'm male.

We are moving as societies towards protection for only one side in "free speech". In the case of gender, feminists are given free reign while anthropists are shut down. Most people, both genders, are not self aware, so to answer your question no. They don't even comprehend how their rhetoric is sexist and hateful.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'll presume there's more to your interpretation of my statement beyond you being an internet troll, would you care to walk the rest of us through your logic so we can understand as well?

I wore almost a dozen hats during my time at the Orange Store and at each level I was at, I was always expected to treat the customers with enthusiasm and respect. Regardless of how I felt that day and even when they were clearly lying/trash/etc. Part of being an adult is learning how to control your own emotions and part of working in customer facing positions is being agreeable. Shouldn't matter whether you're male or female.

There's a lot to unwrap in just a small bit here. Gonna organize it for my own clarity. Wrong science - men don't have more psychological affinity towards war. They were chosen for war purely on their physical capabilities. You want a 6ft brute holding the shieldwall beside you, not a 4ft stick. Since we've evolved beyond physical strength to technological strength (man or woman can push drone button) this physical requirement no longer applies. Wrong solution - instead of deciding whether to dr…

You've stated multiple times in your original post and in replies that you love her, but that love can not last in this environment which she is generating. It may seem difficult now, but once you have left her you'll come to realize that you can love someone else, someone capable of loving you back. You already knew what you need to do, and you've gotten full confirmation from all of us here on doing it. Time to take the action.

I have two younger sisters and only recently came to terms with my parents loving them more than myself. Parents bought books on girls growing up, puberty, psychology, etc while as an adult I bought myself books on male psychology to teach myself about myself. Never hit a woman, but if a woman hits you you take it like a man. You're a man, you carry the luggage for the family vacation. Why did you annoy your sisters, you're grounded. We can only afford a cheap college for you, but we can afford …

I lived for a year in Huntsville, AL, I am perfectly aware of the condition of that miserable state. Doesn't excuse the blanket statement or blame game. We can't pursue change for the betterment if we're stuck pointing fingers. Do better.

Beg to differ on several counts. I am a Christian and I do care about body autonomy (so once again the not all ____ discussion). Also there are several religions that promote infant circumcision, so blame for this idiocy isn't solely on the one religion.
