US, Canada have a compensation system. If you were wrongfully incarcerated then you can win millions in compensation. In India suicide becomes only option.

You will be automatically arrested on a mere complaint and send to jail; ZERO proof. You will loiter there for years before hearing. Also, police acts as a mediator here, they might demand 15 lakhs to settle the case, splitting the money with girls. Be very careful in India, have a helmet cam or car dashcam when traveling.

Still better there is honor in fighting not being treated like criminal on a mere allegation and loiter in jail for years before suicide. Also, acquittal doesn't give any compensation. Russians treat men with a lot of respect.
