Congratulations on your marriage and baby🥰 it makes me so happy to hear women levelling up, and proof that HVM exist😅

That’s a really important aspect of FDS - not just finding a HVM, but realising HVM want a HVW! If you haven’t levelled up, they’re harder to find and even harder to keep

I agree, it’s liberating to have that self inflicted pressure of needing a relationship off your shoulders. They’re a luxury, an added bonus if you stumble across one that can improve your already rich life. Certainly not something to be pined over, or settled for.

Me and my boyfriend like to plan meals and cook ‘together’. By together, I mean he does the prepping, cooking, and washing up while I dance round the kitchen being annoying. Also, he’s a GOOD cook!!

Absolutely - Reddit has been for so long a space for men to voice their misogynistic views. A boys club, if you will. This has naturally turned a lot of women away from Reddit as it is not a safe space to discuss womens’ issues without men talking over us. Tiktok has a majority of female users (which is why it gets shit on so much by Reddit users). It’s a space for women to find likeminded women, and discuss our experiences, warn each other, learn from each other. There is undoubtedly a raising-…

Exactly. He’s not changing his schedule solely for ‘her sake’. He did it because he wants to spend time with her because she makes him happy. It would be above and beyond when he is doing things purely because it makes her happy, at inconvenience or loss to himself.

Totally my plan, but with marriage. Will buy my own property, he’ll either rent and save or buy his own too, engagement, buy a property together, then finally save for a wedding. I find it’s the perfect compromise between financial independence and vetting for a future together.

HVM aren’t in any one place. They’re dispersed amongst all the LVM and NVM. FDS only helps you to recognise when and how to discard a man from your dating roster when he does not meet your standards, and how to recognise a HVM when you see one (and keep him). It saves you wasting time on a LVM as soon as you see the first red flag - whether that’s on his dating profile bio or a year down the line. The only way you stand a chance of finding a HVM is by not looking for one. Date men, discard them …

I feel like even if you say “wow omg that would be amazing!” they still don’t follow through. Because they already got the reward of the reaction so they no longer need to actually DO it, leading to your disappointment in the long run🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/12/21 08:55 PM

If you keep repeating yourself with no consequences, you’re teaching them that they don’t have to listen the first time. Poor behaviour shouldn’t be rewarded with additional chances.

He’s not cagey that I can tell, we watch videos together on our phones a lot, I see who he messages etc… I know he has in the past, and while in our relationship (together under 1 year) and once I found out he watched it I was so disappointed. He gave me his word he wouldn’t again after a discussion about why I feel disrespected. I don’t have suspicions or even a gut feeling he still does, but you never know

Me and my partner discussed this and he said he doesn’t watch it. I’m always vetting, and haven’t discovered any other red flags. My problem is, how do I know he’s telling the truth? It’s such an easy thing to hide and if I found out he’s been lying to me I’d be devastated (but also, not surprised because he IS a man)

The way it’s written doesn’t sound like a woman at all. I don’t know any women who would write like that.

Pls, no don’t remind me of this. My English teacher told me about what happened to marlon brando after all the girls swooned watching SCND. Googled him later that night and never been so devastated lmao

I never understood as a teen why this made me feel uncomfortable - I don’t actually like wearing bathing suits in public at all. But now I realise it’s because I don’t want to be content in some guys wank bank. Least of all the men who pretend to be friends.

They don’t - there was a case in the UK (it’s going around tik tok) where a woman stabbed her husband 3 times and the police were called and she was arrested. She had been abused by this man for over 20 years, and the video was ‘funny’ because of the calm and rational way she explained to the police that she hopes she’s killed him properly and she should’ve stabbed him again etc. all of the women in the comments sympathised and understood how she had snapped after decades of abuse, that she was …

Seriously, how hard is it to write a note on your phone when your partner mentions something they like? Both me and my partner do this (he’s unaware I do this for him, too). Then over the course of a year you have a ton of options to choose from, from high end ideas to cheap stocking fillers. And these days, you can get it delivered to your door within 24 hours. If they’re not doing it, there’s no excuse, THEY. DON’T. CARE.

So true. I had a boy in my class ask me out when I was 7-8. When I said no (I was a tomboy and not interested in little love affairs) I had multiple people shame me because it made him cry. He was my best friend but all I remember feeling was annoyed and embarrassed about the whole situation. I’m so glad I stuck to my guns, otherwise all it would’ve taught him was to make us feel guilty and we’ll eventually give in🙄

If he wrote this post about being complicit in a dog starving to death, rather than his girlfriend, the comments would be tearing him limb from limb. But because she was a woman, she gets the blame for him raping her while her organs were literally in the process of shutting down.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/05/21 11:20 PM

Exactly, if it was anyone else’s fault but his, he would have said so. They always try and shift blame, but this time he truly can’t. We’re just hearing the least horrifying version of events he can muster up, and it’s still one of the most vile things I have ever read.

