Oh it got nowhere fast lol. The person could write paragraphs of word salad, but when I asked for proof that other cultures had multiple genders, they resorted to name calling…

They will just come back with “Men created capital to oppress women and minorities, genders don’t exist” I had an argument with someone who tried to tell me that men and women came into existence when the colonizers came to America to set up their patriarchy. Apparently gender rolls are an American thing….

Remember, laughing is a WEAPON OF THE ALT-RIGHT! But seriously, it’s sad when one rotten apple ruins the batch. Nothing wrong with what she wants but all it takes is flirting with the wrong woman and boom, you’re a stalker.

I totally agree. I know Fox News has covered a few false rape stories that I appreciate seeing, I’m just not fond of the religious tones of some of the things they have over there. I just hope the pendulum stays in the centre more so then it’s been..

You do realize that you’re talking about separate things right? The people that hate men for being men arnt going to change their tune. Having men like Andrew is going to be more of a detriment then anything for the people who have no idea what’s going on. There’s more then one way to enact change and fighting fire with fire is sometimes not the best way. Dude, throwing out simp isn’t going to get me to change my ideals. What you should do is cut that crap out when people disagree, neither one o…

That makes more sense and yet it saddens me deeply to see… I was never fond of the national post… it’s kind of like Canada’s version of Fox News. While there’s nothing really wrong with that, you need to hear both sides, there had been a few articles from them that turned me away. I agree! As they say, the pendulum is starting to shift the other way, so news outlets like buzzfeed and Washington post is struggling more due to lack of support.
/r/MensRights11/08/22 05:56 PM

I… you know two wrongs don’t make a right, right? If someone does something shitty, then they should be criticized for it. If Andrew is doing the same shitty things as those women, then he is no different from them.

Yeah, by that standard then no, not all men deserve that, but like I said, he’s not an average guy who gets villianized for his gender. Again, that guy is a god damned rich pick up artist who sells his tips for thousands.

It sounds like you’re defending Andrew Tate, maybe that’s why?

This had more variety then the cartoon, which was pretty much ‘state of the house’

I love how it’s still a woman’s hand holding the post it note.
/r/MensRights10/08/22 11:37 PM

Oh I agree, but he’s not exactly a good representation of your average man, let alone a good representation of MRA. He’s a boxing version of that pickup artist Mystery.

Hopefully! But I get the feeling that money has more to do with it lol

The fact that it came from the Washington post surprises me most of all!
/r/MensRights10/08/22 05:50 PM

Well, he’s kind of a prick! He’s an embodiment of all that toxic masculinity you hear about. Not exactly what MRA needs

I would feel for the poor guy, but it was an arranged marriage, so I empathize for both sides…

I can remember when I was younger just being bombarded with the whole ‘men cheat more then women because they want sex more’ and how ‘women don’t need sex’ bullshit. I think it’s same to say that whatever the articles are about, it’s mostly bull crap lol
/r/MensRights02/08/22 09:33 PM

Oh I see! Ok, I admit I was wrong! It’s just a convincing thing tho. So the original meaning was an effeminate boy? That’s weird…

Not going to lie, but a reference is not really a reliable origin for a word. Sure, someone said the word pussy in the 1500 and 1800, but that’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about when it became a slur. I know pussy willows are a kind of plant and that pussy was probably some sort of term of endearment maybe, but when it changed is what I’m curious about.
/r/MensRights25/07/22 09:15 PM

How are the bathrooms laid out? Like is the men’s bathroom the kind with stalls or is it just a one person at a time crapper?

