In the age of nukes, that might not be the case. Japan has been in demographic decline my entire life, and they are still holding together as a culture. They are also pretty anti-immigrant, so that might make a difference, but I doubt anything will change in the US in my lifetime. We are becoming majority minority, as a country, but the ethos of the country has not changed much, and the primary ethic groups, African Americans and Latinos, have been here for hundreds of years, so most of that cha…

People can live fine lives in declining societies, Rome lasted hundreds of years in decline, before finally failing. The key is to plan for the decline, and keep your assets safe from inflation and unjust taxes, of which Rome had plenty of both. Of course there may come a time where you just have to bail, although most of the western world seems to be caught in a demographic decline, so having some nice 'border crossable' assets would be handy, if there comes a time for geo-arbitrage. The proble…

Society doesn't 'need' functional mating. A society is just a group of people following a certain set of rules. One of the big problems with societies is that they often become very rigid and resistant to change. Sometimes you need to change a society, and I feel that not reproducing is just another method that a society can be forced to change, because it just can't survive following the same ideals that have clearly failed in the sexual marketplace.

If society treats some people like they are special, why shouldn't they think of themselves that way ? People treat diamonds like they are more valuable than water, but good luck surviving in the Sahara with your large bag of diamonds. The market rewards all kinds of things, just because people want them. This is just how markets work. This is also biology, and in nature things like this happen all the time as well, so there is no point in complaining about it, because its just reality.

Yea, if you want Chad you gotta put out, cause he has 4 other women on call, so he isn't going to chase if there isn't any honey right away. The problem here is that most 'Reddit men' that you can talk to here are sub 5 'ghost men', so what we want, or think is the right thing to do, doesn't really matter, because we are completely invisible to all women, so we don't even know what the 'Chad logic' even is, and can only guess what the guy who has all the girls is thinking, or what is the best wa…

This is Chad's second superpower. He either ignores women's political 'feels', or he just says 'you are wrong' and immediately changes the subject. The reality is that most people are highly illogical, men AND women, and autistic guys just need to turn their inner Spock off, and just go with the flow, and not argue with women over stuff that is not in their immediate control. Ironically, its pretty common that women don't even mean the stuff they are regurgitating, and even if she says she's a '…

A man is probably slightly more desirable in a metaphysical way, just because he's probably not a deranged lunatic, if he has a woman standing by him. He's probably also not desperate, since he at least likely has some intimacy in his life, while a single guy could very well be pretty desperate, depending on their situation, which is at least initially a big unknown with a single guy. Preselection is also real, in that its more reasonable to think that there is more than meets the eye, in a good…

Complaining about stuff is pretty normalized in our culture. I imagine even if every lonely guy got a free, fully bedroom functional government Cat-girl Waifu robot from Japan, they would still be posting here complaining about how the Trad-Wife setting isn't working the way they want, or it forgets their name when they have to reboot it ;)

You ARE the OP, so telling me to read your post again doesn't really clarify what your own issue with my comment is. I have met plenty of guys who consider themselves 'nice', and who ask the exact question you say is purely hypothetical, and wonder why they get 0 attention from women, and the reason is, they are usually pretty shy, and only do the bare minimum social graces to function in society. There is no 'participation trophy' in the relationship world, that a man can win for just showing u…

Its kind of like someone saying, 'why am I not financially successful, I go to work for 8 hours every day !' The thing is, most guys are 'nice', at least on a surface level, you kind of have to be, or you end up in jail or beaten up. Its kind of like the water a fish lives in, but just like most guys go to work for 8 hours a day, being nice, or having a job, is just the bare minimum to get by. To succeed in life, or relationships, just takes more than saying please and thank you, that is just th…

These generalizations are sweeping so hard, my condo must be clean by now... Girls just want to have fun ? Yea, that's how the song goes, however, I'm a 50 yr old man, and there has NEVER been a time in my life that I didn't want fun in my relationships. I'm trying hard to even imagine what that would be like 'Yes, Ms. female human, we must produce a fresh crop of Tax Cows for the Fatherland, to win the Eternal War, so lets just do this. No, and the reason is, any relationship will be hard. Will a fantasy perfect gay relationship be easier ? Yes, but not so easy that it would be worth ditching traditional sex. I'm just going to trust women on this, from those that talk about having done both, that vaginal sex is better than anal sex. Intuitively this should be the case, because our bodies evolved to do this thing a certain way, so why would another way be better ? Although I personally don't care if the human race ends, a lot of…

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 11:21 AM

This won't be a choice most women make, either you are meeting people pretending to be successful, but are actually criminals, or you troll the gaming shops where the autists might be found. The two groups are worlds apart, I can't imagine a situation where a person would be dating both of these types of men, and could make that choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 11:12 AM

Obviously there is a type of woman out there that likes danger and aggression, and they are NOT choosing autistic men, as a matter of course, so there is no point in complaining about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 08:02 AM

I don't really see the incentive here, the crimes have already been done. Women want excitement, risk taking, and men who perform well in bed. and they are NOT getting that from functional Autists that are as bland as wonder bread.

You are responding to a Red Pill generalization, which of course do not apply to everyone. However, most desperate simp men WILL pay for, and tolerate, a nice attractive young woman to live with them, even if she has no money and no ambition. Now if YOU can pull another, up-level woman, then that is the winning move, and you should do that, but if you go a few years in the wilderness, and there IS no hawt 5 year younger woman, with a comparable 90 K college job to yours, to happily jump into you…

Yes, I 'get' this strategy, but you have to be over a certain level of basic 'manliness', before a woman will ever come to you. I'm going to put that level at, lets say, 7 out of 10. I myself, am unfortunately below that level, and thus there is no approach, or even subtle hints, from any woman I interact with. I'm happy for you to be of such an inherent desirability level that you do get passive approaches at some reasonable level, but for many of us, this is not the case, so unless we are drop…

I think in terms of pure ID wants, most men would in fact just want casual sex. Now long term relationship is certainly the third best thing, and if that were the only option, many average men would settle for it, but I don't think most men are looking for long term relationships, as their fantasy dream option.

