That’s a good perspective on it. I would rate the calisthenics higher than powerlifting movements for sure. I think we can agree that there’s benefits to both, and that if both done the right way is what to aim for. Except powerlifting would result in more injuries I’m assuming. If i had to go a step further, id say the actual mechanics of lifting/moving another person would be more ideal since it’s specific to the goals. I agree with a lot of what you’re saying. In my experience i wrestled in high school and college, am a brown belt in bjj, and have competed in amateur boxing matches. The one point you made about “The longer you spend lifting, the more your body will acclimate to it...etc”, is a very good one, and should be followed, but I’d like to add to it.