The myth of pussy not meaning vagina? The myth of pusillanimous meaning cowardly? I really don’t get what you’re trying to say here.
/r/MensRights22/07/22 06:23 PM

Yeah, I can relate. I’m glad you got out of there, there’s just too much hypocrisy to deal with on that side.
/r/MensRights22/07/22 06:17 PM
1

Yeah, but that’s just how it goes! I’m curious on when pussy began to be slang for vagina. It seems pretty recent I think?
/r/MensRights21/07/22 04:08 PM

I get what you mean but it definitely is satire lol. They caved after the whole apu deal but I don’t think they went any further then that.
/r/MensRights19/07/22 11:55 PM

I don’t think so! I’m no word biometrist but I think it’s just the adjective form of wuss maybe?
/r/MensRights13/07/22 01:34 PM

HAHAHAHAHA! No, I learnt it, like all things on the internet, from a meme!
/r/MensRights13/07/22 01:29 PM

Fun fact, calling someone a pussy literally has nothing to do with a pussy. It’s a shortened form of pusillanimous, which means cowardly.

As did I, online dating is a crap shute, isn’t it? Anywho, as someone who went on probably the same dating sites with no wife and a bagful of negative experiences, I can tell you that it’s no different. And women do the same, I mean come on. Cheating and all that crap isn’t gender exclusive.
/r/MensRights09/07/22 03:11 AM
5

I don’t think that’s what men are after. As a man, I can tell you that’s not a priority for me. And it can really depend. If there’s more guys on a dating app then women, wouldn’t it make sense that the 38 yo female would have an easier time? Unless she’s very selective there’s plenty of guys to talk to
/r/MensRights09/07/22 01:51 AM
1

Ahh same here. So I’m going to throw out you’re from Manitoba, right? I was born in Winnipeg myself lol
/r/MensRights05/07/22 05:55 PM
1

Yeah, I’ve heard about some of those types of conditions. I’m sorry you had to deal with that sort of thing but hopefully you got out of there in one piece! Maybe I got the wrong idea but thats kind of why I don’t like the idea of reparations. It seems like none of it goes to the community or Rez itself. Im sure there are some that do, but I’ve heard more depressing stories about reserves then not
/r/MensRights01/07/22 07:17 PM

Ahh yes. The Disney corporation, those foul bastards
/r/MensRights30/06/22 11:43 PM

Yeah I do not doubt that! I’ve never been to a reservation, what was it like?
/r/MensRights30/06/22 06:31 PM

Yeah, I’m Canadian as well and I can see what he means. Winnipeg can be pretty bad when it comes to this specific thing I think
/r/MensRights30/06/22 05:59 PM

Just a question, where are you from?
/r/MensRights29/06/22 11:47 PM

/r/MensRights29/06/22 05:43 PM

Height preference, dick size, appearance. I mean take your pick of the litter lol. People talk, that’s what they do, especially with friends and people judge heavily on appearance. What I mean is that it’s definitely not one sided as much as it could appear that way. Men will get mad at women who make superficial choices, just as women would get mad at men for the same reason.
/r/MensRights27/06/22 11:52 PM
1

I mean, if you want but it will be kind of a strange thing to ask lol
/r/MensRights27/06/22 09:47 PM
4

Of course women can, and they do. Everyone has preferences, both men and women, but the issue, in my opinion is how open some people are to shitting on those that don’t match them.
/r/MensRights27/06/22 09:38 PM
3

The issue I see with option A is there are already so many orphans out there, and the older they get, the less chance there is for adoption and the abuse they could endure in foster care.
/r/MensRights27/06/22 07:01 PM
2

So why post angry comments like this when MRA had nothing to do with the decision? When most men in general don’t care one way or another?
/r/MensRights25/06/22 08:31 PM
2

I’m sorry you went through all of this. Some people are just sensitive pricks lol. Showing kindness and lending an ear are always pluses. I’ve lost fondness of the term ‘ally’, it turned into one of those woke buzzwords that just bother me. Not criticizing you OP, just a mini rant lol

Headline! ‘Men Continue to Exist; Women Most Affected’
/r/MensRights24/06/22 11:34 PM
2

I wouldn’t say ‘a vast majority’ just because there are those that are feminist, but don’t get into the awful crap that the more extreme ones do. Like they agree with some of the basic ideas that people have told them and don’t really look any further.
/r/MensRights24/06/22 11:25 PM

