Scripted implies that the investments along with the interactions and outcome are pre-determined, which isn't the case with this show. A lot of "reality shows" are in fact scripted For Shark Tank, the sharks don't know anything about the people, they haven't met before with the inventors, and have no idea about the backstory of the inventors either.