Women on average have more sexual opportunities than men, so they are less likely to look at friends in that way. Also, if a woman wants an intimate relationship, they can probably go out and find that fairly easily, while that initial hump is MUCH harder from a man's perspective, so the odds of a man looking for a more than friends situation is much more likely. I would say faithful and happily married men might be more open to platonic friendships with women, but that is not the majority of me…

I think what men want in relationships is more visual/physical, while women want to actually do interesting things with their man. This can be a key difference, because a man will have no problem putting up with a slightly less mature woman who is young and beautiful. while a (say, 30 year old) woman may not want to do the kinds of cheap and dangerous things a 18 year old guy wants to do, like go tubing through a storm drain during a storm, which is obviously stupid and dangerous (and affordable…

Id say $10,000 a month is too much. I've seen higher, but at that level, there is just nothing that kid is ever gong to go without, even if the mom isn't spending like 80 % of it on herself, which of course she is. Yes, yes, high cost of living, and private school and private daycare, and maid service, but if a woman has that level of living costs, maybe the big city just isn't for her, if she doesn't have a high powered Gigachad Daddy Warbucks man in the house, paying for everything.

Men's desires have been at the forefront, and the default, for millennia. You are just too young to see a time before the pendulum swung its current way. When I was young, mainstream movies had this rather silly thing, it was called a 'shower scene', and a young, physically attractive women, who was a main character in the movie, would just randomly undress and take a shower in front of the camera, and you got to check out her goodies, for no plot reason. I saw a few of these as a kid, and even …

I think you are getting into semantics here. I 'care' about Timeshare sales pitches, in that they are very common, and have very obvious tells that your 'free' steak dinner isn't going to be so free, even though I have no interest in them, or interest in actively fighting them, I'd still like to warn any friends that are talking about such a pitch event, since they may not understand the legal risks of getting into such a thing, and that is how I see Redpillers and marriage. This is actually how…

Ironically, about half of the hypotheticals already exist in some form, or make logical sense. We already can't have certain types of pron, even if its drawn, or pure fantasy, we already do have a lot of our income taken from us, if we have a child and the mother demands child support, there is totally a social stigma from a man being permanently single, and you know what ? I think the idea is that men with low quality sperm or no family are treated much worse than other people, maybe sent to a work camp. To some extent there is some social stigma for opting out of the future of the human race, but OP's vision is something much more like reverse Handmaids Tale.

I beg to disagree, at least in the West. In our system, politics is mostly meaningless, as an Anachro-Capitalist, literally none of my ideas are law, and I oppose 95 % of what liberal western governments do, as well as the entire tax system. If you are not in team red Uniparty, or team blue Uniparty, your views will never be taken seriously, and even if you ARE in one of the two lame choices, you just flip flop back and forth between them, so your ideas are only going to be law for 4-12 years, b…

Redpilled men don't care to get into marriage, but they DO like dissing it. Dissing something is not thinking its the end-all-be-all, its just tearing it down. If you don't like Redpill tearing marriage down, that is fine, but I was a little confused by the first paragraph.

Dating is probably the area in life with the most overt discrimination of all, because its purely a personal preference, and there is no way to force 'fair' decisions, because nothing is fair in love and war. The very term 'bad personality' could pretty much cover every non-physical aspect of someone, including autism, intellectual deficiency, and even just being rude, and I'm sure its used in an ableism way, and sometimes not, the ambiguity itself hides what exactly is the problem, and that is …

You seem confused in this 'debate' It's actually the Patriarchy that is all about the 'quantity of marriages' Most actual Redpilled men don't care for marriage much, and its pretty clear the quality of marriages is on average pretty sh!t. AI as it exists now is hot garbage. That being said, its somewhat good at generating random-ish responses that are somewhat logical. I think such things will have to be judged on a spectrum. Clearly this thing will not end loneliness, and probably it will always be looked down on as a fancy chatbot, but if they ever get a robot person going, being able to spew random topics with some level of coherence will be needed, along with many other simulations, to make this larger fantasy come into focus…

Its a self-serving theory as to why its hard for red pill men to date and marry women. Clearly anyone with eyes can see that its still pretty normal for at least 50 % of men and women to be shacking up and married, even if a lot of those relationships eventually end in divorce. My theory is that the pool of, say, 6+ out of 10, and 18-29 year old women that are single and looking for men in clubs and online is just a REALLY toxic subset of women, and maybe among this, lets say, 10 % of all women,…

Men are on average thirsty and will settle, and I don't see any way to change it. Its just like the Social Security Ponzi Scheme. The Galveston Texas teachers opted out of Social Security when that was briefly allowed, and by creating private investment accounts, each person in a real retirement system got eight times as much money out at retirement, as could be eked out by participating in a government slush fund, but normal people don't care about or understand compound interest, so we stay st…

This goes to a core feminist belief, one that gets lots of male pushback, including from me. The idea that raep is about power, and not sex. I don't believe this is the case, because there are lots of other things in life a man can do to get power. The very concept of power is highly malleable, and can be expanded into almost anything. Owning a muscle car can be a form of power, as in horsepower. A rapidly compounding real estate empire or stock portfolio is a type of power, spending power. Winn…

It means that guys want absurd things all the time, and virginity is just one of those things that we might want, if we could have whatever we wanted. This type of fantasy is not limited to the West, how about all of those virgins the terrorists get for dying for their cause ? Lowering your standards is always bad advice, for any gender. Most people will be happier alone, than hooking up with someone they don't like. Guys get in a lot of trouble settling for being Beta Bux, or even worse, a walking ATM machine, or a sugar daddy. If there are men of high standards, there is nothing wrong with women looking for that. I have met several high status men, they are out there, and if you can't compete, that is a personal problem.

