I did frame this chronicle as a simp regression, or "slip-up", but you're totally right. I should not have cared whatsoever who those clothes belonged to. I'm here just telling the truth about what happened.. Not what I should have done as a self-proclaimed mgtow. Those were some simp feels for sure. Thanks for the tough love.

Well, you are forced by threat of violence to pay your taxes, so I would argue many selfish people (not you) cough up their taxes to avoid being kidnapped and thrown in jail. :)

Hey brother, there is nothing wrong with looking out for your self-interests as priority. It's the smart thing to do. The MGTOW philosophy is very in-line with this, as are political ideologies such as voluntaryism, libertarianism, anarcho-capitalism, etc. I read a book a couple years back by Ayn Rand titled "the virtue of selfishness". If you haven't heard of it, maybe give it a look. I loved it.

It sounds like you're still stuck in the situation there though, what are you going to do? Divorce #3? I'm really sorry it's taken this long for you.
