Lets switch all to German, they have the rule that any compound word exists, so “Mann” + “Erklärung” is “Mannerklärung” (manspla… you get it). Now say “Frau” plus “Erklärung” and you have “Frauenerklärung” which sound so much more sexist then the Man version for different reasons (it sounds like the explanation is stupid because a woman said it, which defies that ost’s supposed to say but I transgress) but is just as valid In short: Yes, these words are stupid

Well I’ve recently re-watched the old James Bond, even those contain some heavy sexist scenes. Is the film ruined by it? No. Can you just say that at that time, it was pretty different than today and that we rightfully changed our ways? Yes. Watching and agreeing are not the same, an old video might depict the worst of that time’s society or it’s best, we can now clearly see which is which when we do see it