Women have been heavily sexualized in the past across most works of fiction, and the modern depictions and presentations seem to be carrying that forward to some extent, in the areas where such things have appeared in the past. Most non-remake stuff released today tends to not sexualize women very much, compare the Madam Web red carpet presentation to the actual movie, and you can clearly see that the red carpet leans heavily into the sexualization of the cast, while the actual movie is very res…

The original sites, where you looked through profiles were ok, all this new video game swiping stuff, while it is visceral and faster, it really isn't dating, more like dissing on people, and is way to gamified. This is about relationships, not specifically the marriage timebomb. Being Brad Pitt only makes long term relationships with 9's and 10's possible, they still have all the risks of normal relationships, just with less crazy, because there is not an obviously better man than an 11/10. For a married man, once your joint assets go over a certain amount, divorce is almost certain, regardless of if there is no better man to swing to, unless you let them spend what they want, or you are close to a nat…

We are about figuring out what went wrong, if anything, so we can do better next time. Randomness is a pretty big factor in any relationship with a woman, but there are people that make them last a lifetime, and people that can't get 1 week, and there are patterns and lessons to be learned from both, and that is what we try to do. The phrase, 'She's not yours, its just your turn' is a good cope for an unexpected end, if you have done your best. There also is a trend that many women end relations…

The most important fact in this modern life, especially for an average man, is that at the start of your adult life, literally no one cares about you, beyond your immediate family, until you give them a damn good reason to care. Ummm, anyone with this idea does not understand strait men, and we are NOT that complicated. We want to get our ding-a-ling in some ho ho, and it would also be nice if she had a pretty face. That is it. Yes, another dudes behind can technically fit a penis, but that doesn't excite us. Dating is harder for all men, regardless of sexuality, because we are the more thirsty sex. Now its easier to have GAY SEX as a gay man, because gay men are more promiscuous than strait women, but an actual gay male relationship requires a lot of self improvement, maybe even more than man-woman (!!), and the numbers of available gay men are much less than strait male-female, so the odds are even more against that type of ongoing relationship.

Honestly, we are mostly no longer 'naturally' hunting on the African savanna, so our evolutionary logic is mostly just genetic baggage at this point. Kind of a generalization. I'm sure some men 'love romantically' even if they come from a place of scarcity, this is more of an 'average Modern man' kind of thing. The reality is that human children are too helpless to quickly stand up and run on the steeps of Africa, like prey animals, and they just don't survive without some father AND mother involvement, so there had better be some biological and emotional attraction of men to their mates and children, or we would never have made it to where w…

I would argue that its not actually a problem at all. Nigeria is FULL of young, English speaking people, looking for a better life, we have a better life, and a few less kids, seems like these two situations balance each other out nicely, once people stop complaining about immigration, and accept that we are not going to self-replenish, so we actually need the new workers that want to come here.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 01:46 PM

How is it bad for 'society' if we have less kids ? Will it reveal that Social Security was just a giant Ponzi scheme the whole time ? Of course it will, and that is a GOOD thing. The sooner we either scrap SS, or have a real savings system with personal investments, the better. Sometimes building things to last instead of scams is a net gain, even if the transition is rocky.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 01:43 PM

Anything more than 100 years ago is not relevant to the real world, unless we get EMP'ed back to the stone age, which is not impossible, but its such a low likelihood event, that its not worth dealing with. Maybe sex would help society and people, or maybe not, but it doesn't matter, because society has decided not to let most men get laid anymore, so pining for some fantasy good old days serves no purpose, because all the women of the world are not going to hand out pity sex to the incels like its the free love 1960's, so what is the point of this 'debate' ?

There is a view in the Red Pill scene that all women are promiscuous for the 'right man', usually referred to by a racially linked name, Chad, Tyrone, Sanchez, Wong, and that if you made yourself into that man, you would have a chance with any woman, regardless of their reason for not being interested in promiscuous sex. Of course this is not reality, as there are definitely some women that will wait for marriage, or death, because they are weird, or have morals, or whatever reason. Yes, waiting…

Motherhood, like fatherhood, is not appreciated in Rat Utopia anymore, and that is why no one will do it anymore, unless its an accident, which is why the Powers That Be are trying so hard to outlaw abortion, to make sure the Social Security Ponzi Scheme gets some new victims, but THEY don't have to raise them. Also open borders is another simple solution to the 'Motherhood Problem', as its so much easier to just recruit some ready young workers, than to actually create them organically.

Women do what they want, and that is not for me to say, but yes, that is the general idea. It wouldn't be the first time women got what they wanted manipulating sexual access. This is a pretty normal strategy in Africa, but we in the West like to think of ourselves as pure intellectual beings of light, but we have flesh as well, and the desires of the flesh drive a lot of the bad things that are now normal in our society.

We have established nothing. Only a test would establish anything, and I doubt there would be any savings. Also, the cost distribution is radically different under UHC, which will make some people pay way more than others, so there are also winners and losers

Just to clarify without your framing of this issue, Universal Healthcare is SLIGHTLY CHEAPER than the most expensive healthcare in the world. This does not mean that it is cheap, because its not cheap, and when you insert expensive things into the US, which has lots of structural flaws with its current system, it may turn out that UHC is not cheaper at all here, just because our system itself is so broken, with costs so out of control, that this may actually be a cost driver, just because servic…

Well, I guess they are happy with the status quo then. Don't like the wealth gap between the rich and poor ? Social expectations can make relationships harder or easier, but the human sex parts just fit together best in a heterosexual way, so that isn't changing. That being said, traditional couplings are in decline, as are families worldwide, so clearly something is changing. 95+ % of women are not interested in a normal guy, friend or stranger. 'Friend' isn't going to magically improve those odds, although a friend would have the slight advantage of knowing when a break up has happened in a woman's life, and there is technical availability, its not enough of an advantage to really tip the scales. The issue is more sunk cost. If a guy wants a friend he has known for, say, 6 months, to be more, and they say no, it hurts more than a random approach at a bar, where mini…

