If she's convinced the stepdad to adopt she might be planning to divorce him. It makes no sense to give up your child support check when she's getting his beta bux too. They know they've got you hooked for life if you're married. A bachelor can fuck off at any time, but a married guy, whose wife is socially connected to your workplace as wrapped up in a straight jacket and can't easily leave. Everyting you do at work belongs to the company, not you, because they've locked you in.
