It's just a silly example, replace "vegan" for any other thing you identify with. What I was trying to say is that some guys give women too many chances or they excuse shitty behaviour (or just things they don't really like) in hopes of getting some.

Sadly that depends from person to person and most of the time is out of your control. What might be "too quiet" for someone might be perfect for another one. Just don't stress over it and let it happen. If you wanna ask her stuff because you truly want to know about her, do it. If it goes south, it probably means you wouldn't be compatible. Don't turn the date into an interrogation, though. Let things flow naturally and develop the conversation from her answers.

Simply being true to yourself. Let me give you a basic example: Imagine you are a hardcore vegan. This is not to laugh at vegans, just to make a simple point. You are a strict vegan and you meet a woman. The woman of YOUR DREAMS. She's hot, intelligent, fun and a joy to be around. You meet her and set up a date. But... She's a hardcore carnivore. She doesn't know you are a vegan, and she proposes to have dinner with you. You discuss places, and she says: "Yeah, let's go to X place. I want to hav…

Yeah, exactly. I don't remember who said it, but "if you insist on putting someone on a pedestal, they won't want to get off of it". If you treat women like human beings, not only will you show them actual respect (since they are humans, not prizes to be won) but you'll instantly come ahead of all those who lick the floor they walk on.

Yeah, that's why there are nice guys and "nice guys". Fortunately, genuine nice guys are easy to distinguish from the other ones.

Having your own boundaries and values. Basically, taking no bullshit from her just because it's a woman you like. Would you let a random guy get away with the same things you allow her to do? It sounds strange, but it's really common: Letting a girl/woman treat you badly and/or showing behaviour you don't approve of otherwise just to get on her good side. Trying to agree with everything she says, having no opinions of your own (afraid of offending her), being too cautious... It comes off as desp…

It's not so simple, but most "nice guys" are actually entitled jerks: They are nice with the girl with the hopes of getting her. That's manipulation. Also, their true self is not only not nice, but entitled ("You should go out with me, since I'm so nice!"), probably also clingy (since they have few opportunities) and a doormat (would do anything to appear nice for the girl). If a guy is nice with everyone in general, without expecting anything in return and also has a backbone, that's a differen…

I suggest you look up Alan Roger Currie's "Mode One" and the rest of his works. It helps you deal with these kind of women ("Manipulative Timewasters", on his terms) and ultimately save time, money and frustration. But as others have said, state your intentions clear from the beginning and don't back down.

At least you now have an excuse to take girls out for a pizza. Cowabunga! j/k, as they already said it's not that important for pickup; that hand will be a disadvantage if you see it like one. You can make use of the situation and tell them a story about it or simply not make a big deal out of it and act natural if they (ever) ask about your hand. If you finally accept it and live with it normally you will have even more confidence than "normal" guys, so go for it!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