I think 'improve' is the wrong term. You don't improve your homeowner experience by buying a fire extinguisher, but instead you are 'more ready' if something goes wrong. It also depends on the goal of the dater. If you want to form a long term mutual respect relationship, TRP is unlikely to help much, but if you just want to get your penis wet without getting divorce-raped, it might help to have a more clear-eyed view of the risks and tactics needed, and where they lie. Its pure hypocrisy, and that is the norm with human sexuality. Lots of people like porn, but won't tell the world about it, because there is a stigma attached to it. The math of porn is not at odds with the number of men and women, because a few top tier beauties can make all the porn for all the other fat slobs, and thus your wife and mother don't have to be in any porn, to still have bajillions of porn videos full of beautiful people, with only a tiny subset of the total population making all …

Our culture protects women more than men, a pretty standard situation in most cultures. Also, a side effect of that is 99 % of dick picts are just ignored because there isn't much interest in that material in general without some kind of celebrity angle, whereas a female nude will have interest regardless of celebrity status, because there is general interest in it, so this is usually something of a non-issue, except for an extremely small subset of men were there is actually interest in their j…

The wolves, if they are forced to live together, like in a zoo WILL have a pecking order, it seems to be a natural result of living in a large group. This is SUCH a small issue I don't see why men keep complaining about it. The reason men usually pay is simple economic supply and demand. The current supply of thirsty men of all ages vastly exceeds the number of available and attractive (to those men) women that want to waste an hour talking with them, full stop. This is also why online dating is hell, as well as the way clubs charge different genders, and men pay more there on average also. Men, if you don't want to play the mating game this …

Animals also have homosexuality, its probably related to the biological mechanism for attraction being a little wonky. We know that biological attraction IS wonky, because birds raised by humans won't usually mate with other birds, indicating that the entire mating process has can be 'nurture diverted' Fortunately, every female doesn't need a male, so its easy for an alpha to step in and make sure every female gets pregnant, regardless of if 2 % or 10 % of the males decide not to bother, or in n…

Men can say anything they want to, but it doesn't really matter, unless they can actually convince young women to get with them when they age out of that range. Men's sexual peak is 17, but the odds of having any real life accomplishments at that age is very low. As a man, you can beta bucks up your life faster than your looks decline, but you still need to master the social skills, or those bucks are not going to help much. Also, the options fall off to some extent as the years go by, and older women are pickier, unless your social skills are god enough to pull much younger women. Mathematically, there will always be more moms, as women age from 20 to 40, just because its hard to get rid of a child once you have them, and they usually stick around for about 20 years, so a 20 year old had about 5 years when they could have had a child, but at 35, a woman would have had a total of about 20 years to possibly have had a child, so the odds naturally go up for them to have a child.

Attraction is a thought, having lots of sexual experience with many partners is a reality, and comes with certain risk factors for diseases. Also, everyone is attracted to young people who are adults, its just people's most attractive time in life, for the most part, and men are MUCH more focused on looks, for the most part, so it should be expected that they most likely have this attraction.

No one is a slave to anything, big brain and all, we could move off the old assumptions to some random new future mating theme, but the question is, What will move us off the old animal assumptions ? Yes, no need for children, but the base assumption that the male is the more eager to mate is not dependent on children or no children, but the availability of females willing to mate. So far, it appears that there are still more human males looking for mates than females, even with the possibility …

Courtship in the animal kingdom is fairly analogous (the male does most of the work, then the the mantis bites off his head, if all goes 'well'...), so there is really no reason to apply the 'big human brain' to this topic and figure out if its fair, because life isn't fair, and this is one of the more unfair aspects of it. One could also look at the negative career effects of leaving the workforce to raise a child, as women often do, as another different unfairness, but its all pointless. This …

The Blue Pill is pure fantasy, and a LOT of people want to live in a fantasy world. As more and more businesses pop up to cater directly to the blue pill fantasy, the pull of its absurdity just gets stronger. Onlyfans, Camgirls, video games, wedding planners, family lawyers, Planned Parenthood. A shocking amount of the total economy is devoted to this Blue Pill absurdity, and its only a matter of time before the people of the west 'turn Japanese', in both meanings of the term.

The greater good does not screw individuals, POLITICIANS AND COURTS screw individuals, the 'greater good' is just the excuse, like bringing Christianity to the natives as the reason justifying killing them and stealing their land. If someone screwed you, its because the law was written by the victors to do it, and maybe its time to write some new laws that have a different idea of justice.

'Greater good' is an extremely nebulous term, and it really depends on what the observer values. I personally see no reason to distribute wealth from the earners to the takers, but others think that is for the greater good. Its really a political question, and as such, there is no real agreement on what the greater good even is, and what that is changes a lot over time, as someone thought statues to our heroes were for the greater good, before modern day people thought tearing the same statues d…

The bar is where ever women set the bar, as they are the gatekeepers for starting relationships. Sometimes the bar is low, sometimes its high, it really depends on the person. I think the real issue is that people in general are just less interested in relationships, because of technology and other modern distractions, so that makes the initial hurtle high enough that some lesser men can't even get a shot, and that is a shame, but that is also the way it is, so guys better get to at least level …

We may have to agree to disagree, to some extent. I'm not arguing that it was right, or not in some cases forced, only that it legally wasn't rape in society, even if the physical act was similar, and I believe most people were raised and conditioned to accept it, and mostly did accept it, even if a few felt it was rape, because most people in their society felt it wasn't rape. Every society forces people to do things they don't want to do, but we treat this thing in modern times much more seriously then they did then. You are looking at it through the modern lens. Back in the day, this was the socially acceptable way to live. Yes, some people didn't want it, and it was like that to them, but the vast majority just accepted it as normal, so it was neither rape nor love, but just normal life, and not looked at as terrible.

Feel free to play as hard to get as you want . . . and you won't be got, unless you are Brad Pitt. This is just the nature of the dating game here and now. Men are expected to work for relationships, and if you don't work for one, you much more likely than not will never have one. Many seem to want 50/50, but life isn't like this. Clearly the situation is created by society in general, and often by other men. The family court is still mostly run by men, but the parochial attitude that we must 'protect the woman at all costs' clearly leads to very biased anti-male verdicts where the woman almost always gets the children and the support, even in 50-50 judgements, which is clearly not fair, but the men in 'the system' go along with it, because it is the prevailing wisdom of society.

