Yes get them talking about themselves. Using the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) method is always something to keep in mind. It’s really as easy or as complicated as you make it. Things can and probably will get more complicated if you’re looking for a LTR but again it doesn’t have to. Really it’s as simple as “What are your hobbies?” “What kind of things are you into?” “What are you looking for in this/a relationship?” “What are you’re dreams?” “Do you have or like pets?” “What do you look for in …

As someone else pointed out changing your mindset about the whole ordeal would be a good start and not referring to women as bitches is another thing to consider; being respectful can get you far by itself. Since you are getting so much positive response I would assume you are at the very least mildly attractive probably 7+, which helps significantly. People generally love to talk about themselves and you getting them to talk about themselves will show them that you are interested in them and th…

This is an awesome comment. We need more of this. Openness and honesty. It seems overall most beneficial to everyone involved.

Agreed. My jumping off the bridge analogy was more to point out the faulty reasoning behind everyone is doing it therefore I should do it too and it being the correct thing to do

I did. And I completely understand where you’re coming from I just don’t completely agree with all of it. Ultimately depends on your perception, the situation, and the person. Still I pride myself at being honest, even when it means negative consequences. If what you do is/has worked then more power to you and don’t let anyone tell you that you’re wrong; it’s your life to live. I personally try my hardest to not sacrifice honesty for anything; I’m human like anyone else but honesty, especially i…

This feels dishonest and a potentially great way to get yourself into big trouble.

Does it have to be game though? This sounds more like a practical approach to the insanity we have created around partnering and less of the "game" I think other people, myself included, are talking about.

I can't help but agree with everything you said. Just to add a little to your Bottom line: what kind of insanity have we driven each other to to think we need to play games when seeking short or long term partnership. I would personally prefer being honest about things and having someone else be honest with me so there isn't the stress and anxiety of guessing what the hell you're supposed to do to win the game...

Like I said "playing the game", talking to/persuing multiple prospects, is/can be important to achieving your goal of finding a partner but I would make the argument just because everyone else is doing this doesn't equate to this being the most effective or best way to go about finding a LTR. Just my opinion. This can be an effective tactic for many people, and may even be the norm, but for me I would feel dishonest doing this consistently at least in finding a LTR. Using the same tactic that te…

I see your point but this begs the question if everyone is jumping off the bridge should you do the same? It's important to play the game but not at the expense of you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
