2	Know how to smile Any time I was nervous about something as a small child (sports tryouts, dances, skate night or whatever) my mom would always say "wear a smile", followed by whatever advice that pertained to the situation. It's been my go to wherever I'm anxious or uncomfortable. It actually makes me feel more comfortable because after smiling for a few minutes, it actually changes my mood a bit. 1	If you're going on a date, make a reservation and chat with the hostess for a minute on the phone. I never realized how valuable this was until moving away and being alone. My friends basically inhibited me before. When you're alone, you meet other people who are trying to do the same thing as you and that's the best way to meet another man I feel. Instantly start a friendship based on an experience you shared.
