Yep, I agree with these sentiments whole heartedly. I too, married young and married someone who I was ultimately incompatible with. I'm left wondering what I got out of the marriage. She got supported while she finished school (which she quit when she was only 4 or 5 classes shy of graduating), she got half of the equity in the house that I personally saved for and didnt even want, she got to walk away when she decided she no longer wanted to be married to me. I lost a 401k I had to cash out be…

Our stories sound very similar. I'm 36, been in relationships or dating someone seriously since I was like 16. My wife and I were together for 15 years, married 12, and our divorce will be final next month. I literally have almost 0 friends who dont have busy adult lives and families. It's so hard to make friends after high school or college, and imo it's harder as a male only because it's weird to talk about as a man. I dont know, ugh. This sucks.

I'm worried about something similar as my stbx and I are both recovering drug addicts both recently clean. She has been unwilling to explain her desire for divorce or why she started to act like she's afraid of me when her family is around. I'm all in agreement about doing the marriage though I have no problem communicating why to her. It was her sudden insistence that we exchange belongings in the parking lot of the police station that left me puzzled and obviously worried, because up to that p…

I no it’s wrong to, but I have been telling her daily that I love her. I’m struggling to come to terms with it all and to be honest, I don’t think I ever will. I see this alot on this sub and I too am guilty of it. I had to stop because 1) at the end of the day it just made me feel worthless and 2) dude, shit like this repulses women. I am not trying to sound harsh or be a dick but you cannot guilt or cry your way back into her panties or heart. Be strong, say fuck her, show her you dont need he…

Honestly I'd bide my time to lower my income and in the mean time start flexing my muscle by not giving a shit and doing the same. "Oh, you're going to your boyfriend's tonight? Well let's split a baby sitter since I have a date [tinder, colleague, etc.] tonight."

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