I’m curious to see what the discussions are like. Maybe a few idiots used an offensive name for quirky factors and they don’t actually believe it?
/r/MensRights24/06/22 09:21 PM
2

I would agree if a right was getting taken away. It’s going back to the individual states to decide, not going away forever. The left leaning states will have abortion clinics open while the right may have more stipulations or none at all.
/r/MensRights24/06/22 09:15 PM
1

Yeah, that’s true, but I think the exceptional ones are a bit more common then what people think. In my own opinion of course!
/r/MensRights23/06/22 05:56 PM

I can see those numbers, buuuut… what group of people did the testing? It might sound stupid since it’s on average, but I mean there’s a difference in strength between a carpenter who does physical labour for a living, and someone who works at a desk and does nothing. With my last post, I guess I was just getting at that underestimating someone based on size and strength is not a good thing lol.
/r/MensRights23/06/22 05:53 PM

Lol there you go! Just get one of those grip strengtheners and you can get those jars open like noones business!

I’ve seen a woman beat a man in an arm wrestle. I’ve seen my 6 ft friend get carried around by his 5ft girlfriend. I’m not going to lie, there’s a difference but it’s not by much. Men tend to go to the gym and do more physically intensive jobs or activities then women.
/r/MensRights23/06/22 02:01 AM

I think there’s an issue with the headline. It should read: ‘Zelensky forbade men from leaving Ukraine. Now those men are being tortured and forcibly deported to Russia. Women affected the most’.
/r/MensRights17/06/22 06:53 PM
2

Very nice response!
/r/MensRights17/06/22 06:00 PM

Ooof, well hopefully you get better soon! Yeah, dating someone you’re not attracted to does not work for some. I know it’s like that for me.

I’m in the same boat but with a job and I still can’t bring myself to try the dating scene again.

The ideals people hold that form their beliefs about certain things. I’m going to assume you’re a feminist, right? Can feminism contribute to toxic masculinity or the patriarchy? Or are they at odds?
/r/MensRights15/06/22 07:17 PM
7

I think what gets most people is the fact that ‘toxic masculinity’ and ‘patriarchy’ are very nebulous terms. Anyone can use them to ‘explain’ anything that goes against their ideals.
/r/MensRights15/06/22 06:02 PM

Ehhh. Honestly I don’t even remember why this came up in the first place. Either way, good discussion!
/r/MensRights14/06/22 09:40 PM

Yeah, but even then, I’m sure there’s only so much they can do against all those dandies. I agree! Not heroes but not barbarians either!
/r/MensRights14/06/22 03:34 PM

Mmm… yeah, kind of! We all do that from time to time to fill in the gaps, but I’m also not going to ignore the facts either. Facts are facts after all. He may of, but how many people were on the boat? Men compared to women and children? He definitely couldn’t keep a crowd that large under control when the ship is literally in half and sinking. Even if he had a gun and shot men as they ran to the life boats, he only has so much ammo and reloading guns way back when wasn’t as easy as today. I’m ju…

But he openly admits that it was his favorite lake to go to and the house was sick. He was very happy to have that surprise! Some people let their pride get in the way of doing the more empathetic thing, unfortunately. Yeah, she should of tried harder and, in my opinion, so should of the bf but it happens. If the bf said that he didn’t want to go, but was guilt tripped then she spent the entire time belittling him then I would definitely agree with you but with how the bf wrote the post, I’m a b…

What the hell, did you just summon someone who blocked you or are they stalking?? I kind of see what they mean in a weird way. I think it’s like a POV thing, like the hijackers had it in their mind that they’re doing good and they’re stunning and brave for doing so. Don’t get me wrong, it was abhorrent what happened but most people believe they’re doing some kind of good even if others oppose.
/r/MensRights12/06/22 04:29 AM

Lol Jeeze, we’re completely on the opposite of each other here. Well there’s always the chance for either based on how we interpret what was said! I get what your saying but I just find it odd that someone growing out of love with someone will spend time and money on a birthday when they can just say ‘eh, fuck it’ and toss a gift card their way
/r/MensRights12/06/22 04:20 AM
1

