It's also very anachronistic and historically inaccurate.

One is ostracized and the other is supported, but either way, both are major obstacles to equality.

For that matter, I agree. Even as someone heavily leaning to the left, I am not afraid to criticize the identity politics and feminism that strayed Marxism and "Marxists" from actual economic issues. Feminism is as much of a curse to the left as tradcons are to the right.

Marxism isn't compatible with corporate globalism by any means. Marxism is anti-capitalist.

As a leftist, I can agree on this matter. Most leftists are hypocritical or blind to their own arrogance.

To be a conservative is to uphold male gender roles that serve to protect women and discriminate against men. To be a feminist is to uplift women from female gender roles while maintaining the gender roles of men. Tradcons are literally antithetical to the very notion of men's rights, whether they themselves know it or not.

If your nation is worth fighting for, conscription is not required to mobilize men to volunteer for its survival. The fleeing of many men just shows how unworthy Ukraine is of being defended by them, and plenty of Russian men aren't going to obey their dictator in fighting either. Obligatory conscription (Men being reminded of their moral obligation to fight) is far more moral than compulsory conscription (Men being forced to fight without their own consent).

Socialism is an economic ideology through and through. It's not a societal one. Anyone can be a socialist, feminist or MRA. It's not mutually exclusive.

You are a disgusting misogynist that harms the already-tarnished name of MRAs. If the feminists find this post out and it goes viral, don't you think they'll just scream that ‘all MRAs are like this and that it proves all men are dangerous’ or some bs? Honestly, combatting misandry with misogyny will not help, considering Western society is already on the side of the feminists, this'll just make us even more shunned and the issues we talk about being ignored.

Fighting fire with fire ain't going to help, that's just handing feminists more fuel. Treating women as equals will convince the more open-minded feminists to our side and help them see how bigoted their movement is. If we treat them like they treat us, nothing's going to change.

The left and the right are filled with misandrists, you cannot simply handwave the misandry of tradcons while being mad at the progressive left for the same thing. Men's rights are not an economic issue where there's a clear divide between the parties, it is a social issue which all ignore.

This mentality is just like left-wing economic accelerationism of capitalist systems, but with feminism rather than capitalism, and the main unrecognized victims of the system being men than proletaires that will eventually become radicalized due to the oppression that an acceleration of such systems beings. Not criticism, just commentary on how it's kinda similar.

I dislike Israel (less than Palestine), but Israel has generally attempted to minimize civilian casualties if they could. Roof-knocking, slow controlled manner in their ground invasion, etc. Generally, Hamas has used Gazans as human shields, storing weapons depots in civilian buildings, setting barriers to keep Gazans from fleeing to the south of the strip, etc. Though, their treatment of Palestinians in their occupation of the West Bank is deplorable though, as well as the illegal settlements i…

I'm literally a Filipino, an Austronesian by blood and by culture, I know more of my culture than you do. A lot of emphasis is placed on women in Austronesian societies, women are the leaders of the household while men are the providers, mothers make the decisions for the family as a whole and are regarded as more important, women have more protections in Filipino law as well as more programs given, etc etc.
/r/MensRights16/11/23 04:32 AM

Matriarchal societies did exist and do exist. As a Filipino man, I live in one right now as traditionally Austronesian societies like pre-colonial Filipino societies were oriented around women being the leader and manager of the family unit.

They are leftist not liberal. Liberalism is different from leftism in that liberalism is a globalist pro-capitalist ideology, and leftism is a spectrum of a myriad of competing radical and moderate ideas (Most left-wing ideologies focus on economic issues such as labor unions, worker's rights, democratic workplaces, regulated economies, welfare and social programs, etc) Leftists swing to the totalitarian right when there stupid ideas don't work and people don't obey. Leftism can either be democr…

That is because the traditional gender roles espoused by the right harm men as much as feminist propaganda exclaimed by the left. Men's rights should not be associated with any political ideology or pinpointed on a compass, since every single one hates us to some degree.

fuck off. Wow, I didn't expect such an emotionally-charged response from a non-liberal today. Leftists / socialists and feminists are one and the same. There is a reason why most socialists and commies you meet nowadays also consider themselves feminists. I hate how socialists will prop up feminism and misandry, and yet people like you will try to separate the two and say "actually feminists arent true left wingers". The reason why so many socialists and communists of today consider themselves t…

Leftism is a spectrum, with different economic, political, and international policies and goals. Adherents can be overzealous with the pursuit of liberty or be okay with totalitarianism. It simply can't be condensed into "Boo hoo, leftism equals group hate". Fascism or Nazism fits better with your definition than most leftist ideologies (except Marxism-Leninism and Stalinism, that fits), or hell, even liberalism fits into that category

Feminism should be untangled from socialism, it's poisonous. It's equality propaganda is a damn lie and the left should realize it.

