Lord of all Lies. One if the oldest tales of toxic masculinity debunked. Boys stuck on a deserted island for over year do not descend into violence. In fact cooperation and organization saved them.Ah yes, the conclusion of the study that literally said: One possible explanation for this, assuming that men and women are equally likely to initiate physical violence, is that men, who are typically larger and stronger, are less likely to retaliate if struck first by their partner. Thus, some men may be following the norm that “men shouldn’t hit women” when struck first by their partner. A different explanation is that men are simply less willing to report hitting their partner than are women.… | /r/MensRights | 06/04/21 05:11 PM

Besides, it's funny that you guys keep using this one study to "prove" that women are more violent than men, despite the study itself literally saying that there is likely a huge underreporting of men being violent, much like in the police study of DV. 40% is the low end estimate. Out of 24% of all relationships, 50% of those are reciprocally violent (~12% of all relationships), and 70% of the time, women were the instigators, which indicates ~8.4% of all relationships have female perpetrators. | 1 | Circumcision is forced in infants despite men being averse to having their genitals cutIt won't come up on google searches, but if you search circumcision on twitter or facebook, or if you go to 4chan or any part of the weird porn subreddits you might see what I mean. There's a huge propaganda campaign to make men with circumsizsed penises feel inferior to other uncircumsized men. It's heavily tied to the campaigns that are trying to get white men to feel inferior to black men in terms of penis size. All of this leads to toxic masculinity. | 37 | There are more of male victims of sexual assault and 80% of the perpetrators are women. Why on earth do we see it as a female issue.I don't think it discounts feminism entirely, just the more aggressive forms of it that say men don't face issues in society and that all society's problems are caused by men and the patriarchy. Of course women face issues that are specific to them, and we need to fix those issues, but it's very clear that men are being left in the dust when it comes to issues men face. Many prominent feminist activists completely ignore men's issues, and they're very snobby about it. | /r/MensRights | 31/03/20 03:08 AM |

Urban Dictionary makes MRAs look bad! Insulting MRAs/Men, jokes, putting words in our mouths, and not displaying our facts!A lot of it comes from sexual repression. It's not just all the guy's fault. When I was in grade school, I had a tendency to think and act that way, too. I was raised in a very religious Christian household, so that perverted my view on relationships and sex. Also, there's a very common belief that circumcision prevents boys from masturbating. Boys are repressed in ways that are both similar and different to how girls are. | /r/MensRights | 25/03/20 06:31 PM

Women tell men to "man up" all the time when they're facing hardships. Some women also don't believe that men can be raped. Some women also believe that men are pedophiles and shouldn't be around even their own children. Those ideas that men "should be" a certain way is what definies toxic masculinity. "Men should be only the provider and not caretaker of his children. That's a woman's job". "Men can't express their emotions, that's only for w… | /r/MensRights | 11/12/19 04:27 PM |

That moment when the invention of rubber boots is more important than International Mens' DayI think a part of it isn't that men are whining about the boot thing or not having a google doodle for the sake of not having a google doodle, it's more about the fact that society tends to turn a blind eye to issues men encounter, which is reflected in the fact that most people didn't even know IMD was a thing. It's not really about "what about meeee", but rather "we matter, too, and we are trying to spread awareness by having a day dedicated to it". I don't think any of those guys (spare for t… | /r/MensRights | 06/12/19 04:49 PM
That moment when the invention of rubber boots is more important than International Mens' DayIMD isn't about hating on women... just go to twitter or facebook and look up the hashtag. The vast majority of comments are about bringing up problems that men encounter in society. That's what IMD is about, and saying that just because a group of actual incels and MRA assholes are using it to hate women makes that what IMD is about is just disingenuous. That's like saying that IWD is about hating men just because there's a group of radical feminists using it that way. | /r/MensRights | 06/12/19 03:59 PM
That moment when the invention of rubber boots is more important than International Mens' DayHis argument wasn't that women didn't have it worse, it was a rebuttal to your claim that "[men have] been writing the rules and basically determining society for the entirety of history", which is factually incorrect in so many ways. | /r/MensRights | 06/12/19 03:49 PM
Maybe this ridiculous rationale might help some people understand circumcisionBut it isn't really comparable because your foreskin isn't always showing as in the case of breasts. Even though the breasts can be covered, they are always present. The penis is generally covered and not visible for women. | /r/MensRights | 06/12/19 02:49 PM
Maybe this ridiculous rationale might help some people understand circumcisionAgreed with everything said, but breasts do have utility. It's to attract men (and I'm not saying bigger = better, there are different preferences men have for breast size which has been shown to be correlated with things such as their socioeconomic status). | /r/MensRights | 05/12/19 09:42 PM
Maybe this ridiculous rationale might help some people understand circumcisionI can say as a rebuttal that the labia has no function and must be removed for cleanliness. | /r/MensRights | 05/12/19 08:55 PM
Maybe this ridiculous rationale might help some people understand circumcisionHe's not comparing, he's calling out the double standard. And yes, it was 100% satirical, get over yourself. The "you know because cleanliness" part was the obvious give away. | /r/MensRights | 05/12/19 08:45 PM
Maybe this ridiculous rationale might help some people understand circumcisionYes, circumcision makes men feel like less of men. There's tens of thousands of sensitive nerve endings in the foreskin that's completely lost when cut off. Also, it makes masturbating harder because you need more lubrication. Uncircumcised men don't really need lube to masturbate. It's also the cause of desensitization in the head of the penis because the foreskin is ususally acting as a physical barrier. Also, phimosis only occurs in ~1% of men. | /r/MensRights | 05/12/19 08:35 PM

National crisis-Free tests for biggest killer of men, Prostate cancer, are being scrapped to 'save government money'. Imagine the outcry if they scrapped tests for breast cancer for women instead?! THIS is the REAL 'Equality gap'.I wonder if anyone has actually read the 50 page report, and has medical knowledge to properly comment on it. The NHS claims that these interventions are unnecessary, like how getting a full MRI for a simple cold would be wildly unnecessary. I don’t quite see how this is supposed to pit men and women against each other besides a bunch of people misinterpreting the data. | /r/MensRights | 30/11/19 07:19 PM