Its called freedom. In the past, there were different standards and more shame in the country, but huge cities just have a completely different 'shame dynamic' from small towns, and the new dynamic is much more liberal, so as we urbanized the shame went down, and we can be free of the tisk tiskers that have a much larger circle to gossip in in a city, so it rarely gets back to the victim. The decline of participation in organized religion probably also played a role, as this part of the patriarc…

Its not a tipping scale that could theoretically come into balance, its uneven standards, and the reality that men can be shared easier in our culture than women can, because its more socially acceptable to do so. Men just have higher beauty standards than women do, because we are more visual, and attracted to such things, and we are expected to provide for ourselves more than women are, so there are fewer other things men value. I have experienced this with both my friends and myself. To put it…

The thing you find disturbing about men is the bell curve. The bell curve puts most people in the middle (average), and the outliers at the edges. However, for men, the curve is noticeably flatter, so there are more men at the edges of the bell curve. This is both good and bad, in that most CEO's are men, but most homeless people are also men, as are most criminals and most insane people. And yes, this includes violence. Most people, men and women, are in the middle, but you will see noticeably …

This will actually have very little impact on society, except we may increase immigration to keep the population up. One Chad can put a lot of loaves in the ovens, I believe this was the historic norm, before the patriarchy imposed monogamous families on society, but that was never going to last, because it required a lot of control of private lives, and people got tired of that crap.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/22 08:17 AM

Also consider the bell curve. Men tend to be the outliers of society, go to any CEO meeting, jail cell, or homeless camp, and its going to be overwhelmingly male. Because its possible to share the 'higher value' men in casual relationships, dating very much falls into the 'winner take all' way modern society runs.

He explicitly does not want a relationship, only sex, but he also self-sabotages any sex possibilities. I have done the same thing. Perhaps its an aversion to the actual work needed to get to sex, as it usually isn't easy for men.

I've heard bad oral stories before, and of course faking it in general is also common. Its likely some not too illogical logic, like they feel some duty to the relationship. Honestly, the mouth isn't really an erogenous zone, so the female rationale for oral never made sense to me, beyond lubing up the penis for later use elsewhere.

Humans are not logical, not women and not men. Our irrationality just seems logical because of our internal biases are harder to see and easier to rationalize. The redpill mantra is in fact the same as female hypergamy, except without the pretend commitment, and of course with more work on our part, because its much harder for men to get sexual access than it is for women, but the 'logic' is the same, as in there is no logic, beyond do what feels good as much as possible, and as safely as possib…

A lot of male muscle gainZ are equally as fake as female enhancement. Steroids are the most common tool, but strait oil injections are not unheard of, although they are MUCH more health risky, and totally fake to boot. Relationships in Western societies require the man to chase, that is just how the game is played. Even a high SMV man has to chase, even in video games with relationship elements, which are designed to make it easy, you still have to chase in the game, to get anything. This is an ambient thing, 'the way it is', and there is no reason to believe that it should be different. The problem is, women don't know what men like. If she didn't like him for a relationship but wanted sex, she would have ghosted him after a ONS. Maybe to you this is the preferable outcome, but she feels like having immediate sex with someone you want a relationship with will drive them away. Not at all. The incentives to reproduce are not there in modern society, since at any time your part of the process can be reduced to paying a lot of money, with limited controlled access, or no access, if the woman moves away. Men will definitely leave their wives for someone better, its a tale as old as time, however, there are so many examples of men having affairs with meh level women that that is also a stereotype. What advantages did Monica Lewinski have over any Victoria Secret model ? Yes, child support is not really related to marriage directly, but the concept of marriage does encourage taking on of child rearing responsibilities, which someone purely in a 'shacking up' situation might be more weary about signing up for. Marriage does present the illusion of solidity that might encourage starting a family, which is why that illusion needs to be dispelled, so people can make more rational choices, which would involve men not starting a family. unless they can support it livi…

The inflation tax is the most regressive tax, as it extracts value from everyone that earns dollars with labor, or has dollars, but even worse than where this tax falls is its hidden nature. Everyone starts assuming government is free, even though there is no free lunch. Even as well off people dump dollars for assets, they still are willing to support nonsense policies that blow through money we don't have, just because the actual cost of them can't be seen directly.

I think you are putting the work cart in front of the consumebot horse. People waste tons of money on worthless crap, and thus they need to work full weeks. We are a consumerist nation, and people choose to work more to consume more. Yes, COL is going up, but that just means it might be time to move, or cut back on space. Most of the time being 'forced' to work is a choice to keep up with the Jones's, and that is a bad choice.

Its hard to find good human sexual attraction studies, so its unlikely anyone can bring anything but their personal theories to the debate. Here's my personal theory about female attraction. Social security is presented to the public as being different from welfare, where you actually get out a proportional amount to what you put in. Clearly you want a more welfare version of the program, but that is not what it was created as. If it was just a tax, why was the cap put on it in the first place ? The same way drugs are 'better' than working hard on success in life. People just don't want to work hard. Drugs and porn are easier, one and done. Clearly the main point of my post was to judge men by their gender, since I basically lumped in mass shootings with all the other things men do 90 % of, like prisons and homeless shelters. By the same token, there are logical reasons women are not at the edge of the bell curve, because they have an important role in successful reproduction in a way that men don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/21 02:36 PM

Men live on the edge of the bell curve. If you come back to this issue when there is full gender equality in the prison system, you will never come back, because that will never happen. Beings who would go on mass shootings would be poor mothers, and would have sorted themselves out of the gene pool long ago, and the pretty rare (usually their own) child-killing mothers ALWAYS make the news, because its so unusual to have the female equivalent of a mass shooting.

I was vaguely aware of this guy, but the outcome is not surprising, since men are expected to 'suck it up' or 'man up' and get over it in any sort of breakup. And of course, men are expected not to have custody in a breakup, so of course there are no kids to protect when a man tries to get away from a woman. And men are stronger, so they shouldn't be threatened, even though they are likely to end up in jail in any kind of modern day physical altercation.

