"I sometimes make the mistake of telling my wife about work problems and I’m getting better at finding friends to talk about those things. I also talk too much with her about plans for my day or week with chores around the house and things I need to accomplish when I need to just shut up and act. She doesn’t need to hear me think out loud about my decisions. " This resonated with me, still working on this myself.

I think it's 30% of those that get tested not overall. They probably already had at least some kind of suspicion that motivated them to get tested.

I'm sort of surprised you didn't mention the frequency or quality of sex with your wife. Is she ready, willing and able whenever you are in the mood? You might need some active dread to get her hamster to wake up from its long winter nap. Maybe even try some catch and release to see if you can pull some phone numbers and build your abundance mentality. A formerly hot woman with an MD probably thinks she has a very high SMV. She needs a bit of a reality check to get her out of her comfort zone.

Not "no way", it is just harder. Check out Married Red Pill for more specific advice on improving in a LTR vs just hitting next on a short term relationship.

Don't become an enabler for their bad behavior. Read Boundaries by Henry Cloud and When I Say No I Feel Guilty by Manual J Smith.

Even if you don't really care you need to make a suggestion. Almost doesn't matter what it is. Just throw something out there and stick with it unless she make a reasonable counter offer. More than likely she will go with your idea. Sometimes I'll suggest really simple dinner ideas in these kinds of situations like such as: sandwiches (and I pick up croissants or some kind of artisan bread), pancakes, grilled cheese and campbells soup etc.

Men understand the difference between asking our wives for something and telling them to do something. There might be things we would ask them to do that we would never tell them to do.

Do you have a written monthly budget that you stick to? Show it to her so she can see that there is a careful plan that you put together that you are following carefully instead of just winging it.

I would highly recommend Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (I don't get any kickbacks or anything for recommending it). My wife and I did this a few years ago and I think it was a 9 week course, one night a week. It teaches you how to make and stick to a budget and it is a neutral way to discuss things like how much money you can spend a month on things like clothes and restaurants. Talking about and agreeing on a budget in a classroom/workbook setting takes the emotions out of the conver…

Just be courteous like you would to anyone else. If you can't or don't want to help them then just say no. No need to justify yourself. Just be polite but firm or as we say here, hold your frame. Also, practice the art of STFU, no need to get pulled into an extended conversation.

It is ok for you to have standards. If you aren't in to them then don't do it.

Sounds a lot like this sad story. https://therationalmale.com/2013/12/03/saving-the-best/ The pull quote from the husband is "I am so fucking lucky. I got married to a whore, that fucks like a prude."
