It's because people are fundamentally tribal. A lot of women think they're "progressive" because they support women's rights, but supporting your own rights is just tribalism, not progressivism. Not that there's anything wrong with supporting your own rights, but if you claim you're doing it out of progressiveness and then get angry because other groups also want their own rights - you're not being progressive.

I know several wonderful women (who definitely don't smell bad) who've had very little success finding suitable men. If it's that difficult there's probably something wrong with them that men are noticing. Maybe they let subtle misandry slip sometimes and you don't notice because you're a woman. Truly wonderful women find wonderful men all the time.

I know plenty of couples where the man respects physical boundaries and washes his ass. If you can't find a man like that ... it's possible there's just something really off putting about you, like a terrible smell, but everyone is too polite to tell you.

There are groups that have done public protests, e.g. Fathers for Justice in the UK protested unfair family courts, but they mostly got ridiculed. First of all, some men do advocate for their rights. If you mean why are there giant protests for women's rights but not for men's, well that's because society is gynocentric. At a societal level, women's comfort is always seen as overall more important than men's.

Women should be able to get abortions and men should be able to back out and refuse child support if she decides to keep the baby. Well we tried giving women their rights first and there was no progress for men for decades. How about this time around we try give men their rights first and then women can have theirs?

The only way to make things gender egalitarian is for abortion to be legal, but taxed. The tax should cost as much as child support. That way it's not a matter of bodily autonomy, but a matter of money, just like it is for men. If a woman needs an abortion for medical reasons, she can then petition the courts to lower her tax, the same way a man who has a medical issue/disability can petition the courts to lower his child support.

I agree with most of what you said. But I can also strip it away and see that we don't really need it anymore. This I'm not too sure of. Secular societies seem to all have plummeting birthrates and shrinking populations (if you exclude immigration). Without religion it seems people have no drive to have enough children to keep humanity going. For now secular countries can sustain their populations with immigrants from more religious countries, but as the world secularizes there will be fewer rel…

If you're an atheist, presumably you believe in evolution. Evolution applies to culture too. Now ask yourself, would institutions like religions last thousands of years if they didn't confer some reproductive advantage? Religious people are still family centric and having kids, while secular people are driving themselves extinct with low birthrates. You don't have to believe in God to be religious. You just have to believe in evolution.