Sex is a little different from money, theoretically there would be some mutual benefit from sex, whereas if you provide a partner with money directly, it is almost by definition a using relationship, unless there is an agreement that one person will be stay at home, or there are children. I would wager that only 10 % or so are true in cel, but I think that the average man does not feel they have that great a sex life. Airlines explicitly tell passengers not to do this, you are instructed to put your own oxygen mask on first, before helping anyone else, even if they are young or elderly, and the reason is the risk to the helper of…

Being near a college is more like traditional dating/game, when you are going to college you are in close proximity to young women every day, and have lots of conversation opportunities. In some ways, work can be like school, but not for dating/relationships. Job dating is a big avoid, as every workplace will forbid it, and its really not worth it to put your job at risk for some pussy. Well, I mean, school is the best chance to find women before they get ugly, tatted up, strung out on meth, lots of kids, etc. I'm middle aged, but when I went to school, the hotness level was fairly high. It actually got much hotter when I went to college. Something about the 'cover charge' of going to 'paid school' just screened out a lot of the land whales and meh women. College also screened out a fair number of men as well. All my high school friends didn't make it to college, so the male/fe…

Lets be honest, school is kind of a bubble in reality where most chicks are hot, and you have a natural way to hang out with them and talk with them that isn't the kind of forced competition that the bar scene is. Also, a lot of guys are at their physical peak, and if someone in school is rich, its not really their accomplishment most of the time, its just daddy's money, so there isn't a lot of real status difference to segment people off. Yes, there is lots of fashion BS, but that usually doesn…

Red pill theory is that women ghost pre-date because they are unreliable and flaky by their nature. Clearly the fact that women have lots of options also makes flaking much more doable as well, since there will always be more thirsty men, maybe even that day (!!), but men have a lot less options, so why would they flake before trying to have sex, since that is almost always the primary goal of going through the effort of dating for men. You will also see posts of post-sex ghosting by women as we…

Lets not forget all the corrupt politicians that went along with the war on drugs, including minority politicians. OLD is a clear positive for most people, that is why we invented it, and started using it. It just saves everyone involved time. If the end result is some people 'don't get picked for a team', then that is the likely result of the old system as well. The only difference is, in person, the losers could beg for pity sex, or try to overcome their disadvantages with wittiness or something, and maybe that could work sometimes, so it seemed 'better' from their perspective, but it also wasted the time …

The fundamental issues are the same, but the technology has made the situation much more mechanical and changed the odds of anything happening, or even meeting anyone to extremely tiny. By far the most important use of money, beyond the basics, is to make more money on your money. Its quite possible to have your earnings on your savings compound much faster than your ability to save in the range of 10 -15 years. This creates a much better happiness or freedom than buying more luxury crap.

This is like the worst lesson parents could ever teach a kid. Don't save any money, because it will just be taken away from you. I'm also not a fan of forced savings or charity. Money for children should be all about choice. If you don't give a kid the choice on how to use the money, then it wasn't really their money to begin with, kind of like when I get a paycheck with the taxes already helpfully removed by the government to buy another missile. Gee, thanks Uncle Sam !

I wasn't saying that women were rational about relationships and ending them, only that both men and women are irrational about such things. There are plenty of counter examples on social media of women not being supportive of other women who are overweight, but this would be hard to objectively prove. Most of the guys I know don't care about body weight that much, at least not of other men, of course there are lots of guys who ridicule fat women, but that is more related to sexuality than just them being overweight, where sex was not possible.

But the underlying REASON manual load powder bags for battleships weigh 90 lbs is macho bullshit, since the weapon would be easier to use, for either gender, if it were designed with a reasonable weight. What I mean is, these things were not designed for men, they were designed for MANLY men, to boast to other men how manly they are, and are thus actually less effective weapons, because some of the designs were 'man illogical'.

Pets are things, not people, female animals are inherently more valuable because their offspring can be immediately sold for money, or milked for money, or eggs sold, etc. Humans for the most part don't care about reproduction. There are other macho bullshit reasons women are not sent to fight, like the shells are made in a large and hard to move form factor, and logistics is too lazy to make different types of body armor. Another big and good reason is pregnancy evacuations. These are not cheap or easy, and as soon as young women were serving with men on ships and subs, this became a problem. I believe it may be the opposite. Female choice seems to be the primary setter of male traits, which feature a lot less strength than most other primates, and capacity to reproduce seems to set female traits. This is not at all the norm among mammals. Baby rabbits just easily po…

The two sort of bleed into each other, since the general RP opinion is that women unreliable, overly emotional, and are not worth dealing with, unless they are attractive and sex is possible. Yes, a man might have more than one wife in the harem, and maybe sex slaves, if they were insanely rich, but they could just as likely have only one woman. Its that Meddlesome Bureaucrats are TERRIBLE at making economic choices for huge markets, hell, they couldn't even figure out how much TOILET PAPER the people need, (and that is a fairly easy thing to figure out, since the BM 'output' is fairly consistent ) and you are going to let them choose your most intimate and important life decision ? …

I agree, the whole idea is absurd. Yea, a bunch of people would use it at first, but then you will realize its a waste of money and stop, or they will go broke. Last time I was in Nevada I noticed that, away from the casinos, locals don't usually play the slots, even though they are in every convivence store, like arcade cabinets used to be. Why ? Because the excitement wears off, and you have better things to do, and/or you lose your money faster than you can earn it. It would be the same with …

Just came here to say this. This third paragraph is completely different in tone than the other two, implying a right to the time an efforts of others, while earlier denying any right to companionship. Both are wants, and people should work to satisfy their wants, without calling in the state's guns to get what they want with violence, personal or group.

Maslow's hierarchy of needs Intimacy is level 3. All the 'needs' you sighted are level 1 needs. Anyone living in the West probably has all the level 1 and level 2 (safety) needs met, so they tend to incel around this level 3, because you can't do it alone, and big nanny government won't help you with it.

