KPTN is tight. Can't wait to get back this summer and do some serious bar hopping. There's another bar not far from there that has a really cool 2nd story lounge spot....wish I could remember the name! Also - if you like hash and jazz, Art Liners is tight. Also in F-hain

If you find yourself acting in a way that seems unnatural to you, then you're probably being creepy. Just be yourself. I prefer to use this sub as a way to get better at picking up on social cues from others more than I do as suggestions as to how I should personally act. Maybe you should try the same. If you feel like you're being fake, others will probably pick up on that too.

You make great points here, but sometimes your hobbies can help you out. For example I'm a part-time musician, I tour when I can, and play locally and regionally very often. This is a great ice breaker, great way to meet people who might be interested in you. I suppose one thing that makes a difference is that people are actually seeing you engage in your hobby, I guess this is a good way of presenting your hobby to people without incessantly boring people by just talking about it.

I dunno, I think you might be playing from the wrong end of the spectrum, I think you'd want the girl to be roughly the same age for this scenario to work out. If they're 2 - 3 years younger, especially when you're over 21 and she isn't, I think you're establishing yourself as a beta in a way. Just my two cents

There is a very specific age group that this works within, though. If you're a guy in your late 20s, chances are it won't quite work the same way as a guy who's 18 or 19 or even early 20s for example

hah you're right, I just looked it up. Seems a bit more advanced than what OP here is referring to though, lol

Sorry, this is really bothering me, but the word is "proximity". Other than that, some good advice here.

The real goal I think that you want to look for is to be loud without speaking loudly, if you understand what I mean. Project your voice, but do not necessarily be "loud". Take a deep breath. Know what you will say. Do not stutter or say "ummm" or "uhhh" or "like" every 5 seconds. Let your voice boom, yet speak softly and calmly. It is a subtle art, one that is hard to explain...and the deeper your voice, the better.

"....today I read some Sartre and began to reevaluate the incredible vanity of my own weltanschauung. I nabbed a bottle of 18 year Macallan from my parents' cellar, and contemplated the complete worthlessness and futility of modern and past creatives whilst lounging upon manifold 100 dollar bills strewn across my own private pool table, writhing like a supple feline in heat. 'twas a most horrible day"

Something I think a lot of dudes who have never had sex before miss out on - unlike men, for women, foreplay is really essential. I know that especially with a novel woman, you're already ready to go and just wanna dive right in. Don't do this. Finger her. Eat her out. Then it won't matter how short your actual intercourse might be, or how inexperienced you might seem, she will fucking adore you for caring about her sexual desires. And don't rush through the foreplay. Take your time.
/r/seduction07/12/13 11:53 PM

First of all....in case you didn't, you're gonna wanna get her engine going. This should help turn you on as well. Secondly - could also be an issue of posture. Use your whole body. Fucking destroy her (in a good way)

Are you sure that your parents are that conservative? Because you don't sound so sure. Having to be in an open area is a lot more than "somewhat conservative". I'm not entirely sure you haven't convinced yourself this is a rule without it being explicitly stated. I'll echo what others have said: you should discuss this with your parents. I know it can be a really awkward conversation, and I don't know your parents, exceptthatonetimewithyourmom but it's an important conversation to have especially…

Agreed. I mean it's a decent point to make from a psychological standpoint, but grouping it as only women who have no clue what they want is veritable bigotry

"treat her like you’re only using her for sex ... when it comes to young hot chicks, this type of behavior is a must." What the fuck. This has got to be a joke. If anything, in my experiences it's been the complete opposite.
/r/seduction30/08/13 08:55 PM

Agreed. It's also possible (and in reality not that fucking hard) to hone the positive aspects of both being a nice dude as well as being a confident man.

Go have fun with girl 2 first! Sounds like you don't have a whole lot of experience? (I'm talkin bout sex, baby) This is going to be made MUCH easier for you if she's already into you. You're pretty much in there. Then, afterwards, your general physical confidence around women will be MILES higher.
/r/seduction21/08/13 10:03 PM

Men tend to think one way. Women tend to think another way. Well that's just fucking false.

You have a much better approach to this. I don't think the idea is all bad, but I think the examples this dude is giving are completely fucking tool-bag-ish and setting yourself up to get, well, yeah probably kicked in the dick more likely than the shins. You can use this approach in a non-creepy way, but for the love of god, the examples given are douchy and creepy as fuck.