I would imagine if the female can lead then yeah, that would be the case, I guess! It depends on the kind of animal. Kind of? I mean yeah, empathy and kindness can go a ways, but, as cruel as it sounds, if you want to make it to the top, you have to be willing to do some pretty heinous stuff to get there. The kind of people I’m thinking of are like the tactics hitler used to gain power, but maybe we’re not thinking of the same thing? Yeah, PUA is pretty crap to a point. Confidence is an attracti…
/r/MensRights12/06/22 04:16 AM

Honestly, I agree for the most part with your first comment. Things definitely could of been handled better if they just talked about it. Being drunk is definitely not an excuse tho. And what I said is an interpretation. I get what she meant too, that he was kind and willing to put time into a relationship that didn’t involve abuse. It just made it seem that that’s all there was, just a settle until something better came along. I do think she found more qualities in him that to like the more she…
/r/MensRights11/06/22 04:51 PM

That may be the case. It’s hard to question the dead but I find it unlikely that most men took a George castanza approach to escaping danger. I don’t doubt that there are some, but definitely not all.
/r/MensRights11/06/22 04:37 PM

But still, if she was that pompous, why even have a safe option? Sure he may not ‘cheat or leave her’ but I’m sure during those two years she found other things to like and love about him. I know what you mean but there are always two sides of the story and the truth usually lies in the middle. There’s always the chance that she thought all of that about him, but that’s far too much effort put in for someone you view as inferior.
/r/MensRights11/06/22 04:33 PM

Yeah, it’s amazing what kind of things people will justify to say what they want.
/r/MensRights11/06/22 03:02 AM

While I do think she could of done more, she tried to get a hold of him on Saturday and possibly Sunday too and I do think that’s better then nothing. I also don’t go on AITA all too much, but I’m guessing it can get rather toxic, huh?
/r/MensRights11/06/22 03:00 AM
5

Kinda.. usually alpha is a term used to the leader of pack animals like wolves. Since beta is next in the Greek alphabet, some people decided to use it as an insult. Yeah, I agree that she put quite a bit of time into the party so she loves him, but I do think there is a gender double standard here. I mean, if you had a boyfriend that said the stuff the OPs girlfriend said, I would imagine telling the story to people would get a more ‘abusive’ and ‘manipulative’ scene from it, I think.
/r/MensRights11/06/22 01:57 AM
15

I interpret what she said as a female version of a guy saying ‘you were the easiest one to pick up at the bar’ or something akin to it.
/r/MensRights11/06/22 01:49 AM
11

You’re forgetting the ‘HE ISNT ENTITLED TO YOUR PRESENCE!’ Thing people whip out when need be lol
/r/MensRights11/06/22 01:47 AM
-8

She could of said that and the OP missed out on it. Don’t forget she put, I imagine, quite a bit of time into planning the birthday and went so far as to rent things for him. I would imagine if she didn’t respect him then there’s no way she would of spent any time or money. That being said yeah, what she said would of definitely stung lol
/r/MensRights11/06/22 01:45 AM
1

That makes sense to me! Not to mention it’s hard to determine how people acted in a situation that already happened, especially way back when. Even if it could determine the social norm, there’s so many variables that can’t be placed on a graph.
/r/MensRights09/06/22 03:33 PM
1

Ok, that’s fair, but I still cast doubt that it was the titanic that started with it. While it was the largest at the time, there were still a few transport ships before it that, I’m sure had something similar as a contingency plan just in case. You know, keep the order so people don’t freak out more and make things worse
/r/MensRights09/06/22 03:23 PM
6

Yeah, I can agree. I look at askfemenists from time to time and… it can bum me out just reading the headers of the posts.
/r/MensRights09/06/22 12:06 AM
4