I think the idea is no laws making it unnecessarily hard to access legal things. You should be able to access contraception if its legal, just as you should be able to pay a cam girl with a credit card. Why should the FBI demand that credit cards cut off access to buying legal things, because they think its 'naughty'. its really no different when Texas makes abortion providers have hospital admittance rights. There are two main problems with man/woman friendships. The first is the woman often expects more and brings less to the (platonic elements of the) friendship, and the second is that there will always be an immediate possible 'level up' to such a friendship, from the mans perspective, in a way that there is normally not for male/male bros (no homo). Its much easier for two men to get close but not too close, much harder with a woman in the mix, because of said level up option. A secondary proble…

Because if you don't protect it, then you won't have any at all, like China's policy, and then you would have to import it from other countries secretly. Sex workers clearly get arrested, but they are desperate people, and time in prison is just another cost of doing business, so its not a deterrent, and the authorities know this. Prostitutes ARE criminals, but the authorities see that its pointless to arrest them, because then the authorities are paying for prostitute's room and board, and they will go right back on the street when released. Would dinner be the same if it were only the vegetables ? Hypergamy is a made up redpill term for the ability of women to upgrade mates relatively easily, on account of the bar being lower for women to enter new relationships. The guy equivalent would be Serial Monogamy/Trophy Wife. See Donald Trump's relationships over the years. Just because the guy version requires better prenups and funds doesn't mean its any different, just harder to pull off. Relationship rejection is MUCH more common than any other type of rejection for men, so its not reasonable to compare it to other life events. It still doesn't make too much sense to complain about it, because what does complaining change ? No one expects women to prioritize relationships. If you want a relationship now, maybe you should find someone better, or even moderately older, if they have their life together. The relationship market is not ruled by logic, you just have to decide your priorities and maybe a 'good' guy isn't good enough, without that ambition. Now there is a counter current that Simps, and White Knight Syndrome men are part of the problem, but while there are good and bad men, there is a clear stereotypical 'all women suk' theme running through TRP. There is even a term for it, AWALT, meaning all women are like that ('that' being irrational) I've tried to push back on this, to no effect, but I can ASSURE you that all HUMANS are irrational, men and women, and its not hard to find examples. My favorite examp…

Celebrity is the ultimate aphrodisiac. Real power is hard to get and hold onto in modern society, and money is not you in physical form, its just something you control for now. You could be famous for anything, or even infamous. How many death row inmates have lovers, way more than should have them, but somehow women are digging to the bottom of the dumpster to pull Clide out for his final fling. Celebrity washes away all the other flaws one might have.

Society is oblivious, one way or the other. Only a fool would not be aware how the family court system has a huge anti-male bias, and could destroy your life, if you come into its crosshairs.'Society' would be a better place if we were free to live our lives as we see fit, but its gone down a dark path instead, and now we have to maneuver around it, to be free.

Have you ever heard the expression 'all's fair in love and war ?' Anyone can say there is a rule, or they can break a rule. The truth is, there really are no real hard and fast rules, only arrangements people come to. Most women will have sex on a first date, if the moment is right. If she tells you to wait an entire month, either the moment seems way off to her, or something else is going on in her life.

Men feel nothing for prostitutes, there is no emotional bond. That is the point of paying for it, no commitment or effort. It has no effect on a man's ability to love someone else, besides a slight loss of semen.

Unless the person is super receptive, to you specifically, you don't have some default right to make creepy sexual comments to them. The fact that its specifically a costume makes it less likely that they actually want sexual advances, since its not the 'real' them, its an act. At times, some women may want you to see them as sex objects and for you to make advances to them, but to know when, you need to be aware of body language and other signals that it is OK. Clearly men want sex more than women want it. THAT part is universal, I would suggest that this applies to most animals as well, judging by all the macho BS you see in the animal kingdom. How men cope with this is all over the map. I think most men are in some kind of relationship, but then all the rest ended up on the internet complaining about it. This isn't the kind of sub that men in relationships would frequent, so any survey here will be hard leaning toward the misogynists.

I think women get shamed for these things by other women, in a way guys just don't. The crude gender reference was to family court almost always giving 'child support' to the mother, even in a 50-50 custody split (where logically there should not be a support issue, since both parties have equal time available to work) Things CAN change, slowly then suddenly. It depends on how you define the word 'use'. If women just look great and people just give them stuff because reasons, that is just 'if you've got it, flaunt it', and if looking great can help you get ahead (and it can), why not ? There is no point in trying to have a long term relationship, since they can often end on a dime, and cost you dearly. There is no point in having children, for the same reason, and they could also turn out bad if you don't spend time with them, which is likely if the relationship ends. On the plus side, if you take all the resources you are not spending on this Americana Norman Rockwell BS, you can improve your personal economic situation dramatically in a few decades, even with a stagnant inco…

Its not really a good or bad thing, its reality, and its by choice. Since we are not having very many children on average, and the number is declining, there is no other possible endgame. I imagine if you had a survey of native American attitudes in the 19th century it would be a variation on this red pill theme, that the immigrant conquering white people would become a majority in their country, and it wasn't worth having lots of their own kids to live on a reservation or be killed by the invad…

Yes, its Devastated, but society didn't collapse, in fact, the prison-industrial complex just chugs along, proving that black lives not only don't matter, but are actually a profit center (!!) The point isn't that society isn't worse this way, only that its not collapsing at all, and will never collapse, without a lot bigger push than some kids without fathers. Society is far stronger than people give it credit for being, regardless of how many lives 'the system' destroys. that is the flaw of th…

The threat of technology obsoleting jobs is way overrated. I've been waiting a long time for those self-driving cars to take away my delivery job. So far, not a single one delivering food, only some prototypes. The fact is, a computer can't deal with random construction cones everywhere, and adverse weather, which is when drivers are needed the most. I think it will be quite some time before our jobs are gone, or even partially gone.

