Yes, but I thought that was accounted for by the sex of the victim. As I recall, if you hold the type of crime constant, criminals with white female victims receive larger sentences. It turns out that males tend to have female victims more than females do and so there you go. 3	[XX] In my Ethics class today, I was the only person who felt that men should be considered regarding the decision to abort. I appreciate your point of view. 3	[XX] In my Ethics class today, I was the only person who felt that men should be considered regarding the decision to abort. Nor is it that physics is what it is, yet when I push someone out of a building, I'm responsible... despite my (very deep and very real) desire to opt-out of gravity. I'll admit that I find these discussions fairly odd. Biology is a fact and so it should be utterly unsurprising that the choices and consequences that arise from asymmetry in reproductive biology are also asymmetrical. I know you don't like this answer, but the reason is simply one of biology and physics. The baby gestates in the woman's body. There isn't a double standard because the male and female situation simply aren't the same.
