-1	Do MRAs support a woman’s right to an abortion? If no, then do MRAs support a man’s right to a “paper” or “legal” abortion? I’m pro-life, so I don’t think either the man or woman should have the right to kill their child. I believe they both have a moral responsibility to that child from the moment of conception. That being said, I understand why, legally, a man should be able to opt out if women are granted the ability to do so via abortion. Whether or not female characters should be able to contend with male characters on a physical level is a different discussion, that’s all. I’m not sure why I’m getting so much hate here. I don’t empathize with the characters either, I’m just making a distinction between that and claiming she’s a Mary Sue. The books literally say that she has an established reputation as a fighter in the settlement. I’ll concede it’s delivered or explained poorly in the film, but it’s the truth. So yes, I believe the canon. I’m not sure what’s controversial about that. Some of that is arguably justified based again, on novel backstory because she is the best staff fighter in Jakku. Everyone knows it, so they don’t mess with her.
