Pseudoscience does not mean fake. I said pseudoscience because the above post is not controlled or upheld to a high standard. It's not entirely fake or non-scientific. Its one guy doing some small experiments on his own. None of us can verify or look at his data directly either. There is a big body of work that contradicts his findings, hence why it would require a lot to verify. It could be a good entry point into starting a proper study, maybe in his area where gender norms could be different,…

The fuck does domestic violence have to do with job hiring gender discrimination??? Show me sources that show men are disadvantaged when applying for jobs since that is THE CONTEXT of this reddit post and my original comment that you replied to.

It's not a cope, it's called the scientific method. The above users didn't record his control and is largely anecdotal. This study did 4 types of job applicants with the only difference being the gender, and the second of the pairs being having children compared to the first pair. They send out to 1372 job offers, which is more than the 100 the above user states. https://academic.oup.com/esr/article/35/2/187/5370650 You need larger samples in order to draw conclusions. What the above user did is…

Interesting pseudostudy. Sadly most study's that have done this on a bigger scale and controlled for more factors the opposite is true. Maybe in his area the culture is different, there are a lot of things at play.

Humans online constantly view groups of people as one entity, and sure fan bases, groups and communities act in similar ways, but we constantly forget that it's comprised of individuals.

Probably ask her if she wants to hang out first. Have a day and place in mind where you have time, wanna go. Then ask for her number to make things easier to plan, feels a bit less direct, but still direct. Her number alone won't do much, you still have to hangout with her on a date or something similar.

That doesn't make sense, people who waste money like that are often extremely mysogonistic because they think it makes them entitled to get something in return from them

There is a stereotype but it's fucking weak and harmless compared to actual prejudice minority face for example. Also the stereotype is extremely warranted when gaming communities STILL are one of the most toxic and hateful communities. The hateful people might not be a majority, but they are sure a louder and bigger minority than most other communities in pop culture
