Is it possible that the girl is taking cues from her mother? I'm not saying that the mom is being malicious, but rather influencing her daughters perception of men with her own strong, sexist opinions. That's really unfortunate.

I saw a woman in walmart last night at around 11:30pm. She was about 3/4 as wide as the aisles, was riding in her own rascal, and was towing 3 small children around on those kid leash things. No one seemed concerned.

I'm not Communist nor do I support communism, but can't people see how they belittle her position by being more concerned about her sex than her point of view? You're taking someone who has spent years gaining support, arguing her position, leading others, etc. and boiling them down to one word: female. Is there anything more chauvinistic?

I don't think this is a good analogy. Both are unsupportable positions. How about: It's like standing in McDonalds and telling the customers that this food is going to kill them and their children. BTW, if you ever want to talk about the existence of God, just about anyone in /r/christianity would be happy to discuss it with you.

Sort of, they still have to ask you not to carry. According to several court cases in TN (I think involving Walmart), those signs act as warnings that the proprietor may ask you to remove your gun from the premises. In effect, it means that, if they don't know you're carrying, you can carry where you want to.

Or just don't abide by the "rules". My friends and I decided to go to a movie out of the blue in the middle of the afternoon last summer. I'm not going to try to analyze this or put words in Dr. Paul's mouth, but I will remind you of one thing. Ron Paul has stood on a platform of gaining the Presidency so he can leave you in peace to practice or not practice religion how you will. If there is anything he would bring from the church to the government, it would be something like Thomas Aquinas' Just War Principles. That's something I think we can all get behind, irrespective of religious affiliation.

This is really sick. A judge took away the son of a friend of my family and gave it to his meth addicted ex-wife. It came out in court that she was addicted to meth and that he left her for the safety of the child. The judge said that was a horrible way to treat a woman.

That makes a lot of sense, when you don't have the full story. I don't really want to get into it, since the whole reason I posted this has been dealt with, to some extent (see EDIT). I will say that someone I have known for a number of years and trust completely got to know my coworker's wife. She told me several things that make it very difficult to see it from the wife's point of view.

Everyone involved knew this was a start-up. Start-ups are notorious for not paying much at the outset. Also, people work for more than financial gain. I took this job over another position where I would make about twice as much because I believe in this company. My coworker took his job because it was his dream position. If you honestly believe that the point of work is solely for financial gain, I really feel bad for you. Maybe you haven't found what you are meant to do, yet. Keep looking!