Lumping all females into one psychological group. Well done. You're seriously not helping yourself here, bud.

I don't know what kind of women you're fuckin with, but it's clearly not the same kind I am. No self-respecting girl I know would ever put up with any of the latter half of what this dude was giving as examples.
/r/seduction12/08/13 04:44 AM
-9

Are you fucking kidding me? Ok, this started off alright, but the latter half of this is just asking to get fucking slapped in front of everyone. You can have confidence while being respectful, too. Fuck off with this misogynist bullshit

are you 12?

Well this is a lot more abstract than what I was expecting, but I agree nonetheless. What I expected you to post was this comment (paraphrased): "In order to be interesting, you have to be interested"
/r/seduction02/08/13 06:08 AM

See, while my original post was meant more jokingly, this is the kind of thing I'm hoping for someday, honestly. If I start ranting about linguistics and my date is engaged, I will be attracted to her considerably more than before. Unfortunately, these people are few and far between.
/r/seduction14/06/13 05:45 PM

Actually I was somewhat joking...but I think it could actually be effective for scoping out possible longer-term things. If someone's interested in this, then I will automatically be like 10x more attracted to them.
/r/seduction14/06/13 04:14 PM

See my problem is that I'd probably start ranting about linguistics, or evolution, or german dialects or something
/r/seduction13/06/13 08:46 PM

Hmmm. I don't know that I would say this was necessarily a blatant rejection, but rather a sign of disinterest.

Alright, well this is certainly a bit of a generalization, buuut....all in all, when it comes to flirting/pickup/etc. in Germany, men are generally much more, umm....complacent, nervous, jittery, and generally not confident. This is of course not true for everyone, but it is quite common, and something I have suffered from severely in the past, myself. On the other hand, the German women are much more forward and don't give a shit (and they will also drink you under the fucking table). They are …
/r/seduction14/05/13 08:50 PM

Aint this the truth. I'm a german/american, and every time I try to hit on women in Germany, they just seem confused. Women really seem to take more charge sexually in the Vaterland
/r/seduction14/05/13 05:01 PM
4

Absolutely, they are. But there definitely is a north-south dichotomy going on, too. This is pretty much the standard among everybody I grew up with here. I lived in the north east for a little while, and it was drastically different.
/r/seduction13/05/13 12:40 AM

Might work for some people, but down here in the south, this is a big no-no with my parents, at least. Even at 24 years old....

Man, I really needed to hear that last part. Well done, friend.
/r/seduction02/04/13 04:42 PM

As someone who has a similar problem, allow me to put in my two cents. What you should really do is not actually actively try to go for women, if you get my drift. Approach them, but do not expect or even attempt to seduce them. This will only lead to you trying to over compensate by doing something silly. Treat them as you would any other person, and don't give a fuck what happens. The minute that you get too emotionally invested, and shit falls apart, you will only worsen your mood. I've been …

Especially considering how rare this is, too. Not once in my life have I experienced that. Experiencing it at 18 is even luckier.

I hear ya. I'm a manic/depressive individual myself. I always feel like I overcommit to everything I ever do. Artistically speaking, this is great. But when I try to pick up women, it is god awful. So I just stopped. I'm definitely a weirdo in general, and got a little bit obsessed with doing this, with ZERO success rate. Social anxiety isn't always a problem for me, only about 25% of the time. So I've just taken to not even worrying about that kinda shit anymore. Do whatever you gotta do. Every…

haha....well it's typically hard to talk to somebody if there's a pit going on (ie there's music playing). That and, well...depending on how many drinks I've had, I might be in there myself.

/r/seduction08/12/12 12:44 PM

huh, interesting response. see that's a big issue, making sure a girl at a metal show knows you're hitting on them. it's especially weird for me, because I network a lot from being in bands and know like half the people even at a 200-person show (ok not literally, but you get what I mean), and the fact of the matter is that most of the time these chicks are with their boyfriends. However, especially after visiting this sub more often, especially earlier tonight, I've noticed some chicks that you…

Hah I find myself in those situations, too. But I feel like that's an even better situation in the long run though. I'm a front man sometimes, so I feed off of crowd reaction....always try to single someone out visually, make eye contact. I've always thought of it, but I've never actually attempted to take it one step further. Can't tell if it'd be awkward or not.
