I'm not sure. There are edge cases I'd consider. If the woman lied about taking birth control or if it was rape. Theres the case that a woman changes her mind after being adamant about abortion but I haven't concluded my thoughts on that one.

Perhaps change the way we talk about it. As someone who's definitely sympathetic to the cause, I see too much vulgar language in the way we address those issues. (I'm absolutely not saying that this is a problem not found in feminism).

One specific point that I don't see being changed is a man being able to choose not to have a child (after conception). Otherwise possible

Whilst attempting to maintain my footing in the 'middle ground', the difference between both sides is that feminism is an industry. If there's one thing the capitalist machine cares about, it's money.

We need a community of people who can talk about all these issues in an amicable way. Exclusive of any generalism, accusation or emotive language. I've had successful conversations with people simply by taking the time to talk through both sides of an issue and reach amicable conclusions. It just takes both sides taking the time to listen and understand. That said, I've also been called an 'incel' by left-wing friends and a 'soy boy' by right wing friends so maybe don't send me east to be a dipl…

You're both assuming something different, you arent actually disagreeing. Ones assuming somone was taken advantage of whilst intoxicated i.e. maybe so drunk they couldnt speak type and the other is assuming they were drunk but gave every indication they wanted to have sex.

If anything, not having something to stand on is precisely what will cause it

What I truly don't understand is, why aren't universities crying out for more male students. They pay for education too, it's becoming an untapped market. I understand why pro-women shit happens, feminism is the reason and it's trendy, but I'm genuinely confused why universities wouldn't line their own pockets by trying to appeal more to men who otherwise wouldn't be going.

Yeah a lot of people (everywhere) seem comfortable treating A truth as THE truth and then going from there. If feminists are all misandrists then their reaction makes sense, the problem is they've already defined the enemy so defending the enemy doesn't compute.

Again, I'll insist on the 'depends who you ask' but yeah I agree. The issue always has been categorization. The problem is there are two many different opinions (and contradictory ones at that) under the same banner, so you can't criticize the banner as a whole merely individual opinions. But you also can't not criticize because otherwise their policies get pushed through. Its a difficult one. It's the same as MRAs really. Yeah there are some really far gone shits out there but if we judge a gro…

I agree with that definition wholeheartedly, and that it's the one used by a lot of (decent) feminist, but I will insist on the caveat that it depends on who you ask.

I really, truly don't understand how people can be so blind to discrimination. I really don't. I understand how it works, I understand the basic paychology of it but I seriously don't get how people can claim ignorance to '____-only' being discriminatory. Gender quotas are cancer, and so are the people who push them.

Nah, I mean it's ridiculous this needs to be studied to be reported on/understood. It's simple semantics. Sex forced under duress/against their will -> Rape. I'm not discrediting the usefulness of studies dw :P

The author of a study?! Are you joking?! This is common fucking sense

You're both right, you're just talking about different things. It's absolutely nobody elses business what someone wears. In the ideal world of decent human beings that is as far as it needs to go. However, the reality is different. We could all pretend like the world works how it should i.e. like you've described. But that would be dumb. The fact is wearing that kind of clothing in a beat up part of town is going to attract unwanted attention. That is already known. The person walking didn't cau…

Tbh you can even be hot, if the girl in question doesn't find him subjectively attractive. This ain't even straightforward in the top 20%.

Hot = Not creepy Not = creepy. Catch the guy from work looking at you suggestively = Butterflies Catch the fat dude with sweat patches looking at you suggestively = HR visit. I don't know the right way to rectify the issue, but until it is, don't blame men for not always getting it right.

Might just be a 'who you know' thing but I think it very much is socially acceptable. I've never met any girl (although I'm sure they exist I just haven't met them) who's disagreed when another girl has said that they don't like dating guys who are smaller than them. And I do make it a point to not spend much time around militant feminists. I do agree though, preferences are preferences and that should be the case across the board.

As a pro-abortionist I hate the woman's body argument. The debate is about the state of the 'child', at what stage is it a life, if it is what protections does it have, is being 'alive' the only requirement for right to not be killed etc... THAT is the debate. The implications do affect women uniquely BUT whether we have the right to terminate it is something that is not malleable based on what genitals you have or whether you're pregnant or not. Again I'm pro-abortion and that is why I hate tha…