Yes, the phrasing is different, but garbage like that is part of red pill. Usually its stated as society will collapse UNLESS men revolt, or maybe that society is 100 % collapsing, so just roll with it. The reality is, they overemphasize the importance of the traditional family. But as a practical matter, society seems to be running just fine on majority single mothers. Yea, the values are different, but it still runs and is stable-ish. Anyone hoping for the collapse will be disappointed. A dirt…

No one seriously advances the idea that women owe low quality men sex, this is neckbeards in their mother's basement level of strawman argument. Most serious RP posters want self improvement, and to be a part of the hypergamy by offering themselves up for some of the low commitment sex that the black pillers complain about. The truth is people don't need sex, and the sooner people accept this new reality, the faster we can get to a steady state population level. Its a lot like the South Park epi…

So much sarcasm, must resist troll bait . . . I know this type of person, you might call them 'young', even though they are of age, and they are really bad at planning ahead. They meet some girl, and for some reason they have not purchased said pregnancy reducing item, yet they go for it anyway, I see it every so often. Society will never blame the woman for a pregnancy, there is just a kind of anachronistic chivalry out there, and its pretty intense, even though its very similar to racism, and …

I mean, the risk of a man being forced to provide child support is so well known that I didn't mention it. I suppose I am not familiar enough with the different laws to know if child support can be imposed unilaterally by one party or not, but it is at least possible to not have anyone to provide support, and that is the risk to the woman of casual hookups.

Women, you will never be valued for your mind or your career by an average man, unless you are a CEO, super famous, have multiple millions of USD, or invent the iPod, and you probably have not done any of that, if you are here on reddit. The average man doesn't really care if you have money, we can (And will) usually get by on what we have, even if its peanuts, and its not entirely uncommon for a woman to make more than a man, but that doesn't actually change things. If a man DOES ask for money,…

Shameless male thirst has been a thing as long as the human race has been a thing, and I imagine our precursor species where the same. Hell, even animals have it, watch any nature special on mating rituals. Women being sexually liberated in the west is only like 70 years old. Which are you going to complain about ? Dirt, or rockets. It really makes no sense to complain about dirt...

Almost no one is valued for their mind, man or woman. Unless you invented the iPhone. Sexual characteristics are much more valued in society, in general. Even as a woman, you should be able to see and understand this illogic. You may care about YOUR mind, but the majority care about other things. I imagine even you don't care about other minds, especially if they disagree with your worldview.

Women were not allowed to be on the beaches of Normandy. If somehow we re-fought WW 2 today with present forces, there would be women soldiers there, not 50-50, but there would be some. These examples are not 'value', but just an expression of the Bell Curve between men and women. Men are the outliers on both sides, we may have most of the inventors and warriors, but we also have most of the insane asylum and prison population, and for the same reason.

Its dangerous to sh!t where you live. If it doesn't work out perfectly, your best friend will blame you for doing it, and may not forgive you. Its just so much safer to move a little bit out of your friend group. I once lost a friend because he thought my mom damaged his bike. How dumb is that, it was just a bike, they are so easily replaceable, and I don't even know if the story is true, there was no way to know. Now replace mother with you, and bike with sister, and you can see how this could …

TRP isn't my main posting area, but the term 'most good' is so subjective its a very dangerous rabbit hole. Money is a means to allocate scarce resources, with scarce being the keyword, basically hard choices. It may seem in the current political climate in the US that you can just print a trillion here, 5 trillion there, but that is an illusion. No matter how many green pieces of paper you make when printer go BRRRRRRR, at the end of the day, the resources are still scarce, and shouldn't be thr…

Effectively, we do treat all life as very valuable, not infinite, but way more than the amount one might earn in an average lifetime. What sense does it make to spend $6 million on a single premature fetus, it makes no sense, but we do it anyway, same with climate change, same with toxic chemicals in telephone poles (its a rather out there thing, but quite real). The problem with climate change is similar to covid 19. Because the worst possible outcome is unthinkably huge, it justifies absurd ou…

I hope you don't actually think all human life is infinitely valuable, because in that case no one should take any risk, because the outcome could be catastrophically huge to someone with that value system. You just have to put a reasonable value on human life, so funds can be allocated properly in society. Otherwise spending trillions on climate change and taking tar out of wooden electric poles would be our top priorities.

Its more like we don't get all emo about some random small atrocity half way around the world in a place we can't find on a map. In reality, I think most of us don't even care about this event, not really, we only bring it up to mock the double standard, but there has ALWAYS been the double standard, even in history. People have always been overprotective of women, its probably genetic.

It is a strange comment, like somehow having a relationship means you can't change the world, don't have the time for it, or maybe the social reform she wants is to destroy marriage itself. The story itself is very 'Bourgeois', in that it follows the traditional narrative of 'did a bad thing long ago, but now I've come to Jesus' Clearly since she is 35 and still has no steady income or health insurance, she needs a provider, so she is unlikely to announce she is going back to her youthful ways, …

Money gives freedom to do whatever you want, not happiness. You don't save to have a pile of money, you save to have your money earn a paycheck for you, so you are not stressed about earning it, and can handle bad things happening to you, because they are always a possibility.

People here like to complain, but the average salary is much higher, even if you do menial work. People can blow any amount of money, if they don't have discipline, which is why you hear the complaints about the middle class. Most of those complaints are that easy and good jobs are hard to find, and that is the case. Making sizeable money isn't easy, but its possible, lots of looking and trying different things is required to get that higher pay, its a lot like PUA, you gotta approach a lot of e…

This. This just sets off your natural 'scam radar', and makes you want to check your wallet. Its SO uncommon that I find that my first instinct is caution, rightly or wrongly. Also this specific article is about an experiment to uncover male bias, so caution WAS the right response to such an experiment, since there is no prize for this 'science day game', beyond any initial payment.

Why should an uncommitted woman's (or man's) first priority be virtue ? Is this to impress people, or are you "scoring points for the afterlife" ? I mean, if you are, that's cool and all, but that would seem to be a minority position in the present world. There is a lingering 'women having sex is bad' thing in our society, but the underlying logic of it is weak, beyond avoiding diseases and pregnancy, and it seems to be a 'legacy patriarchy' thing.
