I'm similar to this. Sometimes I'll get the message, but I'll either be too busy to respond, not want to at that time, or I may not be in a good place to bring on a full convo. She's still responding, giving you full answers, and she's making it worth your time when she does respond to you. This day and age, everyone needs an immediate response. It's ok to wait a little. At least you don't need to wait 3 weeks for a letter to come in the post.

I like asking quirky questions that tell you more about the person than you'd think they would, such as: If a holiday resort was put on the moon, what sort of activities would you want to be there? Look around this room. What would be the first thing you would grab to defend yourself if zombies came in here? It's thanksgiving dinner, but you're only allowed four food items on your plate. What are they? The light story of the questions can also lead to more conversation.

I disagree wholly on your comment. Sometimes it's a trust issue that needs to be chipped away at. To deny someone the opportunity to find love because they have trouble accepting compliments is pretty unfair. Maybe they need to talk or he should give her a little time, or she needs to do some soul-searching but there is no reason to dump someone on the count of crazy because of his or her difficulty in accepting a compliment.
