I don't understand people like this, and I honestly never want to. It's literally in their job title... Loss prevention. They're supposed to do everything they can, within reason, to prevent the store losing money to scummy people like this. And, for the most part, they're well within their rights to detain you until police arrive. Some stores have a hands off policy because they can afford to just eat the loss. A lot of them can't. And that's where these guys come in.
