I genuinely tried to find evidence that showed that walking at night was more dangerous for women, and I couldn't find any. The only thing I found is that, in surveys, women say they feel more afraid. It's like, no shit, sherlock. If men are taught not be afraid, they're not going to be afraid. Men are taught to disregard fear, so they don't won't worry about stuff like that. Like you said, it's more often men that are victims than women. None of this is based in reality. We shouldn't be basing laws off of how people (e.g. women) FEEL. We should be basing them off facts.
