A few people with whom I’ve shared this story over the years have asked me why I didn’t call the police as soon as it happened, or publicly speak up about it shortly thereafter. The reason for that is because people—including the police—tend to believe that sex workers have placed themselves in harm’s way, and therefore can’t be assaulted. Come on. It might not work, so I didn't try. Heaven forbid she get some actual evidence that it wouldn't work. So the police would have refused to question an…

You missed my point. Now you're making it about feelings. What are you, a feminsit?

Not sure if you understand how thoughtful discourse works. Your snarky one-liners add nothing of value.

endlessly sacrificed and pined for the wife of your liege [...] It's being extra special nice to anyone with breasts, Very interesting summary over all, but it seems you've described women in specific, untouchabe positions of privilege and power as "anyone with breasts." Your first paragraph also seems to describe a method of dangling a carrot over the meat grinder of war to get men to willingly throw themselves into it. I don't see how that's sexist against women, if that's what you meant.

Ontarian here. We have to fix this. I don't know how, we just have to.

Well, she was given double what she asked for on Kickstarter. She knows people are grateful. I think any kind of open thank-you letter would be best left until after everyone can see the film.

Rage addicts will go to the film to have all their self-righteous ragey biases confirmed, and will come out all wet and ashamed that they learned something.

Or how about the fact that the "training" itself constitutes sexual harassment and abuse.

Why should post-secondary institutions be doing any investigating into sexual assault in the first place? Don't you think it's likely that the reason they've adopted their kangaroo sex courts is inexorable from the sexism of Feminism? The point of kangaroo sex courts is to be sexist. You'll never get gender-neutral sexual assault hearings on campuses, because anyone truly gender-neutral can see that they may as well leave it to existent legal authorities and reserve their resources for improving…

Doesn't this bullshit constitute sexual harassment? They're prying into your private sex life, assuming authority over it, publicly degrading you with their assumptions about it, making implicit and explicit accusations, and telling you how to perceive and conduct your sexual affairs. How can it not be sexual harassment to try to force you into contact with their sexual mores which are surely a part of their sexuality? How dare they force their sexuality into contact with your sexuality without …

Ronda Rousey wrote in "My Fight, Your Fight" that she slapped her boyfriend across the face "so hard my hand hurt," "punched him in the face with a straight right, then a left hook," and then "grabbed him by the neck of his hoodie, kneed him in the face" and threw him onto the kitchen floor. Is this a case of domestic violence? That's hard to say without context. lol wat

Oh, so you're just talking about the mob mentality in the video. Both male and female students are demonstrably guilty of being physically and verbally intimidating (eg, "I think I have the right to move forward!" from one female student, while others agreed, and pushed); what rightly matters most to people is the support the students received from factulty in positions of leadership and trust, both of whom were women. If men behaved that way in their leadership positions they'd be treated the s…

I think what matters here is that the two loudest, most censorious and most influential people were not students but administration, making them responsible leaders. They also happen to be women. I'm not sure exactly who these men are that you're referring to, so I could be wrong. A citation would be nice.

AFAIK, this summary is good.

The 'catchy' slogan imbues the message with completely unnecessary emotion and a theme of judgment (plus an implication that 'toxic masculinity' is the 'real' problem) reminding young men of the exact reason they don't seek help. I'm sure posters with pure, straightforward information would be much better: 'Attention male students: counselling is available. If you are experiencing any of the following issues, we encourage you to make an appointment. We can help.'