When did I ever deny the issues of women? I'm just outright attempting to disprove misinformation. Women suffer a lot, especially in the Middle East and other fundamentalist or authoritarian traditional nations, and they have my support for their emancipation to equality. But, I am also saying that many issues are outright exaggerated or fabricated by feminism, and that misandry and hypocrisy are becoming more common than actual dangerous misogyny with little backlash or attention other than fro…

The countless posts of this subreddit already showcases the toxicity of feminism at it's very core, and it's advocacy for a gynocentric matriarchy instead of actual equality through manipulating data and drawing on emotional responses to push itself forward. Don't tell me you believe all the debunked feminist bs studies like the wage gap and the pink tax, do you?

Physically indistinguishable, not biologically. We can agree on the specifics in biology, we know that biologically they aren't—but this isn't about biology, this is about language and identity which is a completely different matter altogether. No one's gonna bother anyways to check the chromosome pairing of their companions, so it's practically irrelevant to the conversation from a societal standpoint.
/r/MensRights03/10/23 08:59 AM

Literally the stupidest thing you could ever say. Identifying yourself with something means to inevitably want to be indistinguishable from that thing you're identifying as. You cannot turn yourself into a giraffe by elongating your neck and walking on four limbs since you'd still be distinguishable from an actual giraffe, unless technology will go through hoops and bounds to make it possible. With gender-affirming surgeries, MTF trans will look indistinguishable from a real woman, and FTM trans…

'Many neutral experts'? Oh do tell, and the fact that you use the words 'western propaganda' tells me that you're a Muscovite troll. Russia spends a lot on military, sure, however it all gets funneled into the pockets of the officers due to corruption. They're successful at making a war of attrition, yes, but they attempted to perform a lighting Bewegungskrieg on Ukraine and failed, Ukraine was expected to fall in 3 days, now it's been a year and no major advancements by the Russians. As an anarcho-syndicalist/anarcho-communist, I can confirm this as true from my personal experiences. The pushing away of masculinity by liberal society causes people to become either radicalized against that system and wish to create a new better one in it's stead, or reactionary where they want for that societal system to return to in the past where it wasn't as much of an issue. I was part of the former.

Absolutely true. From our best guesses, most men were just living as badly as women. The nobility in medieval or Napoleonic-era Europe did not have sexism as their top priority, what mattered first was blood and legitimacy to inherit, the gender was only a second, the same case can be seen in China, Persia, and the other Asian nations (kingdoms/tribes) too. This all only changed during the democratization of Europe and Asia.

Yep, after this war is over, Ukrainian men will come back home to see no family after months of war and trauma in the disease-ridden trenches. It's saddening, really, to see that plenty of Ukrainian women will abandon their current partners just because the people over here in the West are far richer and have a more comforting lifestyle.

Literally not their choice to make, they have to, or else they suffer the consequences if they don't. Remember, Russia is fighting a war of extermination against the whole of Ukraine and everything it stands for, and the Ukrainian soldiers are fighting for their culture, for their independence, and finally for their family and their partners — whom they assumedly weren't aware will become disloyal at the start of the conflict.

Ukraine will not stop until all of their eastern territories are liberated, and while they're getting modern NATO equipment, Russia is using it's Cold War era stockpiles. I heard that they're even negotiating to buy ammo from North Korea that the Soviets gave to NK back in the 60s.

Yes, I do mean tradcon as in traditional conservatism. We reject homophobia, transphobia, etc, and treat LGBTQ as equals, because it's hypocritical to fight for the equality of men whilst rejecting equality and respect to the LGBTQ. Now, I can't speak for all men when it comes to their opinions on traditional roles as it's a complex topic, but..Personally, I believe men should be automatically assumed to follow traditional masculine roles and norms, but to do things outside of those roles and no…

You're talking about the emotional and social issues of men which you blame on the 'patriarchy', and haven't even touched upon legal or political issues that they face, which is influenced and controlled by women in a systemic oppression against men and the addressing of their issues to be non-existent. This non-existent patriarchy would be benefitting men, not women. There is a paradoxical dilemma in feminism where all the blame on men's issues 'stem from the patriarchy and to address it would …

Absolutely true, because class consciousness means that the lower classes will be aware of their own interests, and that will ultimately subvert the bourgeoisie's interests of retaining the status-quo and it's inherent pro-corporate propaganda in order to take away labor from the lower classes for profits without interruption or realization. Divide-and-rule has been used for centuries by European colonizers to prevent their hegemony thrown away by the natives, and it is here in modern Western so…

I respect all soldiers that go to war for their sacrifices and hardships that I doubt I'll be able to comprehend as a civilian in a comfortable life. They have too good of a PR. They identify themselves with the left in order to infiltrate it and infect left politicians and left-leaning men and women into believing their misandrist and matriarchal propaganda. Probably because Europe was at the core of the two worst conflicts in the world. Plus, it had gone through dozens or hundreds more as we go far back into history. That is exactly why the EU exists, to create mutual cooperation, economic incentives to remain in peace, and to make it so that it is impossible for an EU state to wage war against another EU state. Though the EU does have a mutual defense clause too, and will come to the aid of any member state. Plus, have some respect for the numerou…
