However, she was stupid enough to email our boss, and therefore I could now pursue her for defamation under Kentucky law. I had to pay $5000 up front to a civil attorney to get the case going. She finally settled at the threat of trial. Her stupid husband was also part of the hoax. They wanted to ruin me professionally.
