I’m about the same weight and leanness as you but I’m three inches shorter, so I guess I’m otter mode rn. My goal is to be like 160 at the same bf%. You don’t think that would get in the way if I’m still a male art hoe outside of that, do you?

Are you in shape now? I like bodybuilding but also art hoes and idk if being too in shape would generally be a turn off for them.

And that goes for men too. A lot of men looking for something casual are likely doing it because of mental or emotional issues, but not as many men are aware because we’re not quite as emotionally intelligent as women on average.

Just curious, what are some of the books you read that you referred to in the Skills section?

Could you elaborate more on that? Do you mean like making out/foreplay but then stopping it from going any further? Or do you mean them coming over to your place but nothing sexual happening

Okay that I agree with. I was thinking about books in general, but yeah reading a bunch of “how to be a man” stuff instead of just doing stuff isn’t the way to go.

“Men don’t read” is a very immature and incorrect take. Lifting heavy shit at the gym and doing martial arts are very good recs though.

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is the first one I read. It doesn’t have practical exercises per se, but the entire book is just a collection of thoughts he wrote down throughout his life. While I don’t agree with him all the time as sometimes I think he strives to be too emotionless, he always provides a thought provoking perspective. And whether I agree with a particular point or not, it got me asking the questions to further realize my own perspective in life. That, and seeing how little has c…

It sucks when that happens. That’s why I don’t want to lead girls on, cause it sucks to be on the receiving end.

When this would happen to me, at first I’d think it was no big deal and there was probably some excuse and I was worrying for no reason and if I interpret what she said literally then it’s not a bad thing. But in the end my gut was always right, and a drastic change in excitement is pretty noticeable. Not a guarantee of course. At this point it’s out of your control. You did the right thing in saying to do it some other time. If she wants to reschedule, she’ll let you know. Otherwise you don’t w…

Would your advice change any if you wanted a relationship over a hook up?

There are a lot of other types of therapy out there besides CBT. Personally I find CBT’s effectiveness limited on its own. It helps in cutting short the feedback mechanism of negative beliefs leading to more negative situations, but those beliefs you have are not the entire reason you have anxiety; the brain, and emotions, are much more complicated than that. Also, if you’re like me, you have the beliefs you have from experience, and it’s not enough to just try to rewrite those beliefs; you’ll a…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