It’s hard to know what to do sometimes - do we appease them for our own safety or tell them to F off. I’ve also been in this situation where you know the signs, you know they’re going to approach you and it’s just plain frustrating and scary

I honestly believe this is half the reason so many men keep spouting this ‘not all men’ bullshit. They don’t SEE it happen to their sisters or female friends as often as us women experience it, because men don’t wolf whistle or harass you when you’re with another man. I’ll get called or stared at or ‘complimented’ every time I’m in public by myself. If I go with my male roommate or boyfriend?? Absolutely nothing. They really are cowardly shitbags and it infuriates me too

There’s no WAY I’m changing my last name. I’ll hyphenate it, at best. I love my last name, it’s a huge part of my identity and heritage, and if anything it’s just a massive hassle having to change it and possible change it back if you divorce. I earned all my accomplishments under MY name and I’m not about to abandon it and allow my husband to get the credit

It’s easier for them to assume we’re all hideous, desperate and socially isolated creatures than to admit they couldn’t reach our “impossible” standards and work on themselves. I can only imagine it makes them feel insecure and inferior. Personally I have a wonderful, conventionally attractive boyfriend with an abundance of HVM traits who understands the toxic mindset of the average Reddit man 🙄

Exactly ... I have an Xbox that I leave at home when I come to uni because I’m quite happy not to play for months. I have other hobbies (music related) and a social life and when I get back home I’ll play for a couple hours to unwind. I don’t understand how men get SO carried away, essentially wasting their life on something that really has no benefit to themselves or society.

I’m 5’1 too! This kinda of behaviour is so condescending and just shows how little they respect us. It’s sad that for a woman to be taken seriously, she has to act like a man🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/11/20 04:04 PM

I often get called feisty by guys, because I’m short and have strong opinions and rock solid standards. I hate that I’m not taken seriously because I’m a small woman, and that the meaning behind my words can be reduced to an adjective because of what I look like.

I have male friends who openly admit they RARELY washed their hands until corona happened. I witnessed it first hand, he’d come out the restroom and just be ready to go until I said ermmmm we’re not going anywhere until you wash your hands 😫 how are they not ashamed?

Many women don’t like this sub because it makes them defensive. Many women do the mental gymnastics in their heads to disagree with this sub, to make excuses for lying, lazy, gaslighting men. They take sides with men because otherwise they have to reconsider all the choices they have made in the past, or the partner they have chosen. They know everything we say is true, deep down. Agreeing with FDS principles would mean accepting they have settled for less / compromised their self respect. And h…

The irony is it’d be SO much easier for men to ‘casually’ get laid if they put some effort into being better at it, so women might actually (truly) enjoy it. But they’re too selfish, they’d rather just bitch and moan about how horrible women are for not letting them use us as a fleshlight.

I imagine it’s similar to how men/boys feel on their little mopeds and in their cars with the modified exhausts. Revving around thinking the women are turning their heads in awe, when in fact they’re being laughed at by every woman in the vicinity. Both situations just REEK of insecurity and desperation for attention.

When a woman raises an issue with their treatment and equality, men will either try and convince her that she is “over reacting”, say “not all men”, or say “but men have to deal with xyz”. When a man raises an issue with the way they are treated, woman almost always wholeheartedly agree and support them. It’s criminal that they have refused to provide the same respect and attention to female struggles for the last... several millennia 🙄

This makes me think of the show Crazy Ex Girlfriend. I mean Rebecca deals with a LOT in regard to terrible men, and is diagnosed with BPD because of the way she reacts to these events (she also has fear of abandonment). I’d give it a watch if you haven’t already.

That’s the thing, they THINK they would be able to spot an FDS woman out in the wild. They’ve built an image of us in their head that we’re gold digging, lonely, bitchy etc etc. But in the real world, all they’d see is a confident, independent and self respecting woman who they’d fight claw and nail to have a chance with. FDS has brought only positives to my dating life. I have an abundance of friends and more male attention than I know what to do with hahah

Yep, my neighbour just died leaving his wife alone after their marriage of 50+ years. Never heard either of them laugh before and we’ve lived next to them for 30 years. You did well not accepting the walk date. The reality is, these guys who suggest these low effort, cheap ass dates are probably suggesting them to 5 other women. The chances of AT LEAST one of those women going to bed with him is high, and he hasn’t had to spend any money at all. He didn’t want to spend money on you because other women will give him what he wants for free. He could spend a couple days talking to some other girl with lower standards and not have to take her out for dinner. He was…

Omg I’m seeing a guy now and he just offered to help me paint my walls (I’m redecorating my bedroom). I said no I’d like to do it myself as my own project. I did it pretty much perfectly considering I’ve never decorated before. Then he showed me a wall he painted - literally the paint doesn’t even go all the way to the edge, there’s tonnes on the ceiling and he didn’t do a second coat 🤦🏼‍♀️

When my father cheated on my mother and left, she didn’t contact him, ask where he was, where he was living, or who he was with. Didn’t act out, call him names, scream or make a scene. I was 10 years old and didn’t notice an ounce of difference in her behaviour before he left compared to afterwards. It was like he was never there. And that, subconsciously, would’ve had a massive influence in how I handle relationships today, with the recent assistance of this fantastic sub. Watching and learning…
