That way not only are they not committing more crimes to avoid punishment, but they also don't want to commit more crimes and don't feel they need to. There is video evidence of a man accelerating into a crowd. There is no guess work involved. When you accelerate into a crowd, you're going to kill people. There was no danger behind him, so he wasn't trying to escape anything or in self defense. The only option that leaves is intention to harm/kill. I believe people saying there isn't enough evidence have a fundamental misunderstanding of what is required to establish intent. You don't need a piece of paper stating "I will drive my car into a crowd of people" to establish intent and indict for murder. My personal belief is that abortion should be legal until the third trimester (except for cases of the mothers health, which would extend the limit). The two are not mutually exclusive.