The question I have is what made the titanic different? It took a long time for the ship to sink, so why not every man for themselves? While the graph does apparently say that men have a higher survival rate then women and children (both genders or just the girls?) Between the 3, they’re close to similar. What’s missing is the amount of people on board, which I can assume it would be male heavy.
/r/MensRights09/06/22 12:04 AM
10

Society requires both men and women tho. We’re all a part of this society so does that mean you’re allowing the patriarchy and toxic masculinity to exist? I would imagine not!
/r/MensRights08/06/22 11:53 PM
2

I’m sorry you went through all of that. Manipulative exes are awful to deal with, although mine wasn’t as bad compared. I imagine most of the comments you get are going to be positive!
/r/MensRights31/05/22 11:56 PM
2

Just a question, how do the people come off on here. As far as I’ve seen there’s lots of empathy in this sub.
/r/MensRights31/05/22 11:46 PM
5

More like your remark was a bit phallus! Haha but yeah, emotional damage is god damn awful…
/r/MensRights24/05/22 09:14 PM
1

Oh most definitely! You don’t get anywhere in an echo chamber like that.. are there any rules for this sub?
/r/MensRights20/05/22 09:13 PM
1

Yeah, the rules they have up there are bizarrely long, I stopped reading halfway through trying to look for their stance on Ukraine drafting stuff…
/r/MensRights20/05/22 05:40 PM
1

Haha as if they’re not already. I mean how many are still quoting the old ‘.66 cents to the dollar’?
/r/MensRights20/05/22 05:38 PM
2

Because the spooky patriarchy has its foot held down on them, duh! Big patri has his hands in many sinister soups!
/r/MensRights19/05/22 11:16 PM
5

I feel the same way. I’ve been checking both mensrights and askfemenists and I have more in common here then there. Maybe I’m a bit bias because of it but it feels more negative over on askfemenists then here. Just the non stop bashing and blaming gets to me after awhile
/r/MensRights19/05/22 01:36 AM
2

With what you said, that’s correct! I do have some things I disagree with tho lol.. Women arnt quite having their bodily autonomy taken away. Abortion is a procedure and while it is good to have, it’s not necessary to have it. Now if they were being forced to wear a chastity belt then yeah, I would agree. Trans and non binary.. society sees them in a good light, seeing as people like Ezra Miller can flaunt around Hawaii choke slamming woman all day long with not a peep from Warner bros while Joh…
/r/MensRights11/05/22 01:59 AM

That’s my thought as well… I’m hoping it’s not because waiting to see for all the info is a good trait to have, but still.
/r/MensRights29/04/22 09:16 PM
1

But the issue is the silence, I would imagine. I mean they need to talk about it on the forms since it’s unacceptable on both sides and it’s best to take a stance against it. I would definitely say Washington post is fairly left leaning! Honestly go read her article, it’s disgusting especially in contrast to all the recordings of her contrast it so hard..
/r/MensRights28/04/22 09:18 PM
1

Why not talk about it? I mean what she’s done is disgusting, and she’s using feminism as a platform. That’s not the best message to send lol. The straw that broke Johnny depps career was amber heards article in 2018 that accused him of DV. He lost gigs over an article and she got to play in aqua man
/r/MensRights28/04/22 06:58 PM
6

I did find a few posts, but the comments I saw were along the lines of ‘we should wait for more info’, and ‘who cares, they’re both toxic’. It kind of pissed me off to see!

Sidney Watson is a great person to watch!

Mainstream insults change from time to time. Before it was transphobic, then racist, then sexist, homophobic, nazi, islamophobic. Same insult, new coat of paint. As to why? Probably something along the lines of diverting attention from their own closets and the spooky skeletons within!
/r/MensRights24/04/22 10:57 PM
7

Exactly! Looking past the ideals and opinions, they’re still human. Treating them less then that is just going to reinforce their ideals out of defence.
/r/MensRights24/04/22 10:25 PM

No, he’s right! You should never ask a woman if ‘they’re finished with that’ he should observe from a distance as to not disrupt them

I heard a saying recently that adds to this.. ‘women fall in love faster, but men fall in love deeper’
