I read all the similar stories here and its heart breaking. I also went through my divorce with zero support. No one cared. The lesson I learned: take ownership for your life and your happiness. I am that caring friend and person for myself that I need. Of course its not ideal but I see it as necessary in such a world.

Look, statistically and culturally once you get married you are "on the ropes" to use a boxing metaphor. Because all it takes is for your wife to "feel" like things are not right. Look into “PMDD” that’s what it sounds like. My ex had it and ruthlessly hated and discarded me every few weeks. I would make excuses that it was just her pmdd and adhd rsd, etc but… Turns out it was really how she actually felt. Found that out when she tossed me aside and found a new guy. Looking back I wish I stood up for myself more. It would have ended things much sooner and I would have been mentally healthier.
