You are so right about that double-standard stuff. I really do hate how some men are so one-sided about such things, though I personally am disgusted by stripping/porn/promiscuity in both genders so I wouldn't want to be with someone who was tolerant of that. However in this case I'm sure he's also factoring in how she kept it hidden from him, and is now thinking about what else she might be hiding. Hopefully there isn't anything else to worry about, but ending it now could save them a world of …

Your aggressive rhetorical questioning and comparisons read simply as scolding, as if your a pushy mother and he's your child. You're right in that he should leave if he can't accept her for who she was/is, but it's clear that this is a problem that's going to haunt them forever because it's bothering him to the point of needing someone, strangers, to convince him that it's all going to be ok. I just see it as a major red flag and an obvious sign that she isn't as "perfect" for him as he thinks,…

Overreaction much? Let the man adhere to his standards. He absolutely does not need to "get over it" if he is uninterested in pursuing the relationship further, he can leave for whatever reason he wants. It would be worse for him to stay with her since he is now turned off by her history, which she cannot change.

So you want to win someone over by NOT being yourself? Yeah...that'll end...nicely... Surely you want someone unlike who you've had in the past, but if you're still conflicted as to what type of love you want to receive, maybe now is not the time to be searching for it.

Well, the thing is that you DO, because the only thing you'll ever have complete control over is yourself. Maybe you're thinking too broadly, going too deep into the abyss. The female mind isn't a one size fits all sort of thing. We are so amazingly different from one another. Seek out women who have qualities you like, avoid women who have qualities you don't like. Treat the women you're interested in the way that you'd like them to treat you, that'll usually set a steady pace. Whether that pac…

Don't you think that your cynicism is making you view life through a narrow lense? You're missing out on all the stories of women being faithful to their cheating husbands, men initiating divorce, men initiating breakups, men lying to their honest girlfriends, men beating women up for no good reason, etc. You're focusing on the things that make a certain belief true, you're not being impartial to reality. Truth is both genders can be shitty, but not every person is going to give you shit. It's a…

You say these things with such certainty but you're wrong. I absolutely cannot relate to the stereotypes you believe in. I DO like when guys are kind and aren't afraid to show interest, and when they do I reciprocate the same behavior. So there is your exception to the "rule". First of all, an approach is only seen as desperate if you truly are desperate. If you're coming across as significantly cocky or nervous then those are dead giveaways that your interest isn't completely genuine. Otherwise…

Sometimes their tricks work, sometimes they don't, but what are you really looking for? Do you want to go on meaningless dates with people who you'll never cherish or do you want to develop a healthy relationship with someone you can love? I'm guessing the latter since you're on here. If that's so, then going back to those corrupt strategies shouldn't even be considered. It seems you're just overwhelmed by the disappointment in finding a companion and want to give up and give in to the dark side…

I must say, I do think men have a harder time deciphering women since women can be rather sneaky and complex compared to men, who I feel are more honest. So for that reason a book like that might be helpful. However so far I've been doing a good job at screening, but if I ever slip perhaps I'll give this book a try :)

I've always been a bit curious about published dating advice, but it just seems like a scam to me. I feel the best way to go about your love life is finding someone naturally. How have the books helped you?

Have you read that book as well?

I think that goes without saying. That's why I said not everyone is going to grasp you that way. You probably misinterpreted my wording. I'm a straight woman so I'll pass on the book haha

Simply said, you have to love someone for who they are as a person just as much as you appreciate them physically. The affection and respect will come naturally then, but not every girl you meet is going to infatuate you at that level.

Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a woman (or man) who's more traditional and has more self-respect than most. But I don't think those guys realize that most women who are of that mindset want men who are the same, meaning not men who are sexually impulsive, with baggage, and who basically don't practice what they preach. Maybe that's why they end up with women who disappoint them.

It was more than that if it kept happening over and over. Lots of us, girls included, still haven't found the right person yet either. It really is just luck of the draw, but you can increase your chances by going for girls that appear to be compatible with you based on more than just looks. Also, being overly cynical isn't something I'd say most people have on their standards list.

I think it'd be much better for them to speak with women in person so that they don't automatically assume someone is lying through the internet. I think a lot of those guys derive their opinions off of, well, lewd women. Lewd women are easy for men to talk to and therefore probably the type of woman that is very prevalent in their life. They then make an exaggerated assumption that all women behave the same way a misbehaved woman does, but that is far from the truth. Problem is, like you said, …

How many women that you encountered DIDN'T say what she said or even anything remotely close? Waaaaayyyy more than one, I bet. Actually, probably every single woman you see today will NOT say something like that. You are focusing on negative minutea because your mind is still in the gutter. You feel bad, so wherever you look you'll find something to prove your feelings are true. Instead of doing that, how about you look at the brighter side that you're ignoring even though it is much more preval…

It doesn't sound like you're asking for help. It seems like you're comfortable with your issues and just want to vent. That's maybe why you have an issue in the first place. Why would you wanna live your life hating everyone? How miserable. How unfulfilling. You're letting bad experiences get the best of you. In other words, you're giving up. Do you really think women are looking for a man who hates everything and everyone? I don't think so. Surely you can't be ignorant enough to really believe …

I've known people like this. They do it because they're insecure. Or a lot of times their bodies are fake but they gotta play it off, so they shouldn't be there in the first place. Gyms are a waste of money, though, because you can get great results at home for little to no cost and a better diet. It's also more sanitary.
