I feel the justice system is only interested in punishment to be fair deterrence isn't their job. The Justice System is set up to investigate crimes, prosecute cases and execute Justice to victims and perpetrators. Deterrent is a good piece of a social puzzle, but it isn't the Justice System's job to provide it. There were times in history when the Justice System did provide deterrent. It involved heads on pikes with signs that labelled what people were beheaded for. In the old west rapists and …

When I was going through my divorce (my ex wife who was a stay at home mom) was going through what everything was going to cost her and decided to have a conversation about how we would "split" childcare. I tell her, "that is why you're getting 2250.00/m in child support" she tried to argue that wasn't what child support was for, my response was to ask her lawyer. A couple weeks later I find out she was yelling at her aunt about how if I wanted to take this to court I would just have to pay the …

fwiw AFSP has some more interesting (as in additional) numbers worth looking at. Wasn't calling you out just asking for material.

Boys wrastlin' in the yard? Oh no! Shut that down! We probably just have a difference of opinion here, but as a father of 3 boys...if they start fighting you don't just sit and watch and say, "boys will be boys". Kinda your job to break that shit up. A guy who looks like a fucking model tries to approach an attractive woman on the street? That one I agree with you on...not sure what they were trying to portray there, but it failed miserably. Simply approaching a woman to talk shouldn't be looked…

I thought it a shit way to get the message across with the generalizations. So I'm not super familiar with the commercial, I've seen it once so I'd like some explanation of what people are finding offensive. I see real men standing up to douchebags and predators. I mean, that's what the real men in my life have always done. I think it's sad that the masses might think that this is a new idea, but it gives me hope that someone says, "you know what...there are really good guys out there and instea…

people like that should be ignored. maybe not ignored, but people like that should not be viewed as the norm.

I think he's gone a little to the extreme, but the child support I end up paying is ridiculous. It often leaves me with just about enough money to pay my bills and make it to the next check. Which sucks, because I can't remember the last time I had enough spare money to take my boys to a movie. Or out to eat...and then I get to sit and listen to how their mother is planning a vacation to go snow skiing. Its a little fucked...no two ways about it.

its not propaganda in most cases. I've seen enough between family and friends to know that. Sadly there are quite a few men who want nothing to do with their children after a divorce.

In this situation its the state of texas through a court order intercepting the refund. State of Texas did this because of some paperwork...that I had nothing to do with got botched. I get a little angrier everytime I find out a little more about how this happened.

no doubt there are other cases...as I said, my child support conditions aren't ideal...but I was pretty specific with the scenario in which I would be ok with it. There most certainly are dad's out there who have lost jobs...gotten ill...and a million more scenarios that I haven't even thought of...but i was pretty specific about the scenario... In my honest opinion...my ex shouldn't be entitled to anything. If my kids need something I should be able to provide that something. Instead I provide …
