Sorry, I'm not a native english speaker, so I might be interpreting this wrong: "judge ruled Mr Challen's own behaviour was violent for over 40 years" And "(Mrs Challen) beat her controlling husband to death with a hammer after decades of emotional abuse" So was he abusive or she? Guys, the way I see it, from all the information I get from the headline and few bullet points: -He seemed to be abusive -She passed the estate to her sons Thus, she was just trying to secure her sons' future. Why do we have to immediately get all offensive? However, the whole story might be different, but we do not know that, thus we shouldn't draw ultimate conclusions from the very little available info we have.
