I'm just trying to shed light on the other 90% of female victims. Anyone abused should definitely report it. Rape is never okay. I think shame has more to do with why men don't come forward, but it's a really violating crime and I hope they do. Doing prostitution gives them more control over what they are doing. They get to kind of choose, and also don't have to be homeless. It's a complex issue. It's unpaid, and under-respected work. The more than men start doing it, the more this gets brought to light. 3	Don't know if this is the right place to ask for help, but my ex is going around slandering my name by telling people at our college that I sexually assaulted her. The only "crime" I committed was breaking up with her over 2 years ago because she was clingy and manipulative Talk to an attorney and have them file a cease and desist letter of some sort or something. It's interesting you mention meritocracy, because it does go over that in the book I recommended, and it mostly looked at women in higher education positions, who basically have to decide between having children, or having their tenure at the University. I don't remember everything about that part, but I generally don't believe in meritocracy anymore. It's a myth if you ask me. 1	Have you also joined r/feminism? By unpaid work I'm stating that a majority of the unpaid house work and child rearing activities fall onto women, including taking care of older parents too. I realize that many men have reversed those roles, and some women are the breadwinners, but even still that doesn't represent the majority. Women do a lot of work that goes unpaid. You have to admit that most men don't do unpaid housework as often as women do, in the world, and in every country. If they don't do the work, someone else will have to. Pay your wives. No one should have to go to war to fight other people in a country that also doesn't want to go to war. It should not be glamorized the way that it is.
